I reached out to Paul after getting his number as a computer repair service near me in Northbrook…read more I have been frustrated for close to six months being traded off from Microsoft support to Xerox printer support. Each telling me that the problem I had in not being able to print was the others fault. Friends and family all offered suggestions and possible solutions that only caused more problems with my system. After calling PAK, Paul spent several hours trying to figure out the issue and low and behold, after I left my desk, he found the corrupted driver causing all my problems. He did a great job for me and though I hope I have no more issues with my system, he would be the first person I call, if it were to arise.

TL;DR: The best PC repair service I have ever received in my life…read more I contacted about 7 different local PC repair shops to figure out what was wrong with my computer (ended up being a fried SSD). Out of those 7 places, I was lucky enough to find Oleg, who was: 1) The fastest to respond 2) The most available by far 3) The most pleasant to interact with 4) And most importantly, the best priced He opened up a spot for me the same day, came to look at my computer, then fixed it within one day, all the while being amazingly communicative and patient with all my questions. He went absolutely above and beyond in many ways that would take too long to list here, even allowing me to come to his HOME at night so I could drop off my new SSD. He also did an amazing job with repairing the PC itself, and left it literally even better than it was before the issue occurred. And though a more intangible factor, I could also tell that Oleg is just a good person who cares about his customers and takes his work seriously. In summary, if you want the best price, the best communication, and the best customer service in general, you want Oleg. You can try contacting other shops, but I have already done that and I guarantee you they are all more expensive and less available. Apart from the repair service I received from Oleg, I have no connection to him whatsoever - I am just extremely grateful at what a terrific job he did, and will come back to him immediately if I ever have another PC issue. He is a gem in this industry that we need more of.

Anyway, she somehow broke the molded piece where you insert your power cord. No idea how she did that, didn't even know it was something you could break, but there you are, it's The Queen. Anyway we took her computer in to Chat Tech Solutions to see if they could fix it, The office is small but so cute. Very open space and lots of natural light. The gentleman who was working there was very pleasant and offered us beverages while he assessed the damage to the computer. He called someone because he was not sure if the repair could be done and it turns out, they do not do that type of repair because it requires soldering. However he was kind enough to recommend another place of business, which is where we ended up going to get the repair done. For me that shows a wonderful regard for taking care of the customer, even though they did not make the sale. I will definitely consider them for other work that they can take care.

I bought it in and explained the issues. Three days later, they called me and said it was ready to pick up. When I brought it home, it worked like a gem. I can honestly say I've had no issues since that time. The work they did was amazing and they even threw in a free mouse at the time because they were worried the one sent to me by the manufacturer was adding to some problems. As proof of what I'm sharing, here's the service sticker atop my computer. Note the date. Simply put, they are miracle workers. Yeah, you may have to wait a few days but it's well worth it!!!

After chatting on the phone, he then ordered my replacement keyboard and let me know that it would arrive in a day or two and that he could install it shortly after. He even lent me a temporary keyboard so I could do work while we waited for the replacement keyboard to arrive. It gets better - Once the replacement keyboard arrived a day later, Chevy actually came to my office to install it which made things super easy for me. Machero should be rated as Chicago's best Mac repair store…read more Its a class act like this among all the sneaky ones in the world that reaffirm there are good, decent, and honest people left in this world. My Mac's screen sizzled and then went dead after some water damage. I took the Mac to Apple and off course those self serving geniuses immediately told me my Mac is history and I would need to rebuild the entire circuit board for 900.00 or get a new computer. I was bummed and did nothing for month until I realized there is life outside apple care. So I called a few places on yelp and didn't get some good vibes. Most of them wanted to charge me non refundable fees to see if they can fix it and some over the phone also said i needed a new circuit board. So my intuition told me to call Machero and they told me to bring it in for free estimate, no obligation. I figured worse case they would tell me what the others did about a circuit board. An hour after I brought it in, Gino tells me the only thing that was damaged was some memory chips and he can repair everything for under $100.00 total. Now, let me reiterate. I know as much about Macs as I do about astrophysics so he could have told me the bogus b.s. the other places told me and taken me to the cleaners Instead, his focus was on me as a person, not me as a number, or a receipt. Maybe if more businesses and their owners were as decent and ethical as he was, they'd be in business and not part of our financial fiasco. So let me save you time and money and headaches. Be like NIKE: Don't think, just do it, and if you have a Mac issue, bring it in for some real people skills in fixing your mechanical ones.

Gino and I got in touch because of an event I was running for FreshBooks. I needed a space and wanted to spend as little money as possible. I reached out to some of our customers in Chicago and Gino was SO awesome to get back to me super quickly and offer up his space to host our workshop. He worked with me to secure catering, audio-visuals and anything else I needed. Srsly -- ANYTHING! I needed a bunch of chairs and rental places weren't down with renting only 50. He got in touch with a nearby church and helped us arrange a donation to its after school program. AND helped me carry and drive over the chairs throughout one of the city's first snowfalls of the year. Incredible. Gino was the best host ever and I'm basically spoiled for out-of-town events for the rest of my life. Best dude. Best.
