Will not be coming back here. I came to use my laptop and have some coffee. I ordered an Americano and an espresso shot on the side. Mentally calculating, based on their menu I thought I would be paying about $5ish for both items. Then the guy says $9. I asked him why if i asked for a small Americano, he said because it is a double shot and it came up as a "medium" on the receipt but it was still in a small cup. He said something about it having an extra shot of espresso and they have different ways of charging Americanos. Also, I was charged for the espresso separately! Uhm, idk what scam this place is pulling but nonetheless, there was a line so i just took my coffee and let it go. It was also very very stuffy in here, they had no ac and just some fans everywhere. For a 4.5 star place I was expecting it to be nice and cool on a 86 degree day. They only get a two star review because the actual coffee was not bad but the customer service and ambiance definitely sucked. read more

Love having this local cafe just a few blocks away from me. It's a great spot to pick up food or drinks to start off your morning or even for on the go. My roommates and I mostly get bagels, acai bowls and coffee from here and it never disappoints. Every time we've ordered a lox bagel, they are pretty generous with all the fillings. They're acai bowls are tasty and the ingredients are always fresh. Their menu has a wide range of options so we definitely have more to try. If you're looking for a place to study or get some work done, there are a few tables inside and also in their outdoor patio area. The staff is always quick and friendly. A bit out of the way for me but came here to meet some friends. I love the many many choices of coffee and bagel selections. When you first walk in there's the counter and the drink menu. You have to turn around to look at the all the food options in addition to those on display. There is seating inside and out of the cafe. It wasn't too packed on a Saturday afternoon. Went on a brunch date here recently after finding the listing on Yelp (my favorite search engine, lol). The staff was so pleasant and cheery. The lady at the register was even so kind as to tell my date and I that if we tell her what we like, she can recommend things off the menu to us. She thoroughly explained the açaí bowls we had questions about. After we seated ourselves, she brought over our bowls and told us to let her know if we'd need anything else. She was very sweet and mannerly. I wish I'd gotten her name. We ordered the Hawaiian and the Classic açaí bowl. I was in love with my Classic bowl. The granola, banana, and berries mix was more filling than I'd expected. I wish the bananas were warm but I know that's just a personal thing because my teeth are more sensitive than a Google Home sensor. My date tore the Hawaiian bowl up so safe to say that is was damn good. They had sandwiches, bagels, coffee and other tidbits on their menu so I hope to be back very soon despite the distance from my apt. Will spread the word! read more

This is probably hands down my favorite cafe in the neighborhood. I've been a lot of places, had my spots and such and have stayed loyal and when I moved here 3 months ago I was sad because all the cafes up until arriving here at IC were too small, too hipster, too broken down, and just too much everything. But THIS place has got the right vibe. It's not too much of anything, it's always a comfortable sound level, and it's the kind of place that you can easily both finish an important job app off in a corner (cuz it's actually big enough) alone and unbothered or sit down with 1 or two friends and chat comfortably at the front. AND the food here is AMAZING (I got this amazing smoothie bowl and competes with the freshness and goodness I usually get in California). And (this is a big one) the COFFEE is perfect! This cafe is only a 5 min walk away from my apartment! i think itll always hold a special place in my heart because it was the first cafe in Bushwick that i visited when i first moved in and needed a place to camp out in as i waited for my apartment keys to arrive. I really like the smoked salmon bagel, iced white mocha, and #1 acai bowl (blended w yogurt and almond milk, loaded w plenty of fruit esp banana, chia seeds, delicious granola). I stayed at this coffee shop for six hours yesterday. The location has very strong coffee and even stronger Wi-Fi signals. The location is quiet and has a nice outdoor patio space in the back.
