The only negative review I see on yelp is for someone who was unhappy with a phone conversation- where Lebowitz told him he doesn't repair TV's . Mark Lebowitz is a caring and intuitive IT tech. I was starting to panic after 2 weeks of no wifi in my home. Comcast had run new cable from the pole but when the problem continued, it became my fault, not theirs. I scrambled to find an independent IT contractor and after a few failed attempts, called Lebowitz IT Services. He ran a "ping test" diagnosis on my modem (which I lease from Comcast) and while the signal was strong, there were inconsistencies that could have been enough to interrupt my service. I then insisted Comcast send another tech and sure enough, that was the problem. They actually had to "dumb-down" my modem to an older model that was more tolerant of the inconstancies. I can certainly recommend Mark for any home business IT work. read more

I mistakenly deleted my entire library of family videos and photos on an external drive while transferring files to a new computer. I searched for local computer and/or IT specialist to see if the deleted files could be recovered. I decided to contact Liebowitz IT Services with the task and I am very happy that I did. Mark was reasonably confident that the irreplaceable files could be recovered so I trusted him with my hard drive. It him took several tries with different software but he was diligent and kept trying. Each attempt took many hours of waiting and it was several days before he successfully recovered the files. I was a victim of an email scam and downloaded a virus. After reading some online FB reviews I called Mark. He let us safely drop off our laptop (this is being written during COVID-19) and worked his magic extremely quickly. He's rates were super reasonable and saved day with a quick turnaround. We were able to safely pick up our laptop and we were back in business. Not only did he get ride of the virus, but also tweaked a few things and got the machine running a lot faster. After a very disappointing experience with the technical support team at a chain store, we called Lebowitz IT Services, LLC and were immediately impressed with Mark the owner who quickly understood our situation and was beyond sharing and helpful. I left a message for Mark on Sunday afternoon. I received a return call first thing Monday morning. Took my home built pc to him to diagnose a problem that afternoon and he quickly identified that I had not fully seated one of the power connections to the motherboard which resolved the post errors. Very rude! Yes it does say IT service but Yelp brought them up in the tv repair search I did. Not their fault of course but none the less the guy that answered was very rude. And I even told him that Yelp brought him up when I searched for tv repair yeah... Very rude! I don't know anything about their services other then how he answered the phone and handled my situation but the way he did was very unprofessional!
