If you're looking for seafood anytime of the year, pop down to the boardwalk. It's really good and if you're familiar with Iggys, you'll know this. The menu offers many of the same classics as it's takeout counterpart, but it also has other 'premium' options, too. We had Mahi Mahi and Swordfish, along with some chowder and little necks and it was all delicious. The restaurant itself was comfortable, clean, and the wait staff were great. If you're planning on getting swordfish (or a similar quality fish) expect to pay a premium price. Wonderful touch to Iggys. The boardwalk has a very different touch than the actual Iggys. But both right by the water , a nice view and seafood. The boardwalk for right now is an outdoor on the patio , in the back restaurant. And right behind where you are seated is a bar gazebo. Everything is outside, and the tables have umbrellas over them so the sun doesn't kill you. First and foremost the menu is nothing like Iggys , they have an actual seafood menu , and 5.00 appetizers doesn't get better than that. The food is great , I really enjoy it every time I go. And the drinks are great. It's a little difficult sitting outside because stuff likes to fly away, but the view is amazing! The staff is very friendly but they're always short staffed , making the wait a little longer than it should be when waited on. And there's about 12-15 tables outside , not including the bar so once it's full you have to wait. That's my only 2 negatives and as to why this place doesn't get 5 stars. We scouted out bar seats while waiting for our buzzer to go off. Finally two seats opened and a man asked us if he could take it because he'd given up his seats already since he was dining alone. He ended up buying us drinks to make up for it! Then a few minutes later 2 more opened up so we rushed over there. I ordered a Sunken Treasure! I couldn't taste any alcohol. I could only taste the Midori, so you won't get buzzed off of this! However, we looked young (but I'm inching 30), so I'm wondering if they made it virgin because he never asked to see an ID and I didn't see any Blue Curacao or taste any rum. So maybe that's why!! Look at my photo and you tell me! However, we sat in the bar area which in CA you typically can't sit there unless you're 21, but I don't know the laws of the land here. The bartenders were really nice and friendly though! And we didn't pay for the drinks so I didn't bother to ask. We ordered the Lobster Burger and asked for it to be cut in half to share. I've been a patron of Iggy's basically all of my life. I was unaware they had built an actual restaurant though so I was pleasantly surprised once I realized they have the take out building and now Iggy's Boardwalk. The staff were pleasant and attentive. the meal was fairly priced and the portions of meals were generous. I learned a few life hacks for my next trip (which I've shared below)and I'll definitely be visiting again. So a few life pro tips before you go. 1. Go early and don't bother making a reservation unless you have a party of 5 or more. also, make reservations in advance. they take the phone off the hook because it's insanely busy during the summer months. 2. be prepared to wait to be seated. during peek times it can take 45-60 mins to be seated. give the host a cell number instead of taking the buzz disc. the buzz disc only covers you until you reach Oakland beach. 3. invest in some insect repellent spray ahead of time. if you sit on the outdoor patio past sun set it's a round trip ticket to mosquito city. read more

This was my first visit to Iggy's Boardwalk after being a long time Iggy's clam cakes and chowder fan. We had a large party and it was a long wait. They had another large party that sat there finished just chatting for over half an hour after their tables were cleared. Hostess was too afraid to say anything to the table as it was a relative of someone who worked there. :/ Once we got seated service was great and the food was so good! Fresh calamari and awesome steamers were had for appetizers. Clean and perfectly cooked steamers. For dinner we had the baked seafood dinner. Literally the best baked scallops I have ever had. The stuffies here are always good and the chowder is the same that you would expect from Iggy's. This one goes to the top of our sit down restaurants list when visiting family in Warwick. read more

I have to say I was pretty impressed with the location and atmosphere. You have to sit on the patio for a true summer ambience. Love the view of the ocean with the swaying palm trees- right on point. The food portion was average. It's a step up from the takeout menu next door. Definitely somewhere to go if you are craving more than some clam cakes and chowder. I enjoyed the half shelled oysters and delicious clam chowder. My sons burger was burnt to a crisp- true hockey puck. Even so I will be back. read more

Friendly bartender, very good sangria. Had a bit of a wait so took my drink to the outside area and looked at the beautiful view of the bay. This past Sunday afternoon at 3:30p a friend and I went to Iggys Boardwalk for an early dinner. My friend ordered the hot lobster roll complete with fries and chowder. This was priced at $28. I ordered the fried clam dinner with 2 sides and chowder for $26.. Our waiter was a nice young man who attended to our requests except when we both told him that the lobster and clams were tough to eat. He expressed that he was sorry about our food but that is how they are coming. Is this what wait staff is told to be the explanation to customers for meals that are not satisfactory? If we were willing to pay this amount when we arrived for our chosen meal then I think we were expecting to get a tasteful, satisfying meal. Ivy's is exactly what you would expect, a Rhode Island icon. Food wise 3.5 stars. The fish and chips was average. The white chowder was what I grew up on, not too clammy and lots of potatoes. I think what's most impressive is considering most of their menu is fried I didn't feel like their fryers ever dropped temperature. The clam cakes weren't greasy, the doughy boys were light (and also my favorite part of the meal). I don't think I would make the drive to wait in the line for food, but with a little one eating outside very casually with a playground right there was a huge plus! I also had clam cakes that were less than great. They don't have much of a clam flavor. So, I always leave Jed their food until the last two years. The quality has gone down hill. We found this little gem a few years ago and love coming to this perfect summertime spot. Of course it get's busy which is what every business is open for. It's ambiance can't be beat in the area and the service is unparalleled for the price point. My 2 young children love coming here as the food is good and they get to play down by the fire in the sand after dinner while my wife and I relax with a couple of drinks. Again, been coming here for years and normally I simply give large tips for great service but this time the service was so exceptional that I had to give a review. RICKY D was absolutely spectacular as a server. He was extremely attentive not only to us but every table he had. He was fully on top of his game in every aspect of the experience, from introducing himself to us by name, to the specials, offering suggestions, refilling waters almost the moment they were low, joking with the kids, apologizing when 1 round of drinks took "too long" and it wasn't even long (it was a Saturday night), cleaning the table, literally everything! As I said, usually I simply just leave a large tip. In this case I followed my normal and we left the table and went down to the firepit area. He sought us out after just to thank us for the exceptional tip! Few little things I want to note about this place in general..... 1. It's not only on the beach, it's the ONLY spot on the beach right there. As patrons we should expect it to be busy. It's obvious to me that they do everything they can to accommodate the level of business. Every business in the world is looking for help and this is no different. Finding good help at this level is not easy just like it isn't easy in any other business. 2. Due to the footprint of the location and the volume of business wait times can grow to 1 1/2 hours in same cases. That's NORMAL however they do everything they can to estimate accurately and use your cell for communication with you when your table is ready. That being said, plan ahead.....if your going when you know is going to be a busy time (5-7pm) then plan to get there, check in, and then you can go for a walk on the beach, get a few drinks at the bar, kids playground, etc. You don't have to sit there waiting for a table. 3. The owner is not an absentee owner. He's 100% engaged at his business, constantly walking around, checking with the patrons, and supporting his staff. 4. The staff does their very best day in and day out there. I have literally never had a poor experience there and have been going on weekend nights for probably 3 years. My husband is a huge Iggy's fan, I'm not so much, especially now. A group of us met at 4:00 for an early dinner. Food was good, service very good. However, when arriving I was shocked to see the closest lot was now valet parking. There were two other cars in lot, so I said to the two young men, "You have to be kidding? You're going to move my car 10 feet? " But I got out and he parked my car. When arriving at the lot after dinner, I asked if he had change for a ten and he said, "I guess." He proceeded to give me $5 change! I said I don't pay $5 on Federal Hill or downtown Providence for a tip for complimentary parking. He then moved my car to the opposite end of the parking lot, so I had to walk through the whole lot because the cars were parked so closely. Not sure how in any way it's complimentary parking when you have to haggle and then your car is parked far away! Not good David, not good at all. read more

Today was probably my first and last experience at this Restaurant. Never even had a chance to sit down and try the food when one of the owners offered the WORST customer service experiences any one could offer! We were a party of 6 and had a 1 hour wait which we totally understood based on the Fathers Day holiday. However as we waited behind the bar we decided to order some appetizers since we had such a long wait, Mind you when we walked in we saw other people with food behind the bar eating so we assumed it wouldn't be a problem. Now when the food arrived one of the plates were being handed back to me and she snapped at us saying WE COULD NOT do that (eat on the ledge behind the bar). She then went behind the bar to tell the staff why were they letting us do that? In her most condescending voice possible. I don't know if it was because we were minorities that she felt the need to address us the way she did but It could of been handled in many other ways and we would of understood. So it was Fathers Day and of course my fiancé wanted to go golfing and he chose Harbor Lights golf course. We're from Connecticut but on the border of Rhode Island but still don't go there as much. After he was done he said he would love if we went to dinner for Father's Day with our daughter and my mom. I searched for places in the area of the golf course, was looking for something sort of near the water and that's when I found Iggy's ! Had great reviews so I called and booked a reservation ! Did not realize they have a few other locations out but booked for the sit down restaurant I believe the lobster & clam bar. We were running a little late but called to let them know and said that it was fine. When we arrived, the place was PACKED! Which is definitely a great sign. Every staff member we encountered were so nice and helpful! Our server Zach was amazing and so accommodating! He was knowledgeable and was just so friendly! My mom is a super critic ( she always has something to say about something which sometimes gets embarrassing ) haha but she could not say enough how good the food was and service and atmosphere! She absolutely loved it and we had the best time! My 13 month old had her first milkshake and LOVED it! Hahah Thank you for the great experience! Nice place with a medium size bar and a good view of the bay. Sat at the bar for drinks and dinner at approximately 17:30 hrs, 4-22-23. The place was busy. The bartenders and staff paid attention, were on the ball and hustling. Although it's a bit pricey the food is good if not great. About halfway through our meal a couple walked in with (1) medium size dog and (1) large dog. Not sure why they were allowed into a place that serves food. They were not blind and the dogs were not identified as service animals. And they smelled. I am not accustomed to dining with animals, nor do I want to, so it made enjoying my tasty $35 scallops quite annoying. Except for the animals, we enjoyed Iggy's Boardwalk and will return. read more

I have always been a fan of Iggy's Boardwalk. It has a great atmosphere and great views. Last night however we went for a last-minute dinner. I was very disappointed in the portion size in relation to the hugely inflated prices. I understand that everything has gone up but I left there feeling like I had been robbed. My daughter's $34 swordfish was maybe 4 oz and a big chunk of it was dark. My husband ordered a porterhouse steak special that was $58 and he got a spoonful of mashed potatoes and 20 cold french fried for his sides. My mom ordered the schrod which was lack luster at best. The waiter was very attentive and nice but I was so disappointed in the food after spending $250 with tip for 4 people. I wanted to update my review to give kudos to the amazing staff. Went to lunch the other day and there were a lot of elderly dinners dinning alone. I watched the waitresses go out of their way to spend time with the dinners, which created an atmosphere where the solo dinners began interacting with each other. The buffalo calamari was really good, not crispy though but obviously due to the buffalo sauce. The lobster rolls were so good!! They also don't skimp out on the lobster!
