He asked me a few questions and then told me how I could go about fixing the problem by getting an inexpensive device from a computer store. Rather than taking my computer and doing a fairly expensive fix the man helped me get my problem fixed in less than 30 minutes for $30. I will 100% use Triple Check Techs for all of my computer repairs in the future.

Tim came by a little later than he'd said (well, it was a Saturday) and was polite and professional. He called Monday with a price; computer was repaired the next day and dropped off where I work. There's a 30-day warranty for most work. Included in the $190 or so price: removing a virus, providing advice on how I got it, a reminder that our internet provider gives customers free antivirus software, a complimentary data backup, and pickup/dropoff. Hope I won't be back soon, but I'll call these folks again if I have troubles. Checks and credit cards OK.

BEWARE!!!!!! For…read moreanything but the most basic of compter repairs, I would steer clear of Northside Tech Support. I took my laptop to Northside because my laptop screen was flickering from time to time. Usually, I repair my computers myself but have been very busy with work and thought I would take it to "the professoinals" at Northside Tech Support so they could quickly make the necessary repairs and I could get back to work. Besides the flickering screen, my laptop had no other issues, was physically and mechanically in great shape and functioned near perfectly. Three weeks and a few days after I had dropped off my computer at Northside and many phone call later, I was told that a component of my computer "crumbled" as they took it apart and that I would be needing additional parts. This was cause for great concern but based on the reviews here on Yelp.com I had seen, I figured they guys must know what they are doing. Despite my growing concern, I decided I would continue to give them the chance to fix my computer. A week or so later, I received another phone call from them where they told me that they had to order some additional parts because their eBay parts supplier and they could not figure out which parts were the correct ones to fit my computer. eBay parts seller?? When asked, Northside told me they get all of their parts for their repairs from eBay, yikes!! Another week or ten days later, I called to inquire about the status of my repair. They told me they still had not figured it out. I asked that they put my machine back together and informed them that I would be picking it up and taking it to another repair facility. Kevin was very upset by this and told me that he "needed more time." I informed him that if he could not repair my computer in the just over four weeks he had it, he needed to give it back to me so I could have someone who knows what they are doing make the repairs. He exclaimed "you have not given me enough time!!" I could go on but after having tried to fix my computer for over a month, when I went to pick it up, my computer looked as if it had been dropped from a second story window. The outer case was cracked off and a "new" case with dents in it was my "new" cover (used part obtained form eBay), a key was broken off my keyboard and the keyboard itselft was no longer set into the computer, the computer would no longer turn on at all, and parts were and screws were missing. I had to look it over for a few minutes to try to ensure that it was even mine. I dropped of a good working computer with a flickering screen problem. Over four weeks later, I picked up a broken computer with missing parts that would no longer turn on or operate at all. I ended up having to purchase a new computer thanks to the fine handiwork of the "computer repair technicians" at Northside. They offered to pay me a nominal sum for the damage to my computer but what they gave me barely made a dent into what I had to spend for a new laptop. Like I said, if you need any type of computer repair besides the most basic of basic repair, steer far wide and exceedingly clear of this place as in my opinion and experience, they clearly do not know what they are doing.

So he took my laptop and external hd to try to get the data from it. Unfortunately, it was fried pretty badly, but they work with another company that specializes in data recovery. I had my important data backed up already, so i decided to get a new computer all together bc i compromised on the original one that fried out. Figured i would just get the one i really wanted. They recycled the old computer and returned my external hd the same day i made the decision. Throughout the process, i was completely informed of their progress via email. If i wanted to replace my hd and recover windows, i wouldve gladly given them my business. A loud voice kept repeating that message. I could not turn the computer off or silence the voice. A phone number appeared saying I needed to call it for help. Instead, I called FireLogic. I was quickly put through to a technical dispatcher who listened to my problem and connected me to a technician named Danny. Danny was familiar with the particular virus, he told me where it came from and said he knew how to deal with it. He was calm and knowledgeable and walked me through what to do. Within about ten minutes the laptop system was restored. Danny made sure my anti-viral system was still intact. He suggested that even though everything looked fine I should put the laptop through a complete viral check. I did that after we hung up. The system was stuck in a recovery loop, BitLocker was triggered, and Windows wouldn't load or even reliably enter repair mode.
