History
Established in 1999.
Monolith began during the dot-com boom, providing technology consulting and services to professional clients and entrepreneurs excited by the changes of a new age. All of us working then had been in the field since before the World Wide Web, and we found our passion making lives easier through technology.
After exclusively serving private and public sector business, we've expanded in every way, becoming a robust IT services and administration firm for business and now home users.
We're based around convenience, transparency, and customer care beyond the call of duty: capable, personal, onsite and offsite services featuring free pickup and delivery local to the Loop and beyond. Our helpful, friendly specialists, broad offerings, and emergency services are only a phone call away. We always come to you.
We simplify things. No matter the task: whether this is our first or fiftieth visit to your office or home, or if you've hired us as your IT staff, we're always here for you.
Meet the Business Owner: William R. G.
I can thank Mom for my early start.
When I was 10, she asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. My reply? An astronaut.
Okay. Keep dreaming, kid.
Never discouraging, she said, "Great! You should have skills to fall back on," and sent me to classes for the few things aside from books and my trusty NES that she knew I'd be interested in: a few sports, music, and technology.
After that, a lot of my time was spent in businesses and garages of entrepreneurs, hobbyists, and hackers. I had a lot of fun, drank in skills, and watched the Internet be born.
In my teens, I rose to be a government IT administrator. By my 20s, I was sought by Fortune 500 firms for my practical, humanistic approach to IT, and had co-founded Monolith. After serving as the IT executive for the US expansion of a global firm, I came back to my roots, and wonder why I ever left.
I'm looking forward to meeting you. I'm a hands-on owner, working alongside my team every day. I love my job, and it shows.
