    Swordfish chop
    Arthur S.

Divine is a great little restaurant because of the food, service, and ambiance. It is affiliated with Fresco, but obviously a different chef. The drinks are always good and the bartenders are great, making it a great little spot for date night. I finally got to try the swordfish chop and it was able to live up to the hype. They only had one left for the night when I ordered it around 6:30. It was cooked perfectly, making it tender and moist and finished to perfection with a garlic, butter, herb sauce. I will definitely go back when I'm in the area, I found the prices to be better than dining at the other locations and the food is just as delicious.

Chicken piccata with red mash and veg

DiVine Italian Bistro is a small Italian restaurant in Warwick, RI. We had reservations, and were seated right on time. Anthony rocked the entire dining room of about 10 tables. There is also a large bar area with hi-top tables, which was also very busy. We started with calamari with marinara sauce. The calamari were tender, but they were super crunchy and tasted over done. The bread tonight tasted stale. Thank goodness for sauce and dipping oil! I had chicken piccata, which came, I wish I realized, with red mash potatoes and vegetables - tonight was 2 pieces of grilled yellow squash and a grilled piece of red pepper. The.chicken and potatoes were delicious; the veg just had no flavor. Personally, I wish I knew it came with the veg. I assumed it would be pasta, which I would have preferred. I would have substituted. My husband was a bit disappointed with his rigatoni bolognese. He says the sauce was very good, but the lack of meat was disappointing. He did clean his plate, but has had better Bolognese sauce at other establishments. I had a drink called the lava lamp. It was limoncello, with peach and strawberry puree. It was sweet, and tasty, but I could hardly taste the limoncello. We came here on this snowy, cold night because the last time we were here it was so delicious!! That was in the summer. We were disappointed tonight, but will not hold one night against DiVine! We'll come back, but in the summer; it was very cold in the restaurant tonight. If you go in the winter, dress warm!!!

The calamari was awful. Sauce was supposed to be marinara...more like salsa. Veal parm was no better. Never returning

Food is good. I've tried the chicken parm, pink vodka sauce, and grilled pizzas. A bit pricey for the portion sizes.

Clam cakes were tasty, freshly fried, with lovely crisp skin but not much clam. Asked the nice counter lady to recommend the version of doughboy to try and she suggested original or cinnamon sugar. Selected cinnamon sugar on the side. The original, quite fluffy, was somewhat bland tasting. Dusting with cinnamon sugar elevated both texture and taste. The doughs were light with a beautiful golden brown glow. Rhode Island clear chowder (extra broth) was okay but could be better.

In my opinion, no trip to Oakland Beach is complete without stopping at Iggy's Doughboys & Chowder…read moreHouse. It's become a tradition for us. We usually have dinner next door at the restaurant, and before heading home we walk over to Iggy's to grab a box of fresh doughboys to take with us. Somehow there's always room for doughboys. One of the things I appreciate most is the consistency. It doesn't seem to matter how busy they are, the doughboys are almost always fresh out of the fryer. They're light, golden brown, and cooked just right. I've never had one that was burnt, greasy, or raw in the middle. They strike a nice balance between having a crisp exterior and a soft, fluffy center, and they're generously dusted with enough sugar to satisfy a sweet tooth without making a complete mess. The menu has plenty of classic Rhode Island favorites if you're looking for chowder, clam cakes, or other seafood, but for us it's always about the doughboys. They've become part of the ritual whenever we're at Oakland Beach, and it's one tradition we don't plan on changing anytime soon. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is because this place is incredibly popular, especially during the warmer months. Depending on when you go, you may find yourself standing in line for a while. That's not necessarily a knock on the business because a busy restaurant usually says something about its reputation, but it's worth knowing if you're in a hurry. The prices are fair, the staff keeps the line moving as efficiently as they can, and the quality has remained remarkably consistent over the years. That's becoming increasingly rare. If you're spending the day at Oakland Beach and leave without stopping at Iggy's for doughboys, I think you're missing out on one of the area's best traditions. We'll definitely keep coming back.

Started out with a few cups of chowder. It was delicious but way too many potatoes in my opinion. For my main lunch I got the lobster casserole. I was a little nervous at $38 but it was one of the best meals I've had in a while. The lobster was cooked perfectly, not too much breading, absolutely delicious. And it came with two sides. Also got a Caprese salad which was fantastic. Can't wait to return!

Let me just say that I was super impressed by the service and food at the Boardwalk Restaurant. Our party of 16 had a reservation and was seated immediately. Although the seating was a little tight, we were happy that they had made the effort to accommodate our large group. Our server was Marissa, and she was absolutely phenomenal! Marissa gave us just the right amount of attention, and was very prompt with getting water and bread on the table. She was super polite and patient with our mixed age party, and she made sure to note all of the special details in everyone's orders. Between the 16 of us, there were many cups of chowder and clamcakes ordered, as well as some baked fish, clams over linguini, fish & chips, potato skins, and a burger with fries. I only heard great comments on the food from everyone, and my potato skins, clamcakes, and Boardwalk Lemonade cocktail were all perfectly cooked, serverd, hot, and were delicious. Marissa was also super efficient with the check and everything on it was correct, which is no small feat when you have a party of 16. I would definitely ask to be in her section again the next time I go to Iggy's .

It was a slightly weird time because the restaurant had decided to shut down due to noise complaints over the weekend & then had someone try to start a fire on Monday morning. We do not know if those two incidents were related but we were assured that it was business as usual. You need to make a reservation to get the 2 for $27 lobster special (if you don't, then it is market pricing). We were there on the early side which was a good thing because seating outside was just not possible in the rain deluge that evening. Inside, the restaurant only has maybe 25 seats with a tiny bar. The staff greeted us enthusiastically & directed us to a little table by the bar. All the other tables were already blocked for reservations. We opted to start with a half order of clam strips. Hubby is a big fan of fried clam bellies. These were okay, definitely strip with a little chew. The tartar sauce was great. The lobsters were advertised as 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 pounds & that they were. The plate was served with a piece of corn, green beans & a little cup of drawn butter. Everything was great but the green beans were outstanding! So, for the approximate price of purchasing lobsters at the grocery store, you get the full lobster experience, delicious sides, nice people & waterfront ambiance (weather permitting). Hubby is already planning a return trip! NOM NOM NOM #YUM

Now to the Negatives: The food was bad and not hot. I was really hoping that a location on the water would have good seafood. They do not (although I did not try the lobster). The draft beer was not cold enough. I really hope this place succeeds. Live music near the water is pretty awesome but there is so much room for improvement with the food.

Clam strips which were pretty decent. A one and a half pound lobster that was absolutely superb and a liver and onion entree which looked and smelled disgusting but was enjoyed by the person actually consuming it.
