They're open and ready to discuss and are willing to give a ballpark estimate without sight over the phone. Mine ballparked as something I should bring into the shop as it's worth saving! I'm glad I called the shop to see if it was worth saving. Will be taking my old MacBook here to have the logic board worked on, I'm so happy to have found a local shop that does board level work! I then found out that the keyboard is riveted to the palm rest, and it's a big hassle to remove them and then try to put it back together, so it's best to buy the keyboard/palm rest assembly. I realized this is probably beyond my ability level, so I called QCP. I was told that no, that's not how it works, and I can just bring in the keyboard and it'll be repaired. After a few hours, I got a call saying that the keyboard/palm rest needs to be ordered together, just like I originally mentioned. Ok - fine. So QCP ordered the part, and it came in - in the wrong color - a weird purple color with black keys on my gray laptop. I ok'ed it, because I just need my laptop to function, so I'll tolerate it looking like a ghetto green sedan with a white door. Hours after dropping it off a second time, I get a call - it's done...but oh, by the way, the old keyboard was backlit, and this one isn't...and it'll cost you 150% of the original agreed upon cost. I told him I really wanted it to be backlit, and he replied that I should just try it and see if it works. Well, yeah, it works, but it's not backlit, which was one of the main reasons I selected THIS laptop. So now I've paid 150% of the price, got a ghetto looking laptop, and to top it off, the touchpad doesn't work properly any more, and there is a 1-2mm gap in the front of my laptop where the bottom and top meet. Awesome. I just paid $160 to make it worse than it was to begin with.

They're always extremely fast to respond and if the person answering the phone doesn't have an answer for me, they make sure to bring on someone who can answer it. Anytime I tried to flag someone down for an update, they might've seemed a little flustered but they were kind and patient and were doing their best. They also assured me that if I wanted to come back in for more information or help, I should not hesitate and it's not a burden on them. I didn't always get a greeting at the door because of how busy it was, but eventually someone got to me and they apologized for the wait which really didn't bother me. I also had a baby on my hip the entire time and they didn't seem annoyed or flustered when she was making noise over them, they were very kind to both of us. I hope management and other customers read this review to the end and understand that we are all human and trying our best, and sometimes being patient helps them do their job better. It took me 5 minutes to figure out how to register. -They told me to go sit at a table and someone would come by and help me. I began to wonder when I watched others walk in and immediately get help. -But, lo and behold, about 30 seconds before my appointment was scheduled to begin, an associate came over to help me. -She was energetic, friendly, well prepared, and knowledgeable!
