Iggy's Boardwalk - View from the high top tables in the bar area. - Seafood Near Me - Warwick, Rhode Island

Went here some time ago and realized I needed to just say a couple things about this so called Rhode Island hot spot. I didn't cone here for traditional clam cakes and chowder..that's not my thing, but lobster is!!!! I was so excited to get the lobster roll, but I opted to get it on salad instead..it sucked. Lobster was almost shaven, in small bits with too much gross mayo and no spices over awful lettuce and onions. .ugh. sorry Iggys I will not be back and I waited 30 mins for that:( read more

Fantastic meal with my family everything was excellent all meals were perfect with excellent service. Fresh seafood and great chowder. I highly recommend it as it has large portions and reasonably priced. You won't go wrong enjoy! read more

Ordered linguine with clams for $22. Had hardly any pasta and very light on the clams. The side salad had brown lettuce. Considering the main component is pasta and a pound of pasta costs around $1 I don't think it is too much to ask for a reasonable portion. I don't mind paying but I expect not to still be hungry after eating. I gave two stars since the flavor was decent. read more

Amazing muscles today they were so good. And my waitress very nice answered all our questions very attentive. Sitting there looking out to sea very relaxing. Will go again soon! read more

I loved coming here. I had been to the take out spot. But not the Boardwalk. First time. I had such a craving for unshelled lobster and champagne. I didn't want to travel far. Iggy's Boardwalk came up on yelp. Great reviews. Local food. Nicely decorated place They unshell the whole lobster upon request. Because that's what I wanted .And when you order a bottle of champagne you get a complimentary dozen oysters! Kyla was our server. She was outstanding. Pleasant. Professional. Accomadating. Can't wait for the patio and tiki bar to open sometime late March. That will be so awesome to try and to hang out drinking Pina coladas and eating local fresh seafood. Thanks Iggy's!! read more

Great seafood at reasonable prices. Brings back memories for me of growing up on the Narragansett Bay and the amazing seafood I grew up on!

Great seafood shack right on the beach. Line can get long so plan accordingly or you'll end up like this poor dad I witnessed... Mom: the line is very long Dad (carrying a baby with 2 children wrapped around legs: what would you like me to do hun? Mom: obviously go get in line Mark!! read more

I dined here today on 2/17/21 and had good raw bar and awesome service from our server Andy. Upon leaving the restaurant, my partner noticed that no one in the kitchen was wearing a mask. He asked person at the host stand why the staff were not wearing masks and he said, "if they're in the back and underneath hood vents they are not required to wear masks. I don't know I've only been here for 3 months." After leaving the restaurant my partner called the restaurant and asked to speak to a manager. He was then put on the phone with the same person who he spoke to at the restaurant originally, now claiming to be a manager. The manager said that he had just spoken to the owner and that "someone from the health department" had told them that kitchen staff didn't need to wear masks if under hood vents. Myself and my partner both work in kitchens at restaurants so we know that this isn't true and is complete BS. We immediately called the health department's COVID line and the health department confirmed that it goes against their COVID guidelines. I'm honestly disappointed that in a time like this, this company is putting both their employees and their customers at risk. read more

My husband and 1 1/2 year old daughter came here on a Saturday evening for dinner. The restaurant decor is beautiful and I said to my husband through the meal that I feel like we're in a Newport restaurant without the overpriced seafood or long drive. We both had the white clam chowder, he had fish and chips and I had the scallops. All were delicious, even our daughters chicken fingers and sweet potato fries! The scallops honestly were incredible with ritz crackers and butter lemon sauce. I can't wait to come back, and appreciate it being so family-friendly. read more

Iggy's is a wonderful place to satisfy a craving for clam cakes and chowder, but it also offers many other dishes. Their doughboys made them famous and their clam shack sealed their presence in the hearts of Rhode Islanders. Nonetheless, they continue to expand with a full restaurant, bar, and creamery. I highly recommend Iggy's Boardwalk as a more relaxed dine-in alternative to the bustle of the clam shack that both serve the same fantastic seafood. read more

Redeemed themselves. Clearly wanted to sit outside and they graciously made room for us. Thanks Iggys!

Never met ruder bartenders than at this gazebo bar. They act like theyre annoyed you're there & are so disrespectful...2 stars for the pretty view... other than that so sub par. Zero stars for the cm shots & mules served in plastic cups. Never again read more

Went last weekend and the service was great... today(also a Saturday) not so much. The bartenders outside never acknowledged us but did the people that sat right next to us so after enough time we said let's sit at the inside bar. While the bartender(Eric) was fast setting us up with drinks it soon became like outside almost as if we were doing them a favor by being there. We ordered our food and that was the last time we were ever spoken to. No how's your food, need anything else...nothing. My husband had an empty beer bottle on the bar and was never Asked if he wanted another. So you know what? Instead of having a few more drinks we paid the tab. Oh and I should mention that the bartender took my credit card without even asking how our meal was or if we wanted anything else. So disappointing. If you don't want to work sit at home and collect Biden bucks like everyone else. If you are actually working make it seem as if you care about the service you provide. read more

We recently had lunch there on a rainy Friday in late May. To start with, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. We had margaritas which were very good. and an order of six clam cakes. The cakes were fresh and sizzling hot, right out of the fryer. Mom had the lobster roll. I had the baked stuffed shrimp and my sister had the baked seafood platter. We were offered chowder or a salad as a starter. They opted for the white chowder which they loved. I had a tossed salad. It was fresh and full of all the nice things one expects in a salad. Our meals were very good. The seafood platter was crazy full of stuff. Scallops with lobster claws, two baked stuffed shrimp, a stuffed quahog, some scrod and two sides. I'm probably forgetting something as there was a lot to the platter. Mom's lobster roll was delicious and my shrimp were very good. Honestly my only complaint, and in fairness I did email the restaurant prior to this post but never received a response, was our choice of dessert. For a place that is known for doughboys since it was Mrs. Gus's, they fell short sadly. We ordered the mini doughboy basket. It came out literally two minutes after we ordered it which told us right there that they had been made already. They had nice sauces to dip in with a selection of warm hot fudge, warm caramel/butterscotch, and some sort of cinnamon butter I think. The doughboys were luke warm at best and not at all up to Iggys standards in my humble opinion. Would it stop me from returning? Heck no! I am planning to return and enjoy a lovely meal on the outdoor sitting area very soon. I'll just go next door to the "shack" for my fix of doughboys. read more

Iggy's Boardwalk - Seafood Near Me - Warwick, Rhode Island

2 stars because 3 stars = "A-OK". I give it 5 stars for the décor both inside and outside by the newly build Tiki style bar. The sand picnic table area and the shrubbery and perennial plantings. I have been going there for decades, Oakland Beach that is. Iggy's boardwalk is now in it's second season. Replacing Marley's and a host of other short lived bars. My fav was Kahuna's. The owner really knew how to cook and treat his customers well. Anyway, yesterday I took my GF there. First time this season. Very crowded. We sat outside at the bar. The bartenders were very busy but fairly attentive for the amount of people they were serving. 3 bartenders may have been better than 2 but what do I know. After a short time we placed a food order. My GF ordered a cup of chowder and 3 cakes. Small cup and 3 crispy cakes. The cakes were non greasy. So, they keep the fry-o-lator clean. I ordered the large garden salad with added grilled chicken. $6 + $4. We waited 45 minutes (no exaggeration) after placing the order. I think someone forgot as others were being served around us who arrived and ordered after us. And much more complex dinners. I did notice a lot of wait staff running back and forth to the kitchen while carrying out single items for tables. Like there was a food prep kitchen issue forcing wait staff to waste a lot of time just running around. The added chicken to the salad would have been a reasonable price if the chicken were a bit larger. Got between 2 and 3 ounces, maybe. Standard serving size is 4 ounces. I choose the salad because the couple next to us had ordered a large garden salad and split it. It looked really good. A full deep plate of a mixture of fresh veggies, iceburg and romaine. Actually an overflowing plate. Mine? Well, to say it was less than generous would be an understatement. There were much fewer veggies, no romaine and the small amount of iceberg looked like something I would find in my crisper drawer and toss in the compost pile. Did I send it back? Nope. I worked in kitchens as a teen. Some of those kitchen folk take a sendback to heart and do weird things to the "new" order. So, they have a problem with consistency. Not good in the restaurant business. I will say that other food served around me looked pretty good. But mine was really p***-poor. I blame the kitchen staff, the food runner and the bartender. All 3 had a chance to look at the salad and send it back. None of them did. And I blame the owner for not instilling this in his staff. So, I will go back because of the uniqueness of Oakland Beach. Will I order the garden salad again? Maybe. But if it looked only half as bad as yesterday's Back it goes and I won't ask for a new one. Oh yeah, asked for the check. Got 2 slips. One for me, one to sign. But they were both total checks. I had to ask for the detailed slip. People do make mistakes and I always check the details. The detailed check should always be standard. One more thing for management to consider. When there is dirt present in obvious areas, people wonder about the kitchen. The outside bar is clean, at face value. But look up and around at the roof and supports. Last year's dirt is still there. Mr. Taffer? read more

This new restaurant is delicious! Iggy's definitely takes it to a new level! I've been here twice so far and certainly enjoyed all meals! The restaurant is really nice compared to what is used to be. I feel that you certainly get a lot for your money! The meals are very reasonably priced and you get salad or soup, your meal with a starch and vegetable. I got the baked scrod and thought it was delicious! I've also had the special of scrod with lobster bisque over it which was really good. My friend got the fish and chips and certainly enjoyed her meal with fries, coleslaw and choice of soup or salad. My boyfriend and friends love the baked seafood platter too! Also, if you get a side of pasta it almost feels like an extra meal as well! Another friend did clam chowder combo which comes with 3 clam cakes - perfect for just a tasting of Iggy's most well known dish! For seafood, I definitely think it is the top in the area! Service is very good and they are attentive. They also have a decent selection of beer. Also, their outside area is very nice with plenty of areas to hangout with a drink with a great view! They have definitely made amazing changes compared to what Marley's used to be. Weekdays are great to come here. I came here on Saturday around 5:30pm and there was still a 45 minute wait but you can always wander or grab a drink at the bar. We ended up also being seated within 30 minutes too! If you love seafood, definitely give this place a try with a nice view of Oakland Beach! read more

Was able to get a seat at the bar on a busy Friday night. The decor is beautiful. Unfortunately the outside was already shut down so I didn't get to check it out. Our bartender was extremely nice. We ended up getting calamari (my obsession) so I like to try it wherever I go. I'm so glad I did because it was amazing. We also got the stuffed mushrooms but they had zero flavor. I will definitely be back for more calamari & a meal. read more

Came here before the outside opened up so it was pretty busy inside. Sat at the bar and the beer prices were average. Got some fried calamari that seemed like they didn't crisp it up enough as some parts were pretty doughy. I would have said something about it but I was ravenous so I ate it all very quickly. In addition we had some oysters which were good and a bowl of clam chowder which was ok. read more

It was a cool cloudy August day. Not what you wanted for a day off as Summer was coming to an end. My wife and I decided to drive the 101 miles from our home to the new Iggys, Parking was easy in their new lot. We walked in and went to the Gazebo bar on the water. We received a friendly greeting from the bar staff and took the only two seats available. Within seconds we found out everyone there was enjoying their visit, food and drinks, We had some littlenecks, Cold, fresh and great cocktail sauce. Next we had some steamers. Again very fresh with real butter, the were great. Next we had clam cakes and chowder. Again we were very happy. I happened to go back into the main building and each time a member of the staff, including a girl carrying a tray, held the door for me. The final course was a fried clam dinner that we split. It also was great. The bartender Nick, a high school teacher was great. The other bartender, Danielle was also great. I would have wished it was a Sunny warm day but even with the clouds everyone there was enjoying themselves.. Great drinks, great food, great service and great atmosphere. read more

Had a lovely lunch today at the bar. Steamers and calamari great. However, the fish tacos were horrendous. The fish appeared almost undercooked with absolutely no seasoning. There was just a soft tortilla, shredded cheese, and lettuce with a piece of white fish. It was the most underwhelming thing I've ever seen offered at this restaurant and quite disappointing as it was 16 or $17. We left 2 Tacos behind. read more

Very disappointed with this restaurant. Walked Ina be asked the bartender if dogs could sit down by the sanded beach area and were told yes. Then a sever comes out and says no dogs allowed... We went on a Monday night. The place appeared mostly empty. However, the hostess told us we would need to put our name in for a table. Seems pretty straight forward.....not so much. The hostess was either stressed or just not polite or friendly. Regardless, the whole thing seemed too disorganized for us so we left. We went next door to the take out Iggy's. It was okay as usual. We'll stick to that place. The Boardwalk just seemed like to much of a hassle and too much money. read more

We went to Narragansett after the rain we had and decided to get clam cakes and red chowder. If it weren't for the chowder I wouldn't go back for the clam cakes. We ordered 1dz. After eating 7, not one clam. I tore apart the remains ones and still none. To get some flavor I dunked them in my chowder. Maybe it's the begin of the season and new workers to train, but that should not have mattered in the recipe. read more

.Thank you Iggy's. You have lived up to the Yelp reviews and all of the hype about R.I. seafood. We are new residents to this Ocean state and thrilled with the variety and quality of the seafood that we found here. From delicious drinks (bloody Mary's with bacon!), area outside and around the restaurant, to the super polite and attentive staff in the restaurant. AND to top that off, it was affordable. We ordered appetizers from the raw bar - little neck clams. They were briny and cold, and one pound of sweet steamers. They were served piping hot with the delicious broth and drawn butter, do not miss these. I had a small salad (nice and cold and included black olives), a bowl of the chowder (white) and clam cakes (really fritters) combo. The cakes were a bit light on clam pieces but not flavor and they were made with bacon. The chowder was delicious as well, it had plenty of clams but could have had fewer potatoes. My husband had the fish and chips and sang it's praised with every bite. We are adding this place to our regular rotation because they are open year round. Add this one to your list of seafood restaurants, you will not be disappointed. read more

Visiting RI with my wife for the weekend. Came to Iggy's after reading some decent reviews on Yelp and recommendations from travel sites like Viator mostly for chowder. Ordered large clam strips, 2 bowls of NE clam chowder, 2 stuffed clams and some kind of fried ball of dough (supposed to have clam chunks inside). 100% dissatisfaction. Fried clam was huge and all bread. Clam strips looked like the real thing but were magically all bread. Fried balls of dough were devoid of any clam chunks, specs, or even clam taste so again all bread. The clam chowder had a great taste to it but was filled with potatoes. Look at my profile and you will see I often give great reviews. My wife and I were genuinely disappointed with this place. Service was good. Place was clean. Food was hot. Food came out on time hence the 2 stars. 30$ down the drain. Thank God we had a place like Tallulah's Taqueria in Providence for a dinner redo. Sorry Iggy's. read more

We went the night before last and we really liked it. Wife had fish (scrod with white sauce) and I had veal parm. This is a winter weeknight, so we had the place to ourselves.
