Amazing. Absolutely amazing. I cannot stress that enough. Diego and his team went above and beyond for brunch for me and a friend. The space is stunning and clearly has even more potential coming. I love all the plants mixed in with the coffee shop vibe. I've had lunch downstairs before and have been wanting to come back, so when we heard about brunch, we were there immediately. Everything was fresh and made to order. It took me way too long to decide because everything looked so good. I ended up ordering something I was a little hesitant about (cottage cheese) in my Crescent Moon Wrap (gluten free, of course) and was pleasantly surprised. It added a nice creaminess with the fresh veggies and scrambled eggs. The home fries were also delicious. Packed with great flavor. The bread is made in-house and many, if not all, options are vegan. I took half my meal home and it was just as good the next day. We tried a variety of cocktails and each one was fantastic. I especially loved the boozy coffee and the blood orange skinny margarita. The espresso martinis were also amazing (both the dark and the light). We also had a mix of a margarita and sangria that was delicious. Diego also served up a cotton candy Martini and a lemon drop Martini. Both of which my friend loved. Next time, I'm ordering an espresso martini with a special tequila infused with coffee alongside the shakshuka, which looked absolutely to die for (served in a cast iron pan). Definitely a comeback spot for both brunch and salsa dancing. Thank you all for a delightful brunch!

I ordered the Stingy Penicillin since it seemed the most interesting (and because I did not realize there was another full page of options). As promised, it was not bitter at all and very smooth. I also loved that it had a giant ice cube with "SA" melted onto it. My friend ordered their old fashioned and it was probably the best one I ever had - it wasn't overly bitter, but instead had a sweet citrus finish. The staff is really kind and attentive. There are TVs at the bar and also tables all around for larger groups, or for more space.

I was expecting it to be a dive (I do love a good dive bar!), but Stingy Alley is beautiful and classy, with an amazing cocktail menu and small bites as well. I loved the dark wood decor, the low lighting throughout the establishment, and the accent lights at the bar are so pretty. There are many different types of seating - bar, high top tables, benches, regular tables, and a cute and comfy corner booth with throw pillows, which is where we opted to sit. Service was excellent. I was expecting to have to order at the bar, but Stingy Alley has table service. My husband ordered the espresso martini and I went with the Dubai chocolate martini. Both were outstanding - I could easily have tried a few more of the dessert cocktails, but alas we had a 40 minute drive home so that will have to wait for another visit. Will definitely come back to Stingy Alley - thanks for a lovely end to our night!

This review is a bit late (business is good for me) but better late than never for a STELLAR place!…read more RCKB (for short) had such an interesting menu, we literally took 10 minutes just to pick out our selections. Not because it is big, but so enticing! We ended up ordering the Eggplant Parm Sandwich, the chicken parm panini, the Mediterranean slate and a chicken parm with Rosemary fries! Our waitress Rachel was not used to NY humor (a few of my corny jokes fell off the boat, so to say) but she eventually realize that I was trying to lighten up our day. Kudos to her for staying straightface. She is an excellent waitress. LOL All of our meal selections were awesome. Those rosemary fries took me to the moon! Warren is a magnificent town. I understand wanting to do things differently - maybe offer some cool additional sauce options? But please - a lemon & some mignonette would be just fine.

Downright fantastic. Bywater is destination-worthy for anyone in New England…read more Cocktails to start are very meticulously and expertly crafted, and they have plenty of interesting wine offerings (including one of my personal favs in Martha Stewman). The space is quite intimate and lowly lit, but service was a little slow to start (although extremely friendly). I am a sucker for housemade pickles; I'll order that anywhere, and I was very pleased with Bywater's. You cant go wrong with any of their crudos, but the belle of the ball was the spicy crab pasta. My mouth is watering just thinking back about it. It was seasoned well, spicy, crunchy, and briny - divine.

Bywater, we will be back!…read more Warren, RI has some great restaurants and I was surprised since I don't frequent this area much. But after this past weekend, I know I want to come back. We were having a lovely dinner in Warren and stopped into Bywater for a quick after-dinner drink. It was a bit cooler out but since they had no seats in the extremely limited bar area, we took the plunge and sat outside near their fire pits. They did not have many wines to choose from BTG which was disappointing. The one I had which was Cinsault was just ok. I had to dump out most of it since I did not enjoy it but that was my fault since sampling it I thought I liked it. My friend had the bartender make her a cocktail with grapefruit since they did not have pineapple. She was looking for a French martini but seemed to enjoy what they made her. My husband's espresso martini was very good I thought and light but could've used some bailey's. We already had dessert so we did not plan on anything else but I know I am interested in returning for dinner. The restaurant is very small inside but I loved the warm lights and decor. It was a very sexy and attractive vibe! If you are ever in Warren I highly recommend coming here for either drinks, dinner, or both. Dress warm if you plan on heading outside to sit near the fire...it does not give off that much heat! Cheers!

You must visit Viola Cucina. This food is among the closest of Italian dinners - like I've grown up…read morewith - that we've ever enjoyed. The pasta e fagioli soup was delicious and tasted as it should. We savoured it. Our salad tasted garden fresh. I asked for a basic spaghetti with meatballs. Delicious. Their meatballs meet my approval. And that is saying a lot because usually no restaurant meatballs measure up. Except for the meatballs my Grandmother, Mother and I have cooked. This is why I'm tentative about eating Italian out since we grew up making it, ourselves. Everything we tried here falls under the "did not disappoint," category which is an A all around. Even the rustic dining style with sentimental interior home furnishings and decorations. All of it speaks to the heart. They are a warm bunch and will talk to those just passing through. When I'm traveling the Eastern seaboard, I will make it a point to dine at Viola Cucina.

Mostly Smoke and mirrors.... At first glance, their website…read morelooks impressive, their menu looks authentic, and their staff promised 'everything' made fresh and to order. But upon tasting their food, it was clear, 'Viola' is just another Americanized Italian restaurant. We started with an a la carte order of: 'House made focaccia, roasted garlic spread, evoo, craft butter' This was fresh and tasty. We then shared the 'Caesar: traditional romaine hearts, foccaccia croutons, shaved pecorino cheese. classic caesar dressing.' This lacked any flavour, the romaine was cut into too small pieces, there was no hint of garlic or anchovy in the dressing. But the most disappointing dishes were the pasta dishes: 'Fettucini bolognese, house made, beef, pork, veal ragu, pecorino, basil, calabrian Chili.' 'Scampi viola, squid ink linguini, shrimp garlic, white wine, julienned vegetables, preserved lemon butter.' Although the pastas were freshly made, their textures were compromised; both pasta dishes were not 'al dente'. In fact the Scampi viola was drenched in a dark gravy and greasy. This is just not a very skilled preparation of pasta. A fresh pasta needs very little sauce, and should be dressed very simply so the 'textures' can be enjoyed. I ordered the: 'Zuppa di vongole: fresh little neck clams, vino biqnco, fresh herbs, crostini.' But this dish was replaced by a fried calamari dish. This was well prepared, actually the only star of the evening. This restaurant may succeed on its 'blandness' but will never attract the discerning diner who wants and appreciates authentic Italian cuisine. ~tiaotse~

The service was terrific, with our waitress being very friendly and helpful. The beer selection was OK, nothing to write home about and a little unusual for a Pub. But the ones they did have were decent. Our food was fantastic. We had Scallops and Tuna with their secret sauce, which was outstanding. Definitely try their wedge fries.....very good and a lot of them. Not a huge coleslaw fan, but they have one that has a real nice kick to it. Try that as well. The only reason for 4 verses 5 stars was the list of things they didn't have on a Friday night. Things that you would assume are staples on their menu, were unavailable. Just kind of odd and not really sure what it means. And these items weren't anything we wanted, so no harm no foul. But still.... Try this place, you won't be disappointed.

Why isn't there a bartender on? Servers are taking orders and making their down drinks. STOP USING THE POURERS to measure alcohol! Not a good look when a customer watches your drink being made with those. Staff does not wear a uniform either.. zits just odd. And we wonder why the bar is always empty! I will say, There was a decent woman in her 40's working there for a few weeks on Saturday nights . She was wonderful!, and could actually make a drink! I haven't seen her in months. I can't lie, one evening we couldn't help but watch her try to pretty much jug the entire restaurant and make everyone's drinks because the other staff were clueless. One waitress was working with a surgical boot on her foot that went all the way up to her knee! Talk about a Liability! . I haven't seen that other server there in quite some time. I could only guess that she took her experience elsewhere. She was way too overqualified to be working in that establishment. She could handle that entire restaurant by herself. . Either that, or she ran out that restaurant door because she saw how the place was run! It's unfortunate because the food is delicious. But we just can't go there anymore. It's a nightmare.
