    I have a Macbook pro that needs its battery replaced, I also want to upgrade the hard drive. I bought the parts from OWC but so far, no place will install third party parts that are supplied by me. Is this a job you'd be willing to take on?

Talked to a number of places nearby and they didn't do work on these lower end units since they weren't as serviceable but Anthony recognized the problem when I called him and said he'd take a look. After a week he assessed that the easy fix of pushing on the problem chip since that at best is a temporary solution and could actually cause it to fail. We agreed to give it another week for him to try to obtain a factory refurb kit (to remedy design flaws) from one of the closed service centers. He got the kit and he undid a kluge repair that the authorized service center had done a year ago to get the LED display back so that he could refurb all the flaws inside to factory standards. Receiver is in tip top shape. Cost me $240, but kept this heavy piece of electronics out of the waste bin and does the job at home. (and saves me the search to roll the dice on a new receiver). Anthony's great on the phone and in person working with customers.

Every time I went into the store, I have been treated with respect, given options for what I wanted to purchase, and Mohammed has always worked with me to give me the best possible price on the items, which are always in extremely excellent condition and like this past Saturday when I was looking at the 12.9 inch iPad Pro that he clearly stated had a battery that is failing and likely would need replacement very soon showed me a 9.7 inch iPad Pro that has a good battery and although a little smaller serves my needs very well and once again got me the best possible price on it. I very soon will be in the market for an Apple Silicon Mac so I can run macOS Tahoe, asked him if it would be worth purchasing one with a damaged screen and having him replace the screen on it, and he said I would not recommend that as the repair would likely be quite expensive and recommended checking with him in a week or two to see if he gets any Apple silicon MacBooks in which I definitely will do. You cannot go wrong if you want excellent advice, excellent quality devices, or repairs with CHICAGO GADGETS, I will be a forever customer, and recommend to all my friends and family members all the time to go to CHICAGO GADGETS for their tech needs. A phone call came and I learned my problems were not as bad as I'd thought (yea!) $75 and a few hours later I took my laptop home.     ***BEWARE*** I had a…read moretruly disappointing experience at G7 Electronics while trying to get my iPhone 13 screen fixed. I went in with high hopes, having had positive interactions in the past, but this time was very different. I explained to the technician that my screen wasn't functioning. He confidently offered to replace it in about 5-7 minutes for $157 (or $155 via Zelle). After a quick comparison with another store that quoted $225, I decided to proceed. When he finished, I noticed the screen looked blurry, and there was a warning that said "unidentified part detected." When I inquired about it, he mentioned a genuine part costs more and didn't let me know a non-genuine part would be used. I would've preferred to pay for the real deal! Things escalated quickly. He became visibly frustrated, saying he'd need to talk to his boss. After some time, he returned but had reverted my phone back to the non-functioning screen! When I asked why, he couldn't give a clear answer. In the end, he refused to give me my phone back and actually demanded $50 for the service I never received. Feeling cornered and frustrated, I ended up having to call the police--something I've never had to do before! If you're considering G7 Electronics, I really don't recommend it unless you're looking to experience disappointment.
