I went to Nestech Computers, Inc. because I had an issue with my PC. The owner, Raymond Vasciannie (goes by Sean), recommended a new motherboard, as he said my current NZXT N7 Z490 was dead. I found a compatible, refurbished model online (Z590), which he installed, and returned my PC. Shortly after, Raymond reached out, asking for details on my old motherboard, claiming he had a similar client issue. This was unusual given that my motherboard model is rare. Later, I discovered a Facebook listing posted by Raymond, selling an NZXT N7 Z490 marked as "used"--posted shortly after our conversation. I later found out that the same listing was made on OfferUp. I grew suspicious, as the listing perfectly matched the markings on my old, dead board. When I asked him to return my old motherboard back, he agreed and immediately deleted the listing. He returned my motherboard but insisted that he'd sold another client's board, denying that the listing was of my board. Despite clear evidence, he stuck to this story and dismissed my concerns. This experience has raised serious concerns about Raymond's honesty and integrity in handling client property. I'd advise caution to anyone considering Nestech Computers, Inc., as I believe my trust in Raymond was severely misplaced. read more

And waited until after they were already on the way to mention anything about shipping fees. Said computer wouldn't turn on and turned on right away with water damage. Doesn't really know what he's doing. Would recommend anything else. Now after adding this review he is trying to intimidate me and my girlfriend into deleting our reviews saying he knows where we live and my parents. Even calling me and saying he wanted to pull up to me and fight just for me to delete my accurate review. Predator behavior. Not to mention he uses a fake name Sean for scenarios like this when his real name is Raymond lol. He also hides his main reviews on google which is ridiculous. Not good enough for me, didn't like the service. Quality wasn't there too and bad customer service.

I am a 6-year retired programmer but I have seemed to forgotten all the Windows 11 Pro networking details I no longer use every day. I had a poorly configured home network with lots of connected devices, several computers, and network attached storage. A couple of computers had stopped talking to each other and passwords were messed up. I couldn't get the answers or solutions I needed from websites. I was frustrated. I had never used a consultant but Yelp directed me to Nestech Computers. I worked with Shawn of Nestech for an hour and a half. He remoted in to both my computers at the same time to see, test, diagnose, and adjust settings to success. He was knowledgeable and thorough in addressing my problems. He also cared about my whole network to add some extra network adjustments to improve its operation. I would use Nestech again. When I need computer help, I look for two things from a company: (1): they know what they're doing and (2): a sense that they actually care about my problem and genuinely want to fix it. Sadly, I have had more experience finding the former than the latter. I needed to get pictures off an external hard drive that had no cables. I had no clue how to do this. I did some internet research and narrowed my list to 3 companies. My first call was to Nestech Computers in Skokie, based mainly on the number of positive Google reviews. It was the only call I needed to make. Shortly after I left a voicemail, one of Nestech's technicians, Sean, called me back. He asked a lot of questions about my hard drive, which impressed me that he was both competent and he actually wanted to fix my problem. He came by later that same afternoon to pick up my hard drive and after seeing it, he explained what possible challenges. The next day he called with what I thought was a reasonable estimate and he got started. As it turned out, there was nothing on the hard drive. He reduced the price and got the drive back to me. I was impressed. Competence, caring and honesty. Sean did everything he said he would do. What's not to like? Nestech is the real deal, and I would recommend them with no hesitation. read more

We are a small family-based upholstery shop who values honest service providers. We have trusted Nestech for over 5 years and would never use any other service provider for our computer needs! Before Finding Nestech, whenever we had a computer problem, it was a nightmare trying to find someone to fix our computer issues! Everyone was either too expensive or we would have to take the computers to them. The technician is always very professional and he shows up right away. TOTAL SCAM and VERY RUDE--AVOID AT ALL COSTS. They give you one quoted price and charge you another. After being quoted an $85 flat fee over the phone, upon Sean's (the owner) picking up my computer for repair, he presented a bill that also stipulated an $85/charge and $30 pickup/drop off fee, despite not allowing me the option of picking up/dropping off the computer on my own. When I told Sean it was unfair to charge me a drop off/pickup fee for something I didn't agree to (nor had the option to perform on my own), suddenly the bill went to $170 because he was charging me for 2 hours of work, despite neither the initial phone quote nor the bill indicating that the $85 was hourly instead of a flat fee (as I originally understood). To make matters worse, Sean was extremely rude and called me a liar, cheap and other derogatory names, and somehow the number of claimed hours worked on the computer went from 2 to 3, however apparently they were being 'gracious' enough for charging me for only 2 hours despite claiming 3 hours of work done--the call ended with me threatening to take him to court over non-return of my computer at the originally agreed upon price--USE AT YOUR OWN PERIL. read more

After having an incredibley horriful experience with the Geek Squad at Best Buy I found Jeff with NeoTec. Probably the best personal experience combined with the expertise of a well seasoned IT. I had 3 computers he was working on all at the same time. I was thinking that he was going to charge me for 3 seperate computers but when he was finished in about 2 hours he charged me an hourly rate. So when one was installing and updating he was working on the others. Not only was he so productive he also gave me some tips on how to further protect my network. With free support and the in hourse, yes I said In House appointment he came to me and worked on my computers so I didn't have to disconnect everything and transport them to him. Great business model! So not only was he about a 1/3 of the price of Best Buys Geek Squad, he actually fixed the computers in house cheaper than 1 computer I had the Geek squad do which turns out wasn't even fixed when I got it back. I'll definatley use Jeff at Neotec again for my next computer melt down. read more
