    ice water

Woke up this morning and so time for another review and to stop slacking on my one review a week promise. Found this place from Yelp and looked promising and was close by to Riverside so said let's give it a go! First of all I drove by it the first time. I turned around and then found it. Ok, That's on me lol. I took some pictures of the outside area and signage and headed in. There was a waitress helping out some customers so I waited for her to finish but she politely said to me to grab a seat any where. I waited for maybe 4 minutes and the same polite waitress came over and gave me a menu and some nice spotless utensils and asked if I wanted some coffee. I said no thanks I'll just take an ice water. I started looking at the menu and it was small which in my mind that's a great thing! But wait.... Um.... (If you all know me I am a sucker for a good eggs Benedict), but where is it? I searched both sides of th menu again and nothing. So now I'm like maybe they can make one?... The waitress comes back and asks for my order. I asked her if they could make an eggs Benedict and she said sure. I went over with her on how its made but asked if I could swap out the ham for Portuguese blade meat and she was like sure no problem but just to let you know everything is cooked to order so it might be a bit which I said no worries at all. I also ordered a side of crispy bacon. I waited like 8 minutes and here arrives the super piping hot food. Lets review! Eggs benny-, What happened to the Hollandaise sauce? It was like water. I started to get sad but I was like let's review the rest of it first. The eggs were poached nice( getting close to over but he caught it in time). The blade meat was flavored ok but was like boneless pork chops not the typical shreded blade meat ands kind of on the dry side. The lettuce and tomato on the side, um, It just seemed it was plate filler. The home fries- They were pretty good, The flavoring was there but I just wish they were crispy on the outside a bit. The side of bacon- I asked for crispy bacon and I got perfect crispy bacon which made the meal. Overall this is a nice small neighborhood breakfast place. It's only been open since 2023. It has awesome family vibes and I will be back to try something on the menu next time.

Tried a new restaurant this morning. This place is so good! Breakfast burrito with scrambled eggs, chourico, cheddar, crispy fried potatoes, Mozambique sauce, sriracha aioli, pimento sour cream, and guacamole. Unicorn pancake with sprinkles and a side of bacon. Two eggs, sausage, home fries, toast, and blueberry pancakes. Interior is small/mid-sized, no frills, local restaurant with a parking lot. There was no wait and we sat immediately. Service was quick and friendly. We will be coming back!

Thanks to Yelp for pointing us here. It was a small and simple looking place that wowed us with the look and taste of out meals. They serve breakfast all day so I went for an omelet. It was very good to eat and fun to look at. My husband's Rueban had thick and lean corned beef that was enough for two meals. Our server was great. We had our food quickly. A gem!

Saint Martha exudes an old-world, Euro-Chic charm that immediately wraps you in a cozy, comfortable feeling. The details, from the original pressed-tin ceiling to the quaint glass/wood wall separating the kitchen, all add to the ambiance. We started with a complex Black Onion Garlic dip with house-made potato chips. Straight away, this puts everyone in a good mood. Our appetizers consisted of Roasted Farm Carrots & Beets, Lamb and Beef Meatballs, and Citrus & Radicchio Salad (party of 4). All were expertly crafted, creative, and delicious. Of special note, the sauce served with the meatballs was "finger-lickin good". For entrees, we ordered White Lamb Ragu, Roasted Lamb Loin, and Nettie & Ramp Pesto Fettucini. Each dish was beautifully presented and generated a lot of excitement at the table. The roasted lamb, which was perfectly cooked medium rare, was succulent. The house-made, melt-in-your mouth pappardelle pasta served with a ragu sauce put me in the zone. For dessert, we enjoyed 2 servings of a Frangipane buckwheat tart with Almond ice cream. This unusual creation was a homerun. A 32-ounce French Press was enjoyed by all. It's not easy to produce such a meal. Co-owner / Chef Keith and his staff deserve kudos for turning out consistent, extraordinary fare that transports you to a fine European café. The quality of the ingredients, all locally sourced, shine in every dish. If you want something special, look no further than Saint Martha.

The menu isn't overly extensive but we all found dishes that appealed to us. My wife and I shared the Napa Caesar salad - very tasty and unique. I had the White Lamb Ragu with home-made papperdelle (fabulous, rich, flavorful). Wife had the Artichoke Fettuccini with cured egg and she loved it. I started with the Instant Crush, an upgrade from a traditional margarita. She had the orange wine which was bright, not overly sweet and surprisingly refreshing. Service was spot on. Ambiance was lively (small place with as many tables as could comfortably be set). Parking is easy. We'll be back!

Metacom Kitchen is a cozy, intimate bistro, and if you haven't been, you're missing out. The atmosphere pulls you in immediately; warm, unhurried, with just the right amount of low lighting. Behind the bar you'll find a handsome Parisian bartender crafting some of the most thoughtful cocktails around. On this particular visit, that meant an extra dirty gin martini and a chai old fashioned. Both were perfect. My partner and I love to graze, rather than commit to one big entrée, when we can. My partner's family calls it bits and bobs, and that is what we did on this particular visit. We ordered the Duck Plate featuring duck three ways, some picked veggies, a fruit mustard, and grilled focaccia crostini. The Candy Beets & Salsify, which featured jewel-toned beet cubes scattered across what can only be described as a snow of barrel aged feta, roasted salsify (I had to look these up and apparently, they are somewhere between a parsnip and a carrot with an almost oyster like flavor when cooked), topped with some fresh green herbs. The dish was so pretty I almost didn't want to eat it. The Chickpea Fries are exactly what they sound like, and are somehow so much more; golden, crispy little logs served with an A1 aioli that you will not stop eating. The Coriander & Sea Salt Chicken Wings rounded things out; a pile of beautifully seasoned wings with caramelized onions and thyme, paired with a spicy buttermilk dipping sauce that had just the right amount of heat. Everything was absolutely delicious, which is honestly an understatement. We never save room for dessert and that was the plan this time too, until someone nearby ordered a crème brûlée and my partner's head spun around. That's her kryptonite. The version that night had Kahlua in it, which is usually not our thing; but the torched top was a beautiful lacquered brown, the custard underneath was silky, and wow, we were scraping the ramekin. Chef Allaire really knows his stuff. He creates small, decadent bites with ingredients you'd never think to pair, and somehow it all makes perfect sense on the plate. If you're feeling adventurous, make a reservation for Mystery Monday, where a three-course dinner is crafted for you on the spot. Pescatarians and other dietary preferences are accommodated if you let them know ahead of time. It fills up fast, so plan accordingly. If you prefer to order off the regular menu, that's available Monday too, and every other night. Either way, do yourself a favor and get here.

Now, after being back for a month or so, the place is even better than before. We recently enjoyed Monday Madness ($45/head for 3 courses - a steal!) again--every dish was both innovative and delicious. Expect fun surprises like veal croquette with sweetbreads or an inventive duck sampler. The regular menu is concise but well-crafted, which means everything is fresh and prepared with care. I've always felt that a smaller menu leads to higher quality, and it's clear the kitchen is focused on doing each dish well. Hard to imagine other places keeping sixty menu items consistently good or fresh. Service remains reliable and welcoming. The only downside is parking, since you'll need to find a spot on the street nearby. Definitely recommended!

We ordered the mini stuffies, the hummus plate, and the fried pickles. The mini stuffies were a highlight. Loaded with Mello's chouriço and packed with flavor, they're a solid little bite. My grandfather set the bar pretty high for me on stuffies, and these came close. They have a different profile than what I grew up with; a little less bready, more chouriço forward, and the clam flavor takes a back seat. Not necessarily a complaint, they were just different from what I'm used to and were genuinely tasty. The lemon aioli on top was also a nice touch. The fried pickles were exactly what you want them to be. Crispy, well fried, and the breading actually stayed put while you ate them, which is more than I can say for a lot of fried pickles. They came with the same lemon aioli as the stuffies, which worked just as well here. The hummus plate was a bit of a letdown. We've had it many times before and it used to be a standout. This time the hummus itself was thick and pretty flavorless, more like a dense chickpea paste than anything else. The accompaniments were nice though and consisted of heirloom carrots, cucumbers, olives, cherry tomatoes, asparagus, pickled cauliflower, carrot, and a pepperoncini, all served alongside some buttery round crackers that were like a Ritz cracker's more refined cousin. The veggies saved the plate, but the hummus needs to find its way back. I suppose it could have just been an off batch and won't prevent us from trying it again. Cocktails were great, as usual. I had the Anana with scotch. I love pineapple and this has muddled pineapple and basil, pineapple juice, cracked black pepper. It's my go-to here and it delivered again. My partner went adventurous and ordered the Jungle Booby, which is built around tequila blanco and mezcal with campari, pineapple, grapefruit, lime, orgeat, and an absinthe spritz. The flavors were genuinely good, but the smokiness from the mezcal was a bit much for her taste. She followed it up with a glass of rosé and had no complaints after that. The cocktail wasn't the problem, it just wasn't her style. One of our favorite spots in Warren for a quick nibble, for a good reason.

One thing that stood out to me the most is that there are different types of tea menus- Afternoon Tea is the more traditional sampler style where you get a little bit of everything, you are even able to pick your 3 sandwiches that you want to try. This also comes with scones, mini pastries & your choice of tea. The Luncheonette I believe is a full size sandwich with soup/salad. There's also a mini version of the Afternoon Tea. We had a group of 4 and chose the Afternoon Tea. Everything tasted so delicious and always makes me want to go home and recreate it all. The cucumber sandwich was so thinly sliced and had such a yummy spread paired with it. I also picked the egg salad & smoked gouda with apple. They had the most creative sandwiches by far. The score were also really good, one had some sort of (strawberry?) glaze on it and paired with some magical cream that tasted like whipped cream & jam. The mini pastries were so delicious and the chocolate tarte with raspberry was the start of the show. They also had mini macaroons & little cookies.
