A few days ago I was traveling, and I managed to do something extremely stupid - I spilled soda on my work laptop during a layover. My keyboard instantly stopped working, so I started to freak out. Lucky for me I found TekkEez, and they ended up being a huge lifesaver. Chevy reached back out to me almost immediately after I contacted TekkEez, and he was very reassuring about how quickly we could replace the keyboard and provided me with a very reasonable estimate. After chatting on the phone, he then ordered my replacement keyboard and let me know that it would arrive in a day or two and that he could install it shortly after. He even lent me a temporary keyboard so I could do work while we waited for the replacement keyboard to arrive. It gets better - Once the replacement keyboard arrived a day later, Chevy actually came to my office to install it which made things super easy for me. In April, I took my laptop to Tekkeez after dropping it and damage being caused to the keyboard. To my dismay, the keyboard began to lift and eventually cracked again last week. Unfortunately, this occurred 6 months after the repair -- about 3 months after the 90 day warranty expired. I called Tekkeez immediately and left a voicemail explaining my dilemma. After not hearing back after 2 days, I called and left another voicemail. Finally, I received a text asking for photos and a copy of my receipt in exchange for a quote, which I sent the same day. Another 2 days passed, so I followed up to request a quote. I was told if I paid cash it would cost $150. My problem with this is I paid $166 the first time for what I assumed would be a permanent repair, but ended up only being a temporary fix. My fairly new keyboard should not have lifted and cracked again. I can honestly say I did nothing to cause damage to the keyboard this time, which leads me to believe it was not properly installed. Why would I pay the same business full price for a repair they did not properly complete the first time?! I reached back out to Tekkeez because I wanted to give them the opportunity to remedy the situation. Due to my negative experience, I cannot recommend Tekkeez for computer repairs. If they cannot properly replace a keyboard, I certainly would not trust them with a more challenging repair. In response to Tekkeez response: I know I caused no damage to the keyboard this time, and your claim of my statements being far from the truth is a joke. You definitely quoted me $150 as a cash price (I still have the text messages), and you definitely took a ridiculous amount of time to follow-Up to my inquiry. This is the experience I had with your business and you will not persuade me otherwise by essentially calling me a liar. Very professional! It is what it is. DO NOT EVER WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE!!!!!! I brought in my phone to get the screen replaced. Everything worked fine with my phone besides the screen being cracked. The kid replaced the screen and seemed nice enough. When I returned home later my phone screen kept crashing and wouldn't reconnect to the phone. Brought the phone back in for him to fix it and he wasn't there. Talked to his cashier to find out when he would be back and when he could fix the phone that wasn't broken before he touched it. So I go back later that day when he was there. I, a paying customer, walk into his little store and he asks another paying customer who he was helping to step outside so he could lecture me. HOW UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! He lectured me saying that I was rude to his cashier earlier. I apologized... That should have been the end of it. BUT NO. When I come back an hour later to pick up the phone he tries to continue his lecture not once but twice. He never apologized for messing up my phone or wasting my time. This is the first time I have used a tech repair shop. I live in Edgewater and had walked past this shop a few times. When my PC gave me the blue screen of death, I took it down there. There was no wait; I was immediately helped. The person helping me took in all the information and was quickly able to assess the issue and give me a time frame, as well as a price, which seemed fair. I got a call within the time frame given to come pick up my laptop. The only issue I had is that it was more expensive than originally quoted because of an unforeseen problem. Still doable financially, but I do wish they would have called and checked the up charge before going ahead. I wasn't able to make it to the store before they closed and really needed my laptop before the next day, so to make up for not alerting me to the unforeseen charge, the person on the phone volunteered to deliver the laptop since I was down the street. I had no words. That's so insane customer service! I am definitely going to them for any technical needs from now on! read more

The "owner" came to replace the battery in my phone. It took 45 minutes. After he left i noticed that the screen was not popped all the way back in and my sound buttons on the side of the phone were no longer working. I was unable to pop the screen in myself, and now i have to go to settings and turn my sound on/off, louder/quieter. I asked him to return that week to fix the damage to my phone and he kept rescheduling saying he was "swamped" and "had the flu." Horrible service. My phone was better off before GIGA. read more
