He bought it and called Paul's Winnetka TV to install it. Paul showed up (masked of course) a few days later and told us we didn't need the pricey Eero and he could make our wifi oh so much better, especially in the rooms where it wasn't working as well (mostly my daughter's corner room upstairs and my husband's office in the basement). I'm not really sure what he did (some sort of re-rerouting), but he spent many hours here and our internet works perfectly in every room. It's always worked well in my office, but it's extra fast now, which I love. And most importantly no complaints from our resident 9 year old whiner. He charged us $400, which was less than the Eero (we returned it). He even showed up a few days later as promised with wood shelves to go under the routers and very patiently helped me re-connect my printer to the network. Additionally, this home was a new construction that brought added variables in the form of options to implement and customize. The logistics of buying are always taxing which is to say nothing of moving and initial setup. It was this "initial setup" where Auggie and his team's expertise shined to quickly bring our new home from an ominous "TODO list" to a place that we felt both comfortable and safe. Auggie started by first walking through the home with me and demonstrating his encyclopedic knowledge of all things pertaining to connectivity, audio & visual hardware, as well as monitoring & security. He not only used his knowledge to enumerate the options available to us but really demonstrated a commitment/empathy to our needs which were prioritizing safety, connectivity and then conservatively scaling into A/V options (having just dropped a lot of cash on a down payment). There was no upselling. He built us a min-viable plan while providing cost-tiered options thereafter (for us to both get a sense of trade-offs but also for us to have a sense of what to consider long-term). It felt selfish on my part in that I did not have to do deep research on these different subjects but rather I could pose my "stupid" and numerous questions to Auggie to be met with a quick reply that capably addressed my knowledge gap. He made it easy for us to decide to work with him. Once we aligned on scope, execution came next. On this side of things, there existed the same, relentless commitment to customer satisfaction. Despite having many concurrent projects at the time (also a good signal), they worked hard to set us up quickly after moving into our new home. The installation staff was prompt, diligent and professional in setting up our home but also very affable and patient with respect to walking me through how to understand and utilize our system.
