BEST EXPERIENCE I EVER HAD WITH COMPUTER GEEKS!!! They were nice, helpful, informative, and they were able to give my computer Windows 11 which, even Microsoft said they couldn't do! I got the computer back, it worked great until Microsoft updated my Windows 11 and broke my computer!! I got the blue screen of death! I called them panicking, thinking I would owe more money! But they were great! They took my computer and reinstalled the system software, which fixed everything, free of charge, because they stood behind their original work! I had a CyberPower gaming computer that couldn't play games! They fixed it all, for a reasonable price and timeline! And Angel was just the nicest guy! I'm in tech and I actually fix the items ZombieTechs repairs when I have time. So I hope that impresses upon anyone how much I approve of ZombieTechs. As to why I'm so well taken with them, the main reason is their techs are friendly and knowledgeable. Their prices are more than reasonable. They also have multiple locations as well, which makes it convenient to get to depending on where one is when. I've taken 2 MacBook Airs, 1 MacBook Pro (Schaumburg), and an iPhone (Des Plaines)... and a partridge in a pear tree! Just kidding, about the partridge, the pear tree however, facts! Just kidding on the pear tree as well. Long story short, the techs knew enough about what is worthwhile for me to repair, let me know the problems, and the cost to repair. They obviously also repaired everything I agreed to have them take on. So far so good, no problems whatsoever. Their setup seems to be simple, come in, explain what's going on, drop it off, wait for them to take care of it, then pick it up. For me, as I work on these items here and there, the price was very reasonable and I was honestly surprised at which point now I don't have to do the one-off repairs for when a family member spills a beverage, cracks a screen, or wants a new battery, I tell them to go to ZombieTechs or I go to ZombieTechs for them. Do not come here. This place scams people. I paid 170$ total for a Lenovo ideapad 1 screen repair. The part that they found would work on my laptop was 70$ (100$ for their labor) they pulled up the touchscreen screen on eBay to show me the part it would be replaced with. It clearly said touchscreen: compatible with ideapad 1 15AMN7. I saw another part that was non touchscreen that said compatible with the same laptop that I have, and it was 30$ cheaper and I figured that I should get no touchscreen because I don't use it anyways. I asked for the non touchscreen, and they told me that it has "different connectors" even though it clearly said compatible. I am knowledgeable with computers but I just went along it because it's not the end of the world. We pay 70$ up front for the part deposit and when I come back, I pick it up in good condition. A few days later I realized that it was not touchscreen and they ripped me off. I am requesting a refund of the 30$ difference and the acceptable labor difference. Proof is below. read more

I was angry because I dropped my iPhone, creating a fracture in the screen. The hardware remains functional. It was only the cosmetic that irritated me. I need to repair my iPhone as soon as possible because my eyes are not pleased by the crack on the screen and this is the only location that can replace the screen for a fair price. Their office hours are rare, and they do not operate on weekends. I was forced to come in during my lunch break. When I arrived, I stated the problem to the technician, and he was so considerate that he was able to replace the screen in a timely manner. Our computer fan was not working properly. It sounded sluggish and began to make noises. Stopped at Zombie Techs on Oakton Street in DesPlaines with a recording of the fan sound. Within seconds of hearing the noise, Sebastian diagnosed and quoted a service estimate. Brought the computer in the following day, and was called later that day with exact diagnosis and cost. A part was overnighted and installed the next day. Picked up the unit the following day, and it is working perfectly. My laptop died abruptly in the middle of typing a document. I'm thinking disaster--unable to do my work for a day or more, possibly have to purchase a new one for $$$. I looked for the closest place that could run diagnostics. Is it a simple fix or is the machine toast? When I arrived, the store front was totally unimpressive--having doubts whether I came to the right place. Scott is the right person to talk to here at zombie techs. I decided to come here since I used to live in the area and always seen this establishment. There's a dime of repair shops all throughout the area, but this one is a bit different. They give you prices that are doable. I used to always go to cellfone md in niles and that place is a joke. The same service I needed which was to replace a screen on a Samsung s8. Scott quoted me a decent price versus the other guys. Almost twice as much at the other place. Like wow how can they charge that much for the same service. I think they love to stiff people. But here at zombie techs my experience was extremely pleasant. I'm thinking of returning with many other tech jobs for them to take care of. They will fix just about anything. **DO NOT TAKE YOUR COMPUTER HERE, THEY WILL GIVE IT BACK TO YOU WITHOUT IT BOOTING TO WINDOWS** So I could not install my video card into my computer, the firmware would not take on my computer. I took my computer to have it installed on 02/15/2020 The person there was very nice . They were able to install it and told me the motherboard bios needed to be updated. I have a video error 05/17/2020 and then the computer wont even boot up. I took it in the next day and the repair guy(SEBASTIAN) states we have to charge you again. They call me on the phone to tell me my motherboard is shot and what do I want to do. Then when I go pick up my computer Sebastian states it turns on but is stuck on the hp loop, go home and look up how to repair that on youtube. he considers it fixed because it turns on but without my graphics card. he stated it worked long enough (that was barely TWO Months). Also how is the motherboard shot when it boots up hp loop. So basically i paid for them to get my computer running with a graphics card and then paid again to have them tell me it doesn't work with graphics card. If you wish to get worst customer service do go there. They first over charge you and then when you are not satisfied with the service , they don't fix it . I went there to get an OS installed and RAM replacement for my laptop and they ended up creating another problem with the HDMi port since the OS had some software issues. ** DO NOT GO HERE FOR YOUR COMPUTER** , I took my computer in feb 15 2020 to have a graphics card installed. I tried installing but the drivers would not install. The guy who helped me then was awesome. Fast forward to 5/18/2020 my computer has an nvidia error which is part of the graphics controller and then won't boot up at all. SABASTIAN calls me and tells me it's the motherboard and that it's fried. It tell him no thanks and that I will pick up the computer, when I get the computer he states it boots to go loop without the graphics card and too look up on YouTube how to get out of it and boot to windows. So I paid 50 dollars to have graphics card and 50 to have it uninstalled and told to make it go to windows by myself also if motherboard is fried how is it still going to Hp loop. HORRIBLE PLACE CHARGED TWICE AND LEFT COMPUTER WORSE THAN when I first brought it in. By the way SABASTIAN 3 months is not a long time.
