This was trippy! Went thinking I'd get a Vietnamese coffee with one of my grown kids. Nice hostess invited us to a table, and I thought it was a little weird, seemed like only men, all on their laptops, were patronizing the cafe. The hostess in a sweet dress turned to show us to a table and was wearing nothing on the back of her--absolutely nothing! So it was quite the fantasy for some, I guess. Best Egg Coffee in-town If you want an authentic Vietnamese egg coffee. Here is the place for you. Coffee are strong and awesome. Egg cream on top is the best I have ever tried. It has a hint of beer, creamy and slightly sweet. I also got my order less sweet. The ladies are so sweet and hot at same time lol. Owner is very cool and sweet. Formerly Chot Nho Cafe which is still referred as CN1 instead of the new name. This was my favorite cafe back in the day - I still stop by once in a while because they open late for the drive home coffee (and nostalgia). The interior was remodeled, removing the previous cashier area and added a long bar taking up an entire wall. Looks like a lounge bar but no alcohol is served. The new ceiling neon lights rotate colors. Furniture are not new though. Outside patio remained the same. Keeping the same female-baristas is a plus. Still consistent overall. I made a visit to San Jose and visited three coffee shops. Fantasy Cafe was my second stop. Let's me start with the positives: spacious shop, good food, good service, and a cute waitress. The negatives: one cute waitress. Really there was only one waitresses on a Saturday night. This shop is totally misnamed, because it is not a Fantasy Cafe. Before walking in there is a city notice prohibiting alcohol, smoking, and lewd activities. So at some point this place must have been a real party but now it's definitely not a Fantasy. The coffee shop scene in San Jose is so different from Orange County. But with only one exception the coffee shops are boring. Simple as that, boring. No bikinis, no show, and no socializing. Better to spend your time and money at a cafe that has more than one waitress. read more

How did I not write a review for this place when it was Chot Nho Café!? And why is now Fantasy Café? I have not been back to this place in quite some time as the experience has seemed to change entirely. I first came here in 2011, introduced to this place by a Vietnamese classmate of mine. We came at about 1pm in the afternoon on a weekday, and the place was packed. I'm talking super packed. Like so packed that even though we got the last table, it was barely large enough to accommodate the four of us. We ordered 4 Viet Iced Coffees (Café Sua Da), about $4 each. Our scantily clad waitress promptly brought them out, along with complementary iced teas. She was wearing a fishnet top, with nothing under it. I had never been served a beverage before by an extremely fit woman with exposed nipples. One never really considers these things in the United States - it felt like I was in an action flick set in South East Asia. The iced coffee was absolutely delicious. The packed room filled with smoke as the patrons chuffed their cigarettes, and before I knew it, a Latina waitress stepped up onto a table, removed her bra, and started dancing. This place was awesome! I came back several, several times over the years. Because there are 20+ TV's, it's a great place to watch sports. I must have watched most of the '11-'12 and '12-'13 NBA Playoffs here. The avocado and jackfruit smoothies are absolutely delicious, and the Vietnamese dishes (yes, they serve real food) were surprisingly good. This place used to be so much fun. I remember taking my little cousin here for his birthday (relax guys, he turned 18 two nights before) and we had a wonderful time. The food was excellent, the drinks were great, and we got the best table right smack in front of the TV's. Our waitress that day decided that wearing clothes altogether was too difficult, and she served us wearing nothing but make-up and high heels. She was absolutely gorgeous and if this is some sort of health code violation, we didn't mind it... at all. Needless to say, she was tipped generously. While I do not condone smoking indoors, it was nice for the ambiance in that it made me feel like I was on vacation in Asia. One day, I noticed nobody smoking and the waitress said that it is no longer allowed. Unfortunately, the nudity in this place also went away. Sure, the waitresses wear sexy outfits, but the thrill factor is gone. All you're really left with is great coffee, great smoothies, and better than expected Vietnamese fare. Now that this place is officially Fantasy Cafe, I hope they fulfill my fantasies by allowing nudity again. All they need to do is put someone on door duty to check ID's. If another Yelper visits and confirms that girls are at least topless again, I'll change my review back to what I thought the original Chot Nho Café deserved - 5 stars... and of course make my way back with a lot of cash for tips in hand. read more

I have been here for the past few years, and I guess it was renamed from Chot Nho Cafe to Fantasy Cafe. They remodeled the inside, there is a long bar counter with plenty of TV. I'm still a big fan of their outside patio, it is nice to sit outside during a summer day. As for service, I came during "non-rush" hour around 2PM, so it was pretty empty, the waitress is pretty attentive. the coffee is standard and they serve warm tea which is great. Parking wasn't an issue during non-peak hour, but I assume it is an issue during rush hour like before. read more
