I found out from a reputable company. , They didn't fix it. They replaced the original mechanism which was wind up with a new battery operated mechanism . That's not what I wanted. I want the original to be fixed. There's nothing I can do about it now the old mechanism is gone. It needed a new strap. I told them what I want. They chose the strap and put it on. The first one didn't fit. I brought it back They exchanged it. The second one didn't fit either I'll be bringing it in for an exchange. In the meantime, the crown fell off the watch. Luckily, I found it. I'll be bringing it in for that to be put back on. I also brought in my gold Tag watch for repairs. The issue with that one was also the crown. They replaced the crown with what they said was a tag crown. It still was not working I could not change the time. In order to change the day and time you have unscrew it then pull out the crown twice a little bit for the time then a little bit more for the date. I brought it back in. It was still under the year warranty. They sent it out to their watchmaker again. It came back with a different crown. The new crown second one was way too big. It was obvious when you looked at it. It barely fits in the opening, and you still cannot unscrew it then pull it out to change the time and date. I happen to be in Las Vegas I had the watch with me I was brought it to Tourneau, for those who don't know , that is one of the most reputable Swiss watch companies there is. They looked at my watch, of course said I should've brought it to an authorized tag dealer. Lark's watch repair did such a poor job. They said there were two screws missing on the inside. The crown was the totally wrong one for my watch and it had not been resealed and was very susceptible to getting water in it . overall lark did a terrible job on my Tag and I feel scammed me on my Clinton. I had paid $200 for the original repairs for the Tag . I don't remember what I paid for the Clintons " repair "bringing it to an authorized tag dealer probably would've cost me $500 to $700. I am now passed the one year warranty date. I'll be bringing both watches back in hoping to get my $200 back, so I can have the money to send it to somebody who knows how to fix a Tag watch. I'm sure they can replace the crown on the Clinton, but nothing can change my disappointment that there is a modern mechanism inside my vintage watch.

STAY AWAY!!! DO NOT WORK WITH THIS CROOK !!! I'm extremely disappointed in George Dosis and would caution anyone considering buying from them to STAY AWAY!!! Whoever does business with him will be dealing with a crook! I'm a wholesaler who made the mistake of doing business with George who left me with a large open invoice. I have been chasing him for years to pay back what he owes. Dosis Jewelers credibility in our industry has been destroyed significantly and no other wholesalers wish to work with them. DO NOT work with this crook because he is untrustworthy ,dishonest and will steal from you like he stole from me.please feel free to contact me if you have any questions , I will be happy to share my experience with George. We love George !!! He and my hubby designed my engagement ring 26 years ago... put it on a tree and never looked back! When it came to the wedding band- I worked with him , again custom, and he had great ideas with the presence of the setting angle and even a tab set inside one to hold them together. Still only go to him for major cleanings and returned last year to upgrade middle diamond ( like it needed it ). Compliments everyday on it! Still love wearing it ! We've also bought Movado watches, cufflinks, bracelets and necklaces from him. Recommend him to employees and friends. Good people like this become family. I went on Thursday because that is when the specialist (Collin I think was his name) was there who could evaluate the ring and offer me a price. He said hello and asked if I had an idea of what I wanted. I didn't want to give any information to him because I wanted to see what he said. The man took my ring, disappeared in the back for five minutes, came back out and said diamonds had gone down in value and he could only offer me $50, but would give me $150 for the gold rings. I said thank you and left, suspecting the ring was worth more. I then went to Marry Me Jewelers in Countryside. Gino Senior invited me to sit down, educated me on the 4 C's, involving me in the evaluation process and then offered me a very fair price (several hundreds higher!) for the diamond ring. I will never go back to Cottage Hill simply because I felt so dismissed and disrespected. I have shopped there before and loved the other employees/jewelry (including a beautiful amethyst necklace they designed for me) -but this condescending employee has changed my mind about Cottage Hill forever. How disappointing! Do better.
