Stefan always knows how to fix my laptop. Had the McAfee malware and he got rid of it in a day. Highly recommend!!!

Several years ago, we had a hard drive problem with a laptop. We took the computer to Stefan and he quickly diagnosed what the issue was and ordered replacement parts. Since that first experience, we have brought him two other computers multiple times and he has always been quick to identify the problems and fix as required. We always appreciate his honesty, expertise and quick turnaround of equipment. When friends ask if we know someone who could help with their computer problems, we always recommend Stefan. read more

Stephan is very knowledgeable and helpful, I would recommend him for your computer repairs or help.

Excellent computer repair shop! Stefan is a true pro and provides outstanding customer service that is a rarity nowadays. I had some issues with an older laptop and provided a secondary unit with parts meant for replacement. The repair was completed as intended within a very quick timeframe, and some additional issues were diagnosed and sorted out. Fantastic attention to detail. Would have no second thoughts about coming back here for any other repair needs in the future. read more

I was traveling and accidentally dropped my laptop. The charging port was damaged. I called a friend, and he recommended Stefan at ComputerLand in Glenview. I brought my laptop in for repair the next morning. Stefan was super friendly, quick to diagnose the problem, and got everything fixed faster than I expected. They kept me updated throughout the process and repaired it at a reasonable price on the same day. My laptop is now running perfectly. I highly recommend this place if you need reliable and honest computer repair. Thank you, Stefan and ComputerLand. read more

Computerland is an extremely well run, well priced repair service. Have had my laptop corrupted and wiped and cleaned an on another occasion had a battery port replaced. Always quick service and very reasonable prices. I'm a repeat customer and this is my go-to place. read more

I have now used this company on more than one occasion. This guy is beyond good. If you have any problem at all with your computer and you don't take it to ComputerLand, you've made a big mistake. Pricing is beyond fair, service is great quality couldn't be better. Plus, he could not be a nicer guy. i'm a dinosaur when it comes to computers. A guy like this could really take advantage of me. Absolutely not the case. What a jewel in the middle of Glenview. read more

I really got to recommend this place because they helped me out in a bind. I accidentally dropped my wife's external hard drive which then popped open. I freaked out and tried to close it quickly. I then realized the port was upside down, and I didn't know what else was wrong. I brought it to Computerland, and the guy there was nice but not very talkative. He did an initial diagnosis, and I asked how long it would take to repair? He said I'll call you. It left me a bit worried, but then he called back and said 3 days or less. I got a call by the second day, and he finished the work. He seemed a bit surprised I wanted to check the quality of the repair, but everything worked as normal with no lost data. Plus, it only cost a fraction of competitors. read more

I'm a repeat customer and have always been pleased with the services performed. Great expertise, great customer service, and fast turnaround. They successfully recovered all the files I wanted from a damaged hard drive, and then later replaced my laptop hard drive with SSD storage, transferred over my files, and fresh installed my operating system. I will definitely return any time I need help with my computers. read more

I took my PC in to them back in 2019, in a dire situation and while it was fixed, they put in an older model graphics card (supposedly because when they installed an identical card to the one in my PC it "wouldn't work") and said if would "probably be fine" and "ok for playing most games". I accepted it because he was the expert and frankly they'd had my computer for quite a while and I needed it back. Obviously, it wasn't fine. My computer has continued working since then, which I fully appreciate, but I haven't been able to run a single one of the dozens of games I used to be able to play on it. They all report that the graphics card is too weak. Photoshop is also a laggy mess so I can't use that either. Basically I've got a PC that I can use for email. Speaking of email, I did email them about my dissatisfaction but they never responded. All in all, I didn't feel great taking my PC there in the first place but I was desperate and now I've got to get a new PC that works or find a new repair place. I can't recommend this particular location based on my poor experience. read more

My wife had a great experience here about a year ago, so when my Mac Book Air stopped booting up, I immediately called Glenview Computerland. I was not disappointed. Repairs were done quickly and the cost was extremely reasonable. Highly recommend! read more

My work computer stopped working first thing Monday morning (blue screen of death), I first tried various remedies on my own but none helped unfortunately with IT being outsourced overseas I was looking at indefinitely response time (previous experience pointed to over 78 hours) and work kept on piling on my desk. So I informed my boss of the issue, opened a work order ticket and quickly drove to Best Buy to see if I can get help but the earliest appointment they gave was after 5PM. OK but not good. So I researched and found Computerland and decided to give them a try. The owner accepted my computer and said he would give me a call after he run the diagnostic which turned there was a problem with a mother board. I had a working computer the very next day way before the outsourced IT got to my open ticket! I would definitely recommend this place. The fix made my computer way faster and it doesn't crash anymore. I have noticed that Computerland is a very busy place they seem to be always helping someone with complicated computer issues so I am glad I was able to get my computer repaired back quickly. read more

Relied strictly on Yelp to choose this business. 24 hour turnaround. Fixed my issue. Would use them again.

Our computer was running really, really slow - 20 minutes to start up. We took it in and I received a call the next day that my computer was ready for pick up! I don't think it ever worked as fast as it does now!! read more

I really appreciated the super-quick battery repair of our laptop. The other day we had noticed a bulge in the case, and based on experiences with other machines the battery had gone bad. The repair wasn't too expensive and much quicker than initially promised which was great. The reason we can't give 5 stars though is for a couple reasons that may not affect anyone else. We noticed that during a time everyone was asked to wear masks indoors, the person inside did not wear one, even when we obviously came in wearing them. We almost didn't go in at all, but we were feeling pretty desperate to get the laptop fixed. Also, despite our masks we noticed a strong cologne smell in the space that was nearly overwhelming. If you're sensitive to scents, like migraine sufferers or people with allergies can be, this may be a reason to avoid. Finally, we received no assurances they would handle the bad battery in an environmentally responsible way, such as making sure it got sent somewhere for safe processing. It would be have been nice to know we could have confidence on the end-life of the nasty metals and chemicals in the broken device. So we're not sure if we would go back. If these factors wouldn't bother you, I would then say go check them out for laptop battery repairs. read more

This is an honest and extremely helpful business. It's truly a rarity to find one like it. I came in to get support downloading Windows onto my Mac, but was explained that I needed to add storage in order to do it. The owner listened to my situation (I'm a student) and instead offered to let me use an old laptop he had on hand to finish my assignment. He helped me avoid a $150 charge that was only going to be necessary for a day or two of use. It also allowed me to complete my assignment on time instead of waiting for my laptop to be updated. The bottom line is Computerland is a life saver. read more

My laptop had a major crash, but it was quickly diagnosed and corrected quickly by Stefan. This I s the 2nd time he has repaired a problem on my laptop. Stefan is very competent, and is a highly ethical man. I strongly recommend him. read more

I came here to have the battery replaced in my laptop. They ended up having to replace the battery 3 times all within 2 weeks. The first time Computerland replaced the battery my computer said the new battery needed service. The power would drop from 50% to 7% in a matter of minutes. I had to go back for 2 more battery replacements because the batteries that were installed were having the same issue. After the 3rd times I just gave up. The "new" battery needs to be plugged in at all times or will die in 15-20 minutes. I can also hear it moving around inside the computer. I chose Computerland because of the great reviews, but unfortunately that was not my experience. read more

I brought my HP Pavilion laptop into Glenview ComputerLand after having problems with my hard drive not starting up properly. There was a problem with the system booting up improperly and a slow-running hard drive. A Plus was that Glenview ComputerLand offered a free fee diagnostic through a coupon on Yelp. Stefan was able to save, recover, and make a backup of all of my documents as well as my photos from my old hard drive. The solution was to make a clone of my old hard drive and upgrade my computer from 500 GB @ 5400 RPM to a 1 TB @ 7200 rpm Hard Drive. Overall, it was a quick and cost-affordable fix. The only charges were for the new hard drive upgrade as well as making the clone of my old hard drive. Another plus was that Stefan ran some software to clean up my old registries and caches to speed up the overall system and boot-up time. I was satisfied with the overall output of my laptop as well as the overall costs for the repair! I was happy that Stefan was able to fix my computer with an upgrade without having to purchase a brand-new laptop as my laptop has a couple more years left in it. Overall, the backing up of my files took less than a week and cloning my old hard drive to the new hard drive was also completed in about a week. Stefan was helpful with any technical computer questions I had as well as with any troubleshooting of the new hard drive. I was impressed by the technical expertise and know-how as well as the speed of fixing my computer at Glenview ComputerLand! Highly recommend utilizing the services of Glenview ComputerLand as well as Stefan! read more

Good service, fair price, job done when promised. My repair had two paths, one more expensive than the other. The recommendation was to take the less expensive path and if that failed shift to the more, with no cost added for the initial effort. Nice policy. read more

If you own a gaming computer and need repairs, DONT GO HERE! Stephan will tell you things that aren't true and will end up making you spend much more than you need to without even solving your issue. He didn't stick to his word. He didn't solve my issue. And he charged me 200$ for all of it. IF YOU NEED GAMING PC REPAIRS, go to micro center, they will solve everything first time in a much quicker and cheaper manner. Please don't take your gaming pc here! read more

Fixed my slow laptop for a reasonable price. Also got data off a broken laptop. Very happy with the service

I walked in here today and inquired about recovering data off of an old hard drive. I was greeted by the owner, who was approachable, professional, and seemed to be passionate about his work. I don't know a lot about computers, but he managed to bring me up to speed very quickly so that I was able to make an informed decision. At the end of it all, I was able to recover all of my data for a competitive price. I am so happy that great customer service like this still exists. I have been to 10 other computer places in the area and this one is the best BY FAR. If you have computer problems and you don't go here first, you are doing yourself a disservice. read more

I had an external hard drive that crashed on me with all my photos and videos from last few years on there. I needed to retrieve emails from my old Mac; the display screen went and looked like bars of color. Stefan inserted a piece from that old Mac onto a good Mac--and there were my much-needed emails. I don't think the iGenius staff at Apple would have been this helpful. I suspect they would have told me my data was as friend as that computer screen. Should I need computer assistance again, I'm relieved to know where to go. I can confidently recommend that you go here too. And how nice is it that ComputerLand also has classes in coding and computer skills for kids? read more
