This cafe is all about location. Close to the best vietnamese restaurants in the bay area. Go next door or down the street to the various restaurants for vietnamese food. Everything from places which specialize in Hue cuisine to egg rolls only to banh beo. Better choices than off Tully Owner onsite. Good place to work. Starbucks abandoned the sitdown cafe work strategy in favor of higher volume. SB doesn't need my business. Money spent here goes back into the local community. Unlike 80s and 90s where the locals didn't have any money. They took the production jobs in Cisco and Tesla and have turned the area away from a low income area. Million dollar houses. Second and third generation owners of the local restaurants. Many have reduced locations and gone out of business. Definite demographic shift happening.

Prices are cheaper than most restaurant-styles in the Bay Area, with a majority of the items being under $20($14-18 range). Bread/baguette was the only minus here as the ends were either stale or overdone considering they were as hard as rock. Chicken Curry - Authentic tastes as mentioned, great nostalgic home cooking taste. As I only had a few bites, not going to give points about this. Default "Water" is some kind of brighter yellow/green tea, potentially chrysanthemum which was nice as a refreshing change of pace. Service was great, waitress filled our water pretty much spot on as we finished it and checked in with us. All in all, great spot to stop by for a cheap lunch with the only problem being location/small parking lot.

The bun Bo hue was delicious, tasted like a mother made it. The service is great, employees are easy to talk to and chill. Try the bun Bo hue or bánh mì ốp Ila and tell me what y'all think.
