We've been using Ideal for multiple years now and will continue to recommend them to anyone needing these types of services. They've maintained our current unit well and have helped us to understand what it needs to keep going for many more years rather than treating it as disposable or pushing us to replace it. They did a big attic insulation project for us a few years ago that has completely changed our comfort in our 1950s home, 1000% worth it. They gave us lots of good advice and options for that project including correcting related/unrelated deficiencies from the prior installers. We've continued wth their plan for maintenance which has definitely been a good value for us. Matthew came out for our regular unit check this month and noted several issues that we didn't expect, but was able to address them same day very fairly, honestly, transparently. I appreciate his clear explanations of the deficiencies and the work done (with pictures!) so I don't have to get up on the roof too. Our A/C units are 29 years old and are starting to go out. As a result I inquired with a few HVAC companies to get quotes on a replacement of two units. Alex (owner) was incredible to work with. He came out to our property and did a full evaluation. He caught things that no one else did. One thing that stood out to me was his transparency and honesty around the setup of our systems. We have old suction lines and liquid lines that are not compatible with the new Trane units. He has a solution for that but he was the only one that mentioned this. Some of the other installers that I inquired from also quoted us on the exact same Trane unit and failed to bring this up. In fact, the other companies were going to install a Trane unit on old lines, which would cause early compressor failure and voided the warranty through Trane due to the units being installed on the wrong sized lines in the first place (verified this with Trane). Alex was patient with me through all of my questions, provided examples of what it would look like to replace the lines, and was amazing to work with. Even though we ended up going with a company that made units compatible with our old lines, I am forever grateful to Alex and Ideal Air Conditioning for saving us from dumping a bunch of money to potentially have a premature failure down the road. If replacing the lines was not mandatory, we would have chosen Ideal Air Conditioning in a heartbeat. We plan to use them in the future for all of our HVAC maintenance! read more

My husband and I first heard of Ideal A/C & Installation at the Phoenix Home Show in January when we stopped by their booth. We recently purchased a home in Phoenix and were aware that we should have our A/C units serviced in the winter. We had a good feeling from our chat with them, and booked a maintenance call. Matt serviced our A/C units and showed us the condition things were in. As new homeowners, we were unaware of how good or bad the units were, and Matt helped us see we could be running them more efficiently and safely if he made some repairs after servicing. I had a great experience with this air conditioning company. My AC went out and it was extremely hot inside my house, being the middle of June in Arizona. I was able to get a technician named Robert out to my house the next day, and he was very knowledgeable and helpful. It turned out that my unit was not able to be repaired, so I was able to quickly get financing to buy a new unit. They came out the very next day to install it. I made it very clear to them that the home was a rental and I was going to pay for the inspection of the duct work. Went back and forth starting on Friday. I was told someone from the correct team would be reaching out to me as I did provide my email address and phone number. How do they respond on Tuesday, Yelp and not the email address I provided. I am not asking them or any of the other businesses that responded to do any work. Simply inspect and provide photos. The realtor agreed to this. Based on the whole experience, this company does not understand communication and comprehension of that communication. I declined other businesses based on the initial interaction with them. A decision I am now regretting. If a business can't get the steps correct from the start, what can they get correct? First impressions need to be followed up with consistency. No phone call or email though they requested the information. I did not trust the reviews given as one never should. Live and learn. I won't use yelp again for assistance as they offered a bunch of no name businesses looking for business. The responses were all AI responses and the reviews are people that are friends, relatives and so on. Maybe a few true reviews but you have to go by instinct. Update - I would not use this company. One of the "owners" called me and tried to convince me of the why's and what nots that took place. Said she would call me back after taking her dog to the vet. If you look at my social media, I am all about the animals. Several hours later, no call and to find Elena has no HVACR experience. I was played the fool but not moving forward. I've been an Ideal Energy customer since 2018. They upgraded the ductwork and attic insulation after I first moved into my house and have been my go-to for HVAC service ever since. I have the service plan so they come to check on the system twice a year. Last night before going to bed I noticed I was much warmer than usual. Turns out the mid-tier unit that came with the house was malfunctioning. I texted the team before going to bed at 10:30pm and had a text waiting for me when I woke up at 5:56am. Matthew and Robert (in training) were at my house by 7:15 this morning. Matthew and Robert had it diagnosed after observation and several questions from me. After getting their recommendation, I authorized them moving forward to fix the problem. They pulled away at 8:53am while my family and I basked in the sweet, cool joy of a functioning AC unit. The initial experience was outstanding! I had searched long and hard for a solution to my upstairs office as it was getting so hot. Ideal Air came out and gave me a quote for a mini-split AC unit. We discussed pricing and they were able to come out quickly to do the work. While they were there, they found a way to reduce the cost of the work. The work was completed, and then they asked for payment. Weeks went by with no contact and then one day they reached out requesting more money. It was never explained that everything wasn't paid in full when they came out and did the work and were now asking for $800 more. It wasn't so much that they were asking for more money (which once it was broken down, it made sense), it was their attitude and how quick they were to sending to me collections. They claimed they phoned me but I never received any calls. I told them I didn't believe I owed more money and then one day I received a notice of cancellations. It also was sent with a notice to reply by a specific date that already passed so essentially they sent me a notice to pay by a date that had already passed. I liked them at first, but wouldn't wish this company on anyone now. Side note. The crew that came out and did the work were great guys! Office admin TERRIBLE. Buyer Beware. read more

Shoddy workmanship and absolutely does not stand behind their work. Never honored the maintenance commitments of my purchase. Refused to address issues related to the poor quality installation which is falling apart after less than 3 years. Never accepted responsibility for installation issues from the start but instead blamed the customer. Characterized me as difficult for expecting professional installation and honoring the purchase contract. A $18,000 contract! And the gaslighting/DISRESPECT. Not sure how this company has such high reviews. Unfortunately our 16 year old air conditioner units were approaching the end of life despite several recent summer repairs, and the south facing rooms were extremely hot during the summer despite window shades. After obtaining a few insulation evaluations it was clear the home also could use more insulation due to contraction of old attic cellulose, plus new a/c units. Although we have had great service from other air conditioner companies we decided to go with Ideal based on the listing on the manufacturer's web site of local installation companies trained and certified for installation of our brand, plus their experience with insulation, and excellent reviews. We contacted Ideal and Ryan came out for a site visit, spent a lot of time answering questions, did not appear rushed, provided quotes including rebate discounts for several options and followed up with us. We decided to opt for the new a/c system and bringing our insulation to meet the R38 standard. Cristian Z and his excellent team removed the old units and installed the new heat pumps with environmentally friendly refrigerant, and installed new attic exchangers, over two days. Cellulose insulation was added on a third day. As mentioned in other reviews, the cost was expensive, especially because of the units we chose, but the work was extremely professional done by an obviously experienced and personable team who used modern equipment to protect the outside units from the extreme sunshine, heat and surge protection. They made necessary changes to the circuit box going over the changes at the end. Cristian took time to go over management of the units using our thermostats. It's a fact of life that in order to live in the Phoenix area good air conditioning and insulation are needed in the summers. My experience with Ideal for installation of new air conditioning units, and insulation, was excellent supporting the numerous other five star reviews. Obviously each situation will vary depending on budget and needs, but if your a/c is in need of replacement the team from Ideal that installed our new higher tech units demonstrated why they have such great reviews and are listed as recommended installers by our manufacturer.
