I've been coming back to this shop multiple times with my Porsche, and every single visit has confirmed that I made the right choice. From the very first experience, I was so happy with the service that I didn't hesitate to return, and they've been consistently excellent every time. Their customer service is outstanding: professional, attentive, and truly focused on the client. They take the time to explain everything clearly, are honest about what's needed, and make the entire process smooth and stress-free. It's rare to find a shop where you feel this level of trust and care. They've handled my car with great expertise and attention to detail, and it's clear they take pride in their work. If you're looking for a place you can rely on, especially for a high-end car, this shop is it. I highly recommend them and will continue to come back. read more

Had a backup camera and radio installed for an older car and they did a great job. Was priced a little higher than other places but had no issues and they were able to complete the work on time. Give them a call! read more

Where do I even begin with this place... The staff here pays attention to the smallest details--the ones most people miss--and that's what separates good from exceptional. When you're spending serious money on your car, perfection shouldn't be optional. Mercedes has Brabus. Chicago has Rays Electronics If you want to truly turn your car out, bring it here. No shortcuts. No comparisons. Nobody else comes close. Cars, boats, mindset--whatever you're pushing, this guy gives it aura. read more

Went here to get an aftermarket radio installed along with new door speakers/ tweeters. They installed the door speakers which sound awful above half volume. I went to Best Buy and found out that Rays didn't install the cross overs. When I initially asked Rays what the issue was, they had suggested it was because I still have a stock amplifier. Wish a new amp was mentioned before an almost $1400 bill. Not to mention, the "2 hour" install took all day (10am - 7pm). If you're looking for a car audio installation, I recommend looking into Best Buy's Total Tech Support service. read more

I don't understand why the reviews are so low - Ray's is awesome! Everyone is super friendly, and as a car guy myself, I love that they have such a cool stock that you can take a look at. Prices feel quite fair and service is quick. I got a new CarPlay radio installed, and the car was in and out in less than 4 hours. Works and sounds great! Will definitely be going back the next time I need electronics work done. read more

ZERO STARS ! When this place was at Ray's Electronics, 19W326 Lake St, Addison, IL Inside looked like a flea market but my greeting from Ray was "Hi Buddy" come on in and will take care of you ,I Said well they been around for awhile and I didn't know where else to go . Had a pair of component speakers installed in my doors ,Took them 8 hours , They dropped and cracked my door panel . I got into my car noticed it right away , went right back told them about it and the owner Ray goes "You can Sue me" , Just straight out "Sue Me " He goes on to say ... "you won't win" , and then says "I always win" ,followed by "Many have tried and I always win" followed by "Ok Buddy" . A WTF! moment ! Has anyone ever heard such a thing . He didn't even deny they cracked the door panel . I just walked out and felt I was just in a "twilight zone" episode . At the very least it would have been nice to give the part of my door they cracked off back to see if I could somehow crazy glue it together . Now this is what I have been looking at for 7 years in the picture I have attached. Yes it took me 7 years to write this review as I tried to forget about it till I just ran across my receipt the other day . Better late then never ! read more

Ray's Electronics - Car Stereo Installation Near Me - Glendale Heights, Illinois

Went to get advice on new stereos for 2 cars and they said I would be better off going somewhere else. The Mgr. Accused me of swearing as soon as I got there and assumed I couldn't afford their services. I had a$3500.00 budget to spend with them but, I would never set foot in that place again! Fck you Ray's electronics!!!!! read more

I needed to replace my Cadillac Cue screen due to touch screen failure as a result of the delamination problem with cloudy screen with spider web pattern. They were able to install a replacement the same day I called for an appointment. Easy to work with and straight forward with a very reasonable fixed charge. They have pride in their work even with smaller jobs such as this. When I picked up my car at the end of the day they still wanted to give me a tour of their shop and the many custom projects they are working on. I was very impressed with their work and would highly recommend contacting them for any job large or small - better yet stop by and see for yourself and talk to them about your project. read more

They relocated to 399 Wall St in Glendale Heights and is a family owned business for the last 40 years. If you want tints, speakers a new radio or expert advice this is the place to go. They were able to take care of me right away and finish the job in under two hours!!! It is by appointment only so I believe I was lucky calling on a Wednesday afternoon. Sean answered my call, got me in right away and didn't try to sell me things I didn't need. It was a great experience and I highly recommend Rays Electronics over tint world and other pop up places. read more

Took my 2008 Honda Accord to Ray's to have a sony unit installed. Service was awesome just took them an afternoon and I picked up this morning, I'm so happy with the install! I 100% recommend them if you need a stereo installed! read more

Ray's Electronics - Car Stereo Installation Near Me - Glendale Heights, Illinois

I'd go somewhere else. Called them for a quote and they said they had way to many options for car starters. Rude employees that have no customer service so I can only imagine how they work with cars. No parking on the lot so I had to park far and walk there to find out that they literally only have two options. Wasted my time because they didn't want to explain it on the phone. read more

Shaun and his team were exceptional. The communication was excellent. All work was performed as promised-the install looks perfect and performance is outstanding. I had quite a few questions regarding using a perviously installed unit that were answered honestly. I chose to purchase a new unit as the used one was not going to work as I wanted. Shaun was patient and explained everything. The work was completed within a few hours and we were given instructions on the operation of the Kenwood. My family and I have a couple of other auto- electronic projects that we will sure to have Ray's be involved with. Thanks Shaun. Phil read more

To Jeffery below: Nope, not the owner, my c300 is BLACK, and I work in the city, not to mention I spelled his name "Shaun", but way to make assumptions! That sucks your speaker broke down but I feel like your leaving something out of your story as even the crappiest places will take a look at something they JUST installed that supposedly broke your speakers. read more

Rays is a great place. They always take care of me. I've had interior and exterior LED's, a new head unit and remote start installed. I will be coming back to have them put in a back up camera. I think it's easy to have a bad experience when you're dealing with something as personal as your car, but I've had nothing but good experiences with Ray's. If you have had a bad experience, you should consider giving them another chance. read more

All I have to say is that I am super impressed by Shaun and his team. I always check out reviews and make sure to read the ones that actually received a service. My search began when my wife started complaining about the remote start not working on her BMW, we previously had it installed by ANOTHER shop and they had left wires hanging and clips on moldings broken. I made an appointment with Shaun and told him the problems I was experiencing, he did tell me to come in for a quote since there were some aftermarket parts already in there, completely understandable, since fixing someone else work is always the hardest. I was impressed with the showroom and how much of the product he had in stock. I was given a quote for almost $470 less than the other place I stopped by at, I left my car there that day and took an Uber home. They told me it would most likely take about 2 days with programming the car and making sure everything worked as it should. To our surprise they called the next day saying everything was finished and the car was ready for pickup. When my wife and I arrived it was like sitting in a different car, they had fixed all the mistakes and helped secure some panels that were previously damaged. Wife was thrilled about the remote starter working, and I was thrilled that it did not empty my wallet. Its been about a month and a half and everything works perfect. Thank you Shaun and your excellent team, we will be back soon with another car for you. Keep up the great work and customer service and you will keep on succeeding. We also loved the Rover and Lambo you were working on when we came to pick up our car. If you want the job done right take it to Rays -K&R read more

Excellent work, the person in charge of installing it was very courteous, both the people who at first attended me very friendly, if there was something I did not like about the installation, but they immediately fixed the problem, thank you, I recommend this place twice I've been to this place and I'm satisfied !! read more

I cannot say enough about Ray's. I called up to inquire about a replacement Cadillac Cue screen, and they were able to fit me in right away and complete the replacement on the same day. Showed up Saturday morning to ask some questions. Saturday afternoon I was picking up my truck with new speakers that Shaun helped me land on. The install is flawless, the sound is out of this world, the price was the best I've found, and the crew at Rays makes you feel like you've been there 100 times already even if it's your first time there. Not only recommend Rays but it's now the only place I'll go read more

Went here a few weeks back to get an aftermarket radio installed along with some new door speakers and tweeters. A friend recommended them to me so I assumed the service would be higher than my expectations. I was wrong. They installed the door speakers which sound awful when it's higher than 50% volume. When I went to another shop to figure out the issue, they noticed that Rays hadn't installed the cross overs! This was crazy to me because when I asked them what the issue was, they had suggested it was because I still have a stock amplifier. Very poor sound for an almost $1400 bill. They are very over priced for the crappy service they provide and they only make money by ripping off their customers. I wouldn't recommend Ray Electronics to anyone. On top of it all, the "2 hour" installation took virtually all day! (10am to 7pm). If you're looking for a car audio installation, I recommend looking into Best Buy's Total Tech Support service. read more

I go through a new car about once a year and every time I get something I bring the vehicle there to have all different types of sound and lighting work done. If there was a zero star i would rate it zero. I called in asking for a price for LED headlights. I called earlier and i was quoted $125.00, when i called back i simply asked the guy the same question followed by what brand are they? He quoted me $175.00 and he had no clue the brand. I asked him why is the price different then when i called a few minutes ago. He became very rude and started raising his voice. When i asked why there was no branch and how do i know what i am paying for, he said what do you want me to do put a sticker on it that says Ray's so you know what your buying. Seeing the other reviews that are out there i would NOT recommend this place to anyone. They have a very bad personality. If you don't like your job get the F--- out of it and stop being an A-- to people. There are others out there who actually want a job. read more
