    1/2 lobster

Dune Brothers was a great find! We arrived late and the place was packed, but the staff was kind and let us know the wait would be about 15-20 minutes. Even though we sat close to closing time, the service was still attentive and friendly. The food was good, my lobster roll wasn't particularly memorable, but my husband had the half lobster and said it was amazing. The real standout, though, was the martinis, easily the best we've had on this trip. The place is beautiful, very smart designed to get the maximum out of the spaces

This is their second location that is a brick and mortar. I first tried their original location that is seasonal. This place is small but they do have outdoor seating. I ordered the fish and chips and skate. Fish of the day was fluke. Service was good our server kept checking in on us a few time. Fish was very moist. My only complaint is the thick layer of batter they have on, almost as think as the fish. The grilled skate was really good. It came with a buttery raisin sauce.

You've got to have seafood if you're in New England. I appreciate making clear chowder a choice as it is the local variety but I appreciated the honesty of the staff that there's a reason it isn't the most popular. The chowder was A+. The lobster was great but I was a little surprised that market price was $70. I also wish that it came with butter for dipping instead of cocktail sauce. There was some sort of congealed butter stuff in the base of the plate but it wasn't really dippable.

This place is very new because this location was where LiKeNoUdder use to be. Upon entering, everything was new, newly renovated and clean. We arrived right at opening! Staff was prompt and kind. She offered some of the specials and let us know what was and wasn't available. Keep in mind, they have some items available because they try to keep fish fresh and from the market place. They do replace some items depending on availability like for the fish and chips, or mussels for the calms dish. We were checked-in on frequently, and offered condiments, and more drinks. The steam mussels were the best part of our meal! The item on the menu is stated that little neck are used but instead, they were replaced by mussels. The soup was lemony with herbs and a side of bread that was delicious when dipped in the soup. We got some clam cakes because it's a New England special~ they were light and fluffy. Com cakes always are 90% bread and 10 or less % clam~ which is normal. They were the best clam bake because they taste light and savory. I also used them to dip in the mussel soup. I had fish and chips! The fish was a market place fish because there was no potluck version available. It was meatier and tasty. Tasted fresh and very warm. This was all in the pricy side~ but let me tell you I'd go back! We loved the mussels! Will try the regular time of clams next time around!

The new sit-down Dune Bros is awesome. Our group of 4 stopped by on a chilly January Friday and put our name down for an hour wait. (They will call you so you can stop by any of the local bars). We tried the crab special, snow crabs, the crudo, and fish special! Everything was delicious and super fresh. 10/10 recommend.

This longstanding Jewelry District trailer now has a brick-and-mortar storefront on Ives St. in the old Like No Udder location! I had no idea this was coming, but I was happy to see a new lunch option in Fox Point! They did an amazing job renovating -- it's a small space but very bright, warm, and comfortable. I can't believe they managed to squeeze a fish counter and indoor dining in here. There will be outdoor tables too but obviously that's not so relevant right now. The service was great! The menu is really impressive. It's the same spirit as their downtown location, but a little dressed up. Since I don't eat fish, I had a variety of sides and accoutrements. The salt and pepper fries are their huge crispy fries dressed up like calamari with hot peppers and scallions. I usually don't enjoy coleslaw, but the lemon and olive oil slaw was a fresh delight. The pickle plate was interesting but I could probably skip it next time. The portions are massive and I think anyone would be challenged to finish the fish and chips. Would definitely recommend this spot for anything from a casual lunch date to a celebratory dinner! Truly the only downside is the small space.

    Amazing fish and chips.

Had some very tasty local oysters that were delicious with that perfect salty brine. Their homemade Cocktail sauce was very tasty. I Followed the oysters with fish and chips made with pollock. Very fresh and delicious and the crust was amazing sprinkled with flaked salt. My waitress was very knowledgeable about the type of fish being served and the type of oysters. She also recommended a great white wine to serve with my dinner. The ambience is casual with a seafood market theme decor. Extremely clean and up to date. I will certainly bring my family and friends next time.

Go for the specials here, they are killer. I wasn't ready to spend $37 on a lobster roll (I bet it is delicious though, getting it next time) so we got a bunch of other stuff and were really impressed! Clam cakes and clear chowder hit the spot (they were out of white, cry). We had scallop&bean&razor clam special and chick pea salad special and ciopinno- mixed seafood stew special. They all were 10/10. No complaints on any of them. Fried fish sandwich was huge...but definitely needs that tasty tarter sauce. The panna cotta caught us by surprise - it was delicious and a great size portion too! Not a ton of seating, so glad we went early.

We walked to this location from Brown which was about 11 mins. It's a small location, there was no wait when we went around 5:30pm. Unfortunately they were out of lobster rolls. Food was tasty and fresh.

I ended up going alone this time, but I came back with enough leftovers and commentary to share that the whole experience could easily be pieced together in anyone's head pretty clearly. The first thing that stands out is the setup. It's casual in the best possible way. Nothing pretentious, nothing overworked. You walk up, order, wait a bit, and then suddenly you've got seafood in a paper tray that somehow tastes like summer even when you're wedged into a busy city block instead of sitting by the water. There's a kind of controlled chaos to it, especially during peak hours, but it moves. I went with the absolute classics without hesitation: a fried fish sandwich and a side of fries, plus a lobster roll that, frankly, looked like it was built for someone who doesn't believe in restraint. The fish sandwich was the standout. Crisp coating, flaky inside, not greasy in that heavy way that ruins a good fry. The bun held together without collapsing into mush, which is always a small victory in a city seafood spot. The fries were solid, nothing revolutionary, but they did their job without trying to steal attention from the main event. The lobster roll was more of a classic Rhode Island style than anything over-complicated. Generous chunks, lightly dressed, and not drowned in filler. It leaned into freshness rather than gimmicks, which is exactly what you want when you're this close to the water. It didn't feel like it was trying to reinvent anything, just execute the basics well enough that you stop thinking about it and just eat. What I like about places like this is that they don't overpromise. Dune Brothers isn't trying to be a white-tablecloth seafood restaurant, and it doesn't need to be. It's quick, it's reliable, and it feels like it belongs in downtown.

We decided on the Gift Horse and circled around a couple of times to find street parking (which is also free on Sundays). At the time that we went in, all spots were busy, but we were directed to their standing bar area where we could order a drink and hang out while something became available. Literally 2 minutes later, something freed up. I started with their Silver Spring cocktail ($15) which was very good - refreshing and slightly sweet. For food, we ordered a crudo plate ($18) with a side of sourdough bread ($6), followed by oysters ($18), then the lamb burger ($22), and lastly the crispy piri piti fish (MP - $40). The crudo plate was one of our favorites. We enjoyed all the cuts of fish it came with, but our favorite was the yellowfin tuna as it was firm and flavorful. The toppings of olive oil, capers, onions, etc. were the perfect touch. The sourdough was simply toasted and buttered but oh so good. They have a happy hour for oysters from 4-5 PM where they're only $2 instead of $3 but we missed the window by a little. There is a half dozen order minimum so we did two Quonnie, two Great Salt Pond, and two Wild Goose. That's the order in which we ranked them, from best to less best. The Quonnie were smaller, but they were flavorful and the Great Salt Pond were big and meaty. All were very fresh. There are three sauces to choose from, but we went with the GH Fermented Green Chili Hot Sauce. The RI Lamb Burger was incredibly good. It was advertised as a Bulgarian style burger so we asked about the difference between Bulgarian and I guess American and it came down to the spices used. We enjoyed how juicy and well-seasoned the meat was. I loved the contrast between sweet (pepper jelly and fried onions) and salty (feta). The bread seemed homemade; it was light and fluffy and had a healthy amount of sesame seeds. The crispy piri piri fish came out last and it was not what we were expecting. My friend didn't enjoy it as much, but I liked it. The fish was battered for a crispy finish and sat over a piri piri sauce with two rolls, mustard greens, and potatoes. The piri piri sauce was tasty, not too spicy, with a thicker consistency. The rolls seemed like they were made in house; they were slightly buttery and soft. The mustard greens were good. The potatoes were similar to home fries with onions. The staff was very helpful and explained the food after delivering it. Ambiance is good.

Only reason I'm giving 1 star still is because the waitress was very nice and what happens in the kitchen is not her fault! I think her name is (Katy?) I can't remember exactly but she was super nice! We got there for 11:30 reservation. Waited 15 minutes before we were seated which I didn't love already because there's no waiting area and nowhere to sit where the restaurant is so you have to stand around waiting for the table. Well by the time we left there I finally understood why we had to wait another 15 minutes after our reservation time to be seated. We ordered our food and drinks and got our drinks fairly quick but the food took way too long considering that it's breakfast items and they didn't have that many tables to begin with even including inside dining. Our pancakes took almost 40 minutes to come out and our sides never even came out with the pancakes which I thought was weird. The sides didn't come out for another almost 15 minutes. By the time everything was out my son was getting fussy so I just asked for everything to be packed up to go. The high chair was also dirty and oily with food still on the sides and not cleaned at all. I was talking to the family that sat next to us because the waiter who brought out their food messed up and brought their sides to another table dropped it off then found out the food was not at the right table and brought it straight to the right table after it's been sitting at the wrong table for a few minutes at that point! That family also said they waited a really long time for their food and their food didn't all come out at the same time either so it seems like this is normal. I also went to ask the hostess how much longer for our food before our pancakes came out few minutes later. She asked me how long it's been since I put in my order I said about 30 min already and she said oh that's sounds about right. So that just proves that food normally take this long to get out to the table! I'm used to way shorter wait times for breakfast foods this just didn't seem normal to me. Let's get to the food! I had the original pancakes with the blueberry and strawberry, got a side of scrambled eggs, sausages, and home fries. For drinks I got a fresh orange juice and my sister got the Dubai chocolate latte. The Dubai chocolate latte was delicious and so was the orange juice but definitely over priced for the portion size, but I guess it's acceptable being federal hill prices for most people? Personally I thought it was way overpriced not just the drinks but everything considering the proportions. The pancakes were ok didn't taste as eggy as I expected being that it's supposed to be more egg based which is totally fine the texture was good. The strawberries on top I thought were going to be fresh strawberries but it seems like it's more of a compote. The scrambled eggs were a little too charred for my liking I've never really had scrambled eggs charred before. Potatoes were ok for the most part in terms of flavor but my sister had some that were still kinda undercooked and hard. The sausages were really flavorful. Overall I don't think we'll be returning or recommend this place for the breakfast at least. Way overpriced and not worth the hype.

At their front patio, they had the World Cup game playing, but the back patio felt cozier so we opted for that. The inside though was a strong second since the lighting is very low, creating a cool and calm environment. Walking through the restaurant to get to our table made me realize that each table is unique, no two are decorated the same or have the same furniture. It was a hot day but the overhead mesh cover blocked out a lot of the sun. Our waitress made us feel very welcome from the start and told us about their drink and food specials. My friend ordered Guatemalan beer as well as a Spanish beer. For food, we ordered the plantain fries, octopus, calamari, and shrimp salad, and grilled lamp chops. The seafood salad came out first. According to the menu, it was going to be paired with cornbread. It looked like sourdough bread but had a far denser consistency. I was expecting the salad to have lots of shrimp to act as a filler but surprisingly, it was about 60% octopus, 25% calamari, 10% shrimp, and 5% onions. The seafood was very flavorful, tasted fresh, and cooked perfectly. The portion size was great for two. Next came the plantain fries, which I was least impressed with as it was essentially fried plantain chunks. I think it would have been better if they were cut into smaller pieces that can be easily dipped and consumed in one bite. The plantain was gently ripe, so just a little sweet and the dipping sauce was like a less sour sour cream. Lastly, the lamp chops came out and the presentation was wonderful. They were a bit skinnier and less tender than that I was expecting, but flavor wise they were good. We enjoyed the food, ambiance, and service here.
