Stay very very far away. I inherited this relationship based on a home I had purchased that, during inspection, had the HVAC cited as not blowing out cold air. The company sent someone out and let us know that the issue had been resolved. But...it wasn't. In fact, when the contractors arrived to work on the home, they too cited the EXACT same problem. So I called and they sent someone out to the home to fix it. But...the next day the same problem existed. So it was not fixed. Now I called up a THIRD time (remember, I just bought this home so I had no prior opinion on the service) and they scheduled an appointment for this past Monday. When I drove across town to the house we purchased- we are still living in the home we are leaving so there is 25 minutes drive between the two- and then called to see where the technician was, I was shocked to learn they (Parker & Sons) had NO record of the appointment. And thats after they sent me a text confirming it! But...there's more! They then scheduled a tech to come out ASAP and gave me an absurd 10-2pm window. I get it, that is their method and I'm not entitled so I said fine. They said they would call 30 minutes before the tech headed over. Well, the clock hit 1pm and I thought why not be proactive. I called, reached a dispatch, who then informed me that the tech was just cooling off and then heading to the home. So he should be there by 1:45. Well, I drove 25 minutes AGAIN across town only to have to call back b/c the clock read 2:04pm and nobody showed up. Again, the service rep sounded "shocked" yet this was two times in one day and my time was wasted for nothing. He looked into it and said the technician just decided to not show. Mind you, I have been sitting in a car while it's 118 outside. They promised me a supervisor would call and handle this. They promised someone would be there by 8am the next day. Well, in fact, someone did show up at 8:50 (not his fault was stuck in traffic) BUT, they had scheduled a DIFFERENT guy at 6am! Huh? Didn't I tell everyone I can't be there any earlier than 8am bc I have to drive over. Well when I tried to reach the dispatch, I kept getting an answering service. And they have a comically bad AI agent named Lacey that can do nothing to help. Oh, and the supervisor who was supposed to call...crickets. The tech finally did arrive and they are hopeful they can remedy the problem...tomorrow. Well, we move in tomorrow and I have been trying to get this sorted out since July 7th!!! So frustrated is clearly an understatement. I think the better word is baffled how anyone can do business this way. read more

Originally, I noticed a water spot in my living room above my tv. they came to my residence on the 30th of June, and their expert tech probed the ceiling, and found ZERO moisture and was sure it was just an "overflow of the tub of our kid splashing" from upstairs, and due to his over 20 year experience he was sure of this. Here we are, a week later, and my ceiling is leaking into my tv, and entertainment center. My son noticed after a droplet landed on the tv. Now the ceiling is REALLY wet, and i guarantee more damage has occurred in the last week. So what now? This is going to be a much more costly issue......two weeks before my wedding. Beware! Do not use!! This past Sunday I had Mario from Parker and Sons come out to inspect my AC unit. He told me that he could try to get it started with two new wires and a new contactor which would be $968. Then he turns around and tells me that the compressor is shot and that the only two solutions is to buy a new compressor for $7000 or a whole new HVAC system for about $14,000! I told him there's no way I could afford that. Then he states that he is still going to charge me the $968 for the contactor and the wires, even though nothing was fixed! I told him no way and to take those parts and leave. I definitely felt like he was trying to take advantage of me. Later on that day, he calls me up and says that he can come back and fix it doing the same thing he tried to do earlier that day. I told him no way! I had another AC service come fixed it with the two new wires and the new contactor for half the price for 500! This place is a scam. My most recent service call with them was to repaired water softener under warranty. Technician arrived on-time and did a great work. He checked many other things, was very pleasant and took his time to take care of the issue and other things such as home water pressure, RO system's water quality and backwash checkup. 10/10 for him and that service. After receiving an email about "How likely are you to recommend us to your friends", I gave them a 7 out of 10. I immediately got an email back to clarify why I gave them a 7. I sent a detailed email back stating that even though my recent experience was great, previous engagements were not positive and one actually caused more damage to my plumbing when they did maintenance. I received an email back with a long list of thanks, justifications and reasons why things happened. It looked very canned, so I put my email that I wrote to them in ChatGPT. It was almost 95% to 98% word-for-word response. A few things were changed here and there, but most (almost all) were AI-generated. My question is why does a company ask for feedback and then they put my feedback in ChatGPT and send me a response back? I don't know the reasoning behind this lazy and impersonal method of communication, but I dropped my rating for the company based on this experience which justified my response to them regarding my previous experiences. Parker & Sons was the fourth company I called to my house to quote a new A/C system. I called them mostly because they advertise through Costco. The experience was just bizarre. Since I had already had three other companies quote the job within the same week, I had a good sense of what the work involved and roughly what it should cost. For starters, there is nothing unusual about the design of my home. Single story with 2 handlers in the attic and 2 units at the side of the house and my existing units are working, just getting old. But here's what happened. The first person from Parker & Sons showed up and wasn't able to give me a quote. He said he would have to talk to his boss about code compliance issues. He wanted to install a walkway in the attic. He wanted to install the new air handler in a totally different location. He also said there was no light near one of the units in the attic, even though there is a working light right next to each existing unit. Keep in mind, the other companies had already told me there were no code compliance issues. So he left and I had no quote. I called the office, and they sent out a "senior tech." He looked at the job and told me he couldn't fit a new air handler through the attic access panel. He then insisted that he wanted to look around my house for another attic access panel. I told him there is only one panel, and the other three companies had no problem using it. He repeated that he wanted to look around my house for another access panel. I told him I renovated my home six months ago, I know the house like the back of my hand, and I'm certain we only have one attic access door. He asked again. I said no, I would stake my mom's life on it. He asked again. I said no. Then he asked, "Are you saying we can't look around your house for another access panel to the attic?" At that point, I told him we were done with that conversation. Then he dropped the bomb and said it would cost around $50,000 to install two units. I told him that was over $10,000 more than the next highest quote and that he should leave. So that was my experience with Parker & Sons. After that, I thought I was done with this company, but, sadly, they CHARGED ME to renew my annual contract WITH NO WARNING. When I called to get it reversed, they said it would take 10-14 days. Really? Why? It's not like they had to check inventory for anything and they would know they did not provide any service, since I called the same day they charged me. I consider that completely unreasonable. I have such distrust for this company that I'm SURE they cannot defend taking so long and just held onto the funds for as long as they thought they could get away with it. AND THEY STILL DIDN'T CREDIT ME AFTER 14 DAYS!! I had to contact them again (on day 16), at which point they credited me the same day, just like they could have done the first time I called. My only regret is that I gave them a second chance. I should have called the credit card company and opened a dispute. Anticipating that was my next step, this time I contacted them via their online form so that I would have a paper trail. As for the "no warning" part, the gal promising to process my refund said that the fine print of the annual contract said it would auto-renew. That may be true, however, I have probably over 20 different kinds of accounts that are also auto-renew and not a single one of them fails to let me know that the renewal is coming up. I have had quite a lot of encounters with this company and at this point, I can't think of a single company that I distrust more than this one. I think they are unreliable, money-grabbing snake-oil peddlers, sneaky, and possibly staffed with marginally competent technicians. Recently, one unit stopped cooling, and the Parker & Sons technician claimed we needed a brand-new $7,000 compressor. Shortly after I got a call from a technician that he would be at my property in 30 mins. 4 mins later I get a text from him that he now has to stop by at an emergency call in my area and that he will come by after that. 30 mins later I receive a call from another representative that they're not going to come today but can schedule me for Monday. I let him know this is for our oven and we can't cook, was told that's not an emergency and they're not going to come today. Their website says "no extra charges for nights or weekends, get service in minutes, not days - 24/7!" The company I hired did not charge me for a quote. Parker and sons charged me $79.00 to take a look. Parker and sins quoted me $1700 to change a valve that ended up taking 2 hours to replace. The quality and brand of the part was the same for both companies. The company I hired charged me approximately half of what P&S wanted to charge me. They are constantly trying to upsell you on a service or product will not providing the service for what they're therefore. Overpriced and over promised, and they constantly under - deliver Got an estimate on a replacement hot water heater and it was more than $2000 more than the highest less than I received after that Found out we were paying for a service to our HVAC serviced, and they weren't doing the complete service that they said they were doing and we found that our drain lines have been clogged and when I asked about it, they found out that nobody had trained the lines or clean them My recommendation is find another HVAC company that is more mom and pop on and takes care of its customers. Dear Mr. Bingham, My wife and I have been Parker & Sons customers for years and have invested thousands of dollars in our home through the company, including our air-conditioning system, electrical panel, water softener, reverse osmosis system, and Family Plan membership. Unfortunately, our recent service experience was extremely disappointing. The technician diagnosed a refrigerant leak and repeatedly recommended replacing our air-conditioning system for $9,000-$13,000, while also telling us Parker & Sons had not installed our existing unit and that no Family Plan information could be found. After escalating the matter to a supervisor, we learned that Parker & Sons had in fact installed our system, our warranty was still valid, and the repair should have been covered under that warranty. As a result, what should have been a warranty repair was delayed, leaving us without proper air conditioning during Arizona summer temperatures while we waited for the issue to be corrected, which as of 1:00 pm today has still not been repaired (3 days) We understand that mistakes can happen, but we expected better communication, more accurate information, and greater respect as long-time customers. After reading other BBB reviews, I noticed experiences that sounded similar to ours, which made our situation even more concerning. ALERT!!!: Air Conditioning Service 'Family Plan Member' here telling you that being a "PRIORITY" customer to Parker & Sons means stringing you along for more than 24 hours after providing TWO separate 4 hour windows (yesterday and today) to show up to fix an air conditioner that THEY serviced just two months ago. The Family Plan membership is JUST a ploy to keep you on the hook and NOT call another provider. Do NOT make the same mistake I did! WARNING!!!WARNING!!!- While Parker & Sons tries to publicly pretend they are a family owned business- THEY ARE ACTUALLY A PRIVATE EQUITY OWNED CRAP SHOW. (**I had to do some digging on this- because you know, waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and failure to show, then calling, and waiting and waiting some more-- I had some time!!) BUT they are owned by a Private Equity national home repair and maintenance conglomerate known as the Wrench Group, LLC. They are not owned by a local 'family' (anymore) and their practices and service levels seem to be directly in line with every other PE group I have professionally worked with or that I have patronized as a customer- THEY cut costs, cut service levels, screw employees/customers, raise costs, and up sell unnecessary crap. Obviously home sourced rep answers with pots and family home noise in the background. They assure me SOMEONE will come out. Finally, a tech shows up at almost 8:00pm, JUST as a monsoon storm arrives. Due to safety we decide to that he will call dispatch and they will call me between 7:30-8 to arrange someone to come out in their 8-10am service window. 8:15am, NO CALL. I call them- they tell me that they see my request and can have someone out between 10-2pm!! (**THIS IS THEIR TREATMENT OF A VIP/PRIORITY CUSTOMER- NOW 24 HOURS AND STILL NO TECH.) THEN- When I call to check status of things- they assure me someone will reach out 30 minutes prior to arriving in the 10-2pm window AND THEN (I kid you not) ATTEMPT to upsell me on the phone to have an Electrician come out and do a 'panel inspection'. (We had a new panel installed in conjunction with SRP 2 years ago!!!)- So I call out the rep on the fact that they have an awful lot of nerve trying to upsell me on NEW services when they STILL haven't provided me with actual service I called them for. Over the years we've had a good experience with them as our HVAC contractor. We have had them replace our furnace and A/C unit as well as maintain them. We have a series of multi-year biannual maintenance agreements. During that time, the techs have found some issues but have shown us pictures and videos to show the issues and prove that they are for our units. This is literally the first review I have ever written, but am compelled to do so given the poor experience I had with Parker & Son's. On July 18th, my water heater gave out and was leaking in my garage. I contacted Parker & Son's to give me a quote on removing my 50 gallon natural gas water heater and replacing it with another water heater as well as a 2 gallon expansion tank. The quote was for $4,000. This price included a 6 year warranty and complimentary service calls if needed if the water heater needed to have repairs. I HONESTLY COULD NOT BELIEVE THE $4K QUOTE!! When I questioned the technician more, he pivoted and in an effort to compromise said he could install it for approximately $1,350 if I supplied the water heater and expansion tank. I told him DONE! I went to Home Depot and I purchased the 50 Gallon Water Heater, drain pan and expansion tank for approximately $850. So, all in it was $2,200 ($1,350 + 850 = $2,200) after buying the water heater, expansion tank and drain pan plus paying Parker & Son's for installation. THE POINT OF THIS REVIEW IS PARKER & SON'S WERE GOING TO CHARGE ME AN ADDITIONAL $1,800 ($4,000 - $2,200) FOR THEM TO SUPPLY THE WATER HEATER AND EXPANSION TANK AS OPPOSED TO ME DRIVING UP TO HOME DEPOT AND PURCHASING THE SAME ITEMS!! I found this out for the first time today when I received an email stating that I was ninety days past due. When I told them to cancel this, I was told that I would have to pay the bill first. I called because my hot water heater was leaking. They gave me an estimate of 5,500. When I said that was ridiculous, they offerred a lesser plan and heater for 3,500. They also said I had too much pressure on my water line and needed a part put on. Also stated my current heater would not pass City of Scottsdale Inspection. RESULT: I had A LICENCED PLUMBER come out. He said my water pressure was fine and no part was needed. Kaitlin, thank you for your Yelp response; however, I've already spoken to 2 supervisors and the only things I got from it was a 10% discount on the already high priced services, a lot of excuses as to why P$&S charges so much and never resolved the main issue of offering to do unnecessary repairs. We used Parker & Sons for a water softener installation some years ago, and we also had them install a water heater. Recently, we needed to have the softener serviced after it was having some issues. They found out, after some communication, we found out it was under warranty. I am glad they got the billing straightened out, and I'd use them again. They were able to get it repaired next business day after all, and it is since working fine. read more

This place sucks!! They sent out the wrong tech after we thoroughly explained that we needed an AC tech and not an electrician because SRP had already checked things out. They sent someone who did the same thing we just had done, didn't diagnose or resolve anything. They were supposed to send another tech out that night and gave us an ETA of midnight. Around 12:30 AM we still hadn't heard from anyone so we called and cancelled the service and found someone else. They charged us almost $400 to do nothing when the second company we went with charged us half that and actually fixed the problem. They just wasted our time, left us without AC for days and charged us a ridiculous amount of money for nothing. Trying to get in touch with their customer service has not been productive to say the least read more
