    I was overjoyed when I found out Abesco is an authorized KitchenAid service center. Edward greeted me when I brought my stand mixer. After plugging it in and turning it on, he knew exactly what I, or the mixer, needed, a new gear! The owner, Dave, was personable and friendly. He made accommodations for me to wait while the mixer is being serviced which allowed me to explore the area and found a great Korean restaurant for lunch (see my review on Go Goo Ma Korean). Drop off is between 11 am to 3 pm, Monday through Friday. The fee was reasonable and service was thorough. Here are some tips when it comes to stand mixers: 1. ALWAYS use dough hook when mixing dough and stiff cookie dough and always keep the speed at MAXIMUM of #2 2. When it comes to dough, go slow 3. If you have liquids to add to the recipe, put them in the bowl first. It will lubricate the bottom of the bowl and reduce the start up friction 4. Start the mixer at stir speed and then slowly raise the bowl (or lower the head into the mixing bowl, depending on the model) 5. WHEN IN NEED, TAKE IT TO DAVE AT ABESCO

    Quick ck and friendly service. I had stripped a gear on my Kitchenaid stand mixer. It was fixed and ready to go on about 90 minutes.

    Dan's service was more than I expected when I brought in my KitchenAide stand mixer! Professional and quick repair. I will use Abesco again!

Century Electronics was located in the same plaza. My friends and I would go in the store and look at all the hifi stereo equipment. This was probably nearing the end of the HIFI stereo era which produced the best iconic stereo equipment of all time. Needless to say we were tolerated even tho we couldn't afford anything in the store. Fast forward 30 years. My collection of stereo equipment was all manufactured before I was born by a good decade. It's the type of equipment that you get fixed and will never ever see the bottom up a dumpster. The number of individuals still alive with the skill to service these units and restore them to their glory is dwindling every year that goes by. Century Electronics has not 1, but 2 old school techs that can fix anything from Marantz receivers, McIntosh tube amplifiers to speakers all made before the Vietnam war. They take pride in their work and preserve quality by refusing to use cheap Chinese capacitors and other inferior parts. This is the only place I will take my equipment. Don't expect to walk in for the ABT style showroom with 100k of product. The back room repair shop is where it's at here.

    Several months ago, I placed an order and it took almost 2 weeks to get delivered. I got an email…read moreconfirmation of the shipping address and amount charged, but not what was coming and there was no tracking. It didn't even tell me when to expect my order (the site didn't offer that info either). We got what we ordered and they worked out just fine. Based on my recent order, I think they got lucky. 8 days ago I needed to restock my mom's supply since it helped her quit smoking cigarettes. I went to the site and she asked me about getting e-liquid for a vaporizer I'd given her to try and to check the disposables. Many of the products on the site do not list the nicotine content. I sent them a "contact us" message on the site and called the 800 number and got no response. I placed the order for the e-cig cartridges since those did show nicotine content. When I got the confirmation email, I noticed that I, or they, mixed up the shipping and billing information. I called and left a message. Then I sent a "contact us" message through the website. Then I tried to message their page on Facebook. Then I tried responding to the confirmation email which also went to their customer service email address (the only one I have for them). 8 days later I had called a dozen times and sent several messages through the other means. No response. I got my package today and the order was wrong. They added an extra box (i'm guessing because they knew the order was wrong), but that's not going to fly. This company has no customer service whatsoever. There are thousands of companies online and in-store where you can buy products and return them if you are dissatisfied. I have never made a purchase from a company that didn't have some kind of customer resolution. I was going to reverse the charge on my card, but we ordered 4 boxes for 3 different people and all of them need it. I will never do business with Elektro again. If you want to give business to a company that shuns its customers, this is the company for you.

As soon as we walked into the store, an employee offered us a promotion: 15% back after applying for the store credit card and making the first purchase. It sounded like a good deal. We waited for assistance, and then Sohan came over. We looked at the iPhone options, and once I made my decision, I decided to apply for the store credit card to take advantage of the promotion. I have a strong credit score, so I believed one inquiry would be worth it. I was going to apply myself, but Sohan said he would handle it, which I agreed to. He then processed the application and said he needed to call the bank. While supposedly handling my application, he was on the phone watching videos and scrolling through social media on his personal phone. After a few minutes, he told me I had been approved for the Best Buy Gold Card with an annual fee. I immediately asked why, since that was not the card I applied for. He said that was "what the bank told him." At that point, I became very concerned because none of it made sense. I was applying for the regular store credit card, not a Gold Card with fees attached. Instead of giving a proper explanation, Sohan carelessly responded, "Do you want it or not?" I said no and was understandably upset. Another employee approached and asked what happened. After I explained the situation, he admitted there are different card options during the application process and asked Sohan if he had explained those options to us beforehand. Sohan admitted he had not. He apologized, but by then claimed there was nothing they could do because "it was the bank's decision." I then asked for a manager. This is absolutely unacceptable. A Best Buy employee made a careless mistake and damaged my credit in a matter of seconds. Then Jonny, the supervisor, came over and was even more dismissive. He simply repeated that there was nothing they could do and that I needed to contact the bank myself. I told him that Best Buy caused the problem, so Best Buy should be the one contacting the bank to correct it. Again, I was told there was nothing they could do. Furious, I continued with my purchase only because I had already wasted enough time. This entire experience was ridiculous, unprofessional, and unacceptable. Best Buy needs employees who are properly trained in customer service and competent enough to complete something as basic as a credit card application. I have completed many credit applications before, and I am not naive enough to believe the excuses I was given. My credit score is now going to suffer after years of hard work, all because of the incompetence and negligence of one of your employees.
