    The Boomerang

Blue Kangaroo is amazing! Their boomerang drink is so so good! Their prices are totally affordable as well. It is insanely cheap if you ask me. Love that. They also have awesome food menu. Breakfast sandwiches, gluten free options, grab and go, bakery items and more. You won't be disappointed. They are always busy, but they move people in and out so quickly. I'm always impressed by their organization and effectiveness. It's a real cute spot, especially for outdoor dining when looking for quick, easy and good. Check them out!

Everyone we come here everything is fabulous!! It's a popular place and can get busy but the staff is quick and your order comes out in a short time. The only issue you'll ever have is "what do I order? it all looks, smells and tastes so good!" Also had a green tea lemonade it was so good I finished it before I thought to get a pic.

Such a cute local cafe right in Barrington. Filled to the brim with goodies! Endless treats and sweets. 10/10 for staff friendliness and attention. 10/10 for selection. (Gluten free options and non dairy options.) 9/10 for food and drink. 10/10 location (not much else close by like this place) Things Ive ordered: Berry/yogurt smoothie: missing something. Heavy on the fruit flavor in the beginning of the sip and then comes the tart yogurt flavor. Its good and healthy! Just missing another layer. Maybe honey? Everything bagel w/ cc: was not asked if I wanted my bagel toasted or not. So I was stuck with an untoasted bagel that already had cc on it- so I couldn't retoast. However, bagel was delicious and amount of cream cheese was perfect. Matcha latte w almond milk: only $5.29 for a LARGE iced matcha latte?! Move aside starbucks ! My only complaint is that the almond milk offered is vanilla/sweetened. I prefer an unsweetened plain almond milk in my matcha, therefore it tasted much sweeter than I prefer. But still great and cant beat the price. Homemade granola bars at register: omg so filling and healthy and Delish! I'm probably gonna snag one everytime I stop in. Would love other varieties:) Cute place, friendly staff and locals, huge selection, fair prices.

The #2 breakfast sandwich , slamming scrambled eggs, prosciutto, red onion, pesto, and Asiago cheese on everything bagel. It a different combination but it works. The ice tea amazing. Lemon donut out standing. The service is great like well oiled machine. This place has a cool hippie vibe. Love it and will be back, so many things to try.

Rhode Island is so lucky to have a place like Blue Kangaroo. Today my visit was around breakfast time but they also have sandwiches, salads, soups, pasta, chicken parm (lots of options to take pre made meals to go!). I grabbed their signature drink today, the Iced Boomerang which is a mix of their special coffee syrup, milk and toasted espresso. It's my absolute favorite coffee I have ever had and at one point in time they knew my order the minute I walked in the door because of how often I was getting it from there. I also got a gluten free pumpkin chocolate chip muffin- they have lots of gluten free pastry items and even bread/wrap options which is amazing. They just recently updated their hours which is great so they're open later. The outside is decorated so nicely for fall and there's seating both inside and outside. I love the environment and overall feeling here, it's so welcoming and friendly!

Went for the yell elite event and decided to grab a couple sandwiches while we were there. I got the steak bomb with cheese, onions, and a garlic aoli in a wrap. Sandwich delicious and highly recommend! My GF got a meatball sub which was also very good, we both just wish it had more cheese on it but the meatballs were homemade and very good! Staff was friendly and helpful with helping us out since it was our first time, it was a little tight inside with it being pretty busy but they had several tables to eat in on the other side of the cafe. They offered tons of sandwich options, coffees, smoothies, and homemade baked goods! Great spot A+

Cute local cafe with a great variety. Blue Kangaroo Cafe is filled with sweet smells and savory sandwiches. They have a ton of grab-and-go options, and their sandwiches come out pretty quick. Although I did beat the time of a usual lunch rush. Across the street is the town hall, and it's worth a stroll if you're from out of town. I tried the queen's blend tea, which was very light and refreshing. To go along with it, I had a slice of the cheesecake with blueberry compote and was blown away. It was thick and not too sweet, making it one of my favorite slices ever!! Being so impressed, there was one more bite I wanted to try. I grabbed a brickyard sandwich, which was filled with roast beef, peppers, blue cheese, and pepper jack cheese. The olives and lettuce also added a nice touch of flavor, but the first four stood out and made a great sandwich. The variety and the cafe itself make it a go-to spot for a variety of reasons. Be it a study session or meeting place. A spot to grab a local lunch on the go or a breakfast bite. Maybe even a replacement for your daily Starbucks. I can give you a dozen reasons to try Blue Kangaroo Cafe, so let me know what you think!

What a cute little spot the Blue Kangaroo Cafe is! It gave the feel of a small town country side general store with a lot to offer, and the vibe was casual and comfortable. The girl who took our order was so sweet, she was excited to chat about different cafes across Rhode Island, and seemed genuinely happy that we paid this cafe a visit. My husband and I ordered the Berry Tart, a latte with honey, cinnamon, and vanilla (it was called something like "the bee's knees latte," but I can't remember exactly), and a nitro cold brew. The latte was pretty good! Definitely on the sweet side, but not sickeningly so, and the milk texture was a bit too puffy, but I still really enjoyed it. The amount of cinnamon was nice, and honey and coffee and always a winning combo for me. However, it was a bummer that they do not offer ceramic mugs at all, even upon request. Though, the worker did say I could bring my own reusable mug for next time. The Berry Tart was unassumingly delicious. It was loaded with large berries pieces in a tasty and not too sweet compote. The crust was firm, yet tender and buttery; so good! Overall, we had a wonderful experience at the Blue Kangaroo Cafe. The next time we're in the area, I'd love to visit again!

What can I say about this place on my first visit? The ambience was very cozy and welcoming, and the service was very friendly and fast even though it was lunchtime and the restaurant was extremely busy. After ordering my sandwich, I went down to the other end of the counter to wait for it and within just a few minutes, they had my order ready for me. I went and sat down at one of the many tables they have in there decent sized dining room and sat down to enjoy my lunch. I ordered the Shaky Jake sandwich, which is comprised of roast beef, turkey, pepperoni, Swiss, baby spinach, red onion, hot sauce. Since I don't like spinach, I had them remove that from my sandwich, but all the other ingredients listed were present and what a delicious combo that made! The sandwich was obnoxiously huge and I mean that as a compliment. I literally was barely able to eat the first half of the sandwich and had to take the second half home to finish for dinner that evening. I don't remember what my friend ordered, but he encountered the exact same dilemma that I did and we both agreed that this place was a hit and we would be back The next time we swung through that area. Lots of free parking in the parking lot of the strip mall that it's located in. There are a lot of other choices in the area of this restaurant, but I will prioritize it before the others.

Tt has everything you'd want from a great coffee shop: comfortable seating, plenty of room to spread out and work, a rentable conference room, and something you would not expect from a coffee shop, the Aurora Bar, stocked with a nice selection of local spirits and other favorites. My partner and I stopped in for a quick nibble for lunch on Sunday and this was perfect. My partner went with the Caprese sandwich, which is served on a pressed ciabatta with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, roasted red peppers, spinach, pesto mayo, and balsamic. It was simple and tasty, and I was lucky enough to get a couple bites! I went with the Chicken Bacon Ranch Wrap, which was also simple, but packed with flavor. It had all the obvious ingredients with the addition of pickles, which added such a nice briny little punch and really hit the spot. Something worth noting: both of our items were ordered from the laminated menu at the register, not in the beautiful leather-bound Aurora Bar menu, which appears to be an evening menu with cocktails and other tasty food items. For drinks, I went with an espresso tonic; the slight bitterness of the quinine plays really nicely against the bold espresso, and it's one of those combinations that's refreshing in a way that's hard to explain until you try it. One small note for the team: the Riverside location has always had a real warmth and cohesion to the staff that I haven't quite felt at Bristol. It's not a dealbreaker by any stretch, but a little more energy behind the counter would go a long way. Still a five-star spot, as the coffee and the space more than make up for it.

The vibes were great, there was plenty of room for our party (we had 7 of us), and it didn't feel crowded at all despite the number of people that were in the coffee shop. In a region defined by salt air, stone walls, and inherited understatement, Groundswell gives the landscape a beautiful new chapter. I have been coming to this part of Rhode Island and Massachusetts for close to four decades, and its magic has always been its refusal to perform. Little Compton, Tiverton, and Westport have an old New England intelligence: practical, coastal, and allergic to excess. The mood is L.L.Bean utility, Patagonia values, and Helly Hansen competence, with a little yacht club literacy and none of the theater. Groundswell respects that world, then adds candlelight, espresso, and French mischief. There is practical brilliance in having a venue this chic nearby, because city slickers inevitably visit, and family members must sometimes be kept happy even when their taste tests our patience. The cafe is the heart of the experience for me. The building was previously The Provender, which we loved, and Groundswell deepened our fondness for that chapter rather than simply replacing what came before it. There is a French ease to the venue, patio, and food, as though someone raised between Paris and Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat came to New England, fell hard for its privacy, then built the dream cafe they wished existed. It has continental polish, but the soul is still Rhode Island. Even when the cafe is busy, it works beautifully. The line moves through the building in an intuitive U-shaped flow, showing that someone thought carefully about summer traffic while preserving intimacy. The food comes quickly, but not instantly, and that distinction matters; do not come here in a rush. I am hazy on the full menu, but the yogurt parfait, cinnamon toast, and Caesar salad have stayed with me, and I am pretty sure someone in my family had a turkey and pesto sandwich that looked exactly right. The pace is deliberate, and the point is to savor the coffee, the patio, and people-watching. The pricing feels appropriate, especially for a seasonal business with only a few intense months to make the year work. Nothing feels careless here, which is rare for an experience built so carefully around atmosphere. That sense of intention is what makes it feel polished without becoming stiff. I deeply respect seeing David on site in early July. He is the designer, owner, and operator I recognize as the face of the business, though I am sure many talented people are involved. He is warm, kind, and hands-on, with experience and wisdom evident in a subtle, understated way. He embodies Groundswell's soul and upholds the brand standard in person without making it feel rigid. The broader Groundswell property also makes the whole experience feel original. The shops and garden spaces are intensely charming, with a level of discernment that makes you slow down and look harder. The home goods, gardening pieces, and table settings are so tasteful that I always leave thinking I would be thrilled to have David and his team design my home. I can imagine that eye in the city or near the beach, and just as easily in a country house or alpine retreat. What Groundswell brings to this community is the perfect amount of change. This region is timeless, but every timeless community benefits from careful progress when sprinkled with respect, proportion, and self-awareness. I have not yet been to David's Bristol restaurant, The Franklin, but after seeing the pride he pours into Groundswell, I want to go soon. I do not know the full Groundswell Design Group portfolio, but I suspect this Tiverton project is a crown jewel: something he loves deeply, almost like a child, and the culmination of decades of work, research, and self-criticism; it gives this community French flair, northeastern discernment, and a welcome venue to gather: Très bien!
