A few examples: Screen is broken on a MacBook or you need a new battery, Macnician can fix it for a reasonable price very quickly. If your machine is not worth fixing, Brian will help recover your data and migrate it to a new Machine... and guess what, if you can't afford a Brand new Mac, Macnician has affordable refurbished Macs available with a warranty! If your machine has life left in it Brian will also take it on trade towards a replacement, or help recycle or donate it. Just need IT advice, Brian has it to share! Really disappointed in Macnician. We had a full house Ethernet system set up including a Ubiquiti. We were told at the time that the set up would include tech support as well. I have needed support maybe once a year but find it very difficult if not impossible to get answers and his rapport is very poor. read more

Took in two different older iMacs at different times to see if they could be kept running for a while longer, one of which would no longer boot. Brian was able to figure out the problem immediately on the one that wouldn't boot, and we were able to get both machines back the day after we took them in. The service was great!! Outstanding service. I had a noise that I thought might be the hard-drive failing on my older MacBook Pro. Took it to the Apple Store, and they said everything was fine, but didn't know what the problem could be. Brought to MACnician and they spotted the problem immediately. The fan was making the noise. After spending a frustrating hour with the Genius Bar I gave up and hauled my IMac to Macnician. The woman at the Apple store diagnosed my computer incorrectly and basically threw her hands up and said she couldn't help. As it turns out it wasn't a major repair. I came in for a class on Photos with my iMac only to discover my iOS was way out of date. After talking with Blair for a few minutes about what issues I was dealing with (more than just Photos), we decided to meet for individual help. I got my iOS updated at home and returned the next week to see Blair for an hour. I discussed the problems I was having with saving and organizing my photos, coordinating the family calendar, and missing music. I felt foolish for some of my problems and questions, but she never rolled her eyes or answered in a condescending manner. She treated me with respect and clarified what issues I was having or goals I was striving for, then straightened out my problems herself or gave me step by step instructions for how to fix bigger projects at home. I had thought I'd need to replace my desktop (late 2009), but Brian looked at my computer and explained he could increase my memory and install a newer processor for a couple hundred dollars (roughly $300- 350 I think depending on how much memory I added). That's a fraction of the price a new laptop or desktop would cost. I highly, highly recommend coming in to the Macnician. read more

If I could give them 100 stars I would!! My daughter had something spill on her MacBook while studying with a friend at Starbucks. It stopped working and would not power on. Of course she called me in a panic. I called MACnician at 5:55 right before closing time. Remy took the time to listen to my concern rather than rushing me on the call. He sounded optimistic they could fix it. I took it in the next day and he and Brian did their magic. Needless to say I have a very happy teenager and the repair was only $100!! Apple wanted a minimum of $300 to $800. Unfortunately the extended 3 year AppleCare we purchased two years did not offer accidental breakage or spillage at that time. We are extremely lucky to have MACnician so close by. They are the best!! I have been a HUGE fan of Macnician for years now, I have recommended them to every human that owns an iPhone but really for any Mac products, I recommend Macnician. This week, I had an experience that sealed the deal--my hard drive died on me with no warning (no warning that was apparent to me anyway). That was not the catastrophe (my iMac is hardly new), the catastrophe was inadequate backing up, by me. Despite a prognosis that my hard drive was failing from the Apple Store, the MACnicians took the time to do their own diagnosis and found it was actually the connecting cable attached to the hard drive that needed replacing - saving me hundreds of dollars on an unnecessary replacement.
