These days, I understand why a jeweler wouldn't want to have a lot of stock - robberies or the cost of goods being high, it really doesn't make sense to have much in stock. But, they do have a lot of catalogs you can review, and he will order anything you want. More so, I trust them. When we went to sell our gold coins, they were US Coins, proof. They said he would buy them by weight, but we would probably get more from a coin dealer. They could have just given us the money and marked up the coins, but they didn't. That earned my trust and my business.

I'm grateful she did, because the stone could have easily fallen out had I not noticed the issue. She also took the time to show me the damage and explain the issue. The work was performed in a timely manner (within a couple weeks) and all the rings look great now. I don't normally have jewelry work done, so I can't compare their prices. The cost to resize a gold wedding band, repair the setting in a diamond ring, and polish 3 gold rings was about $170. If I have more jewelry work to have done, I'd go back.

I asked for recommendations on a local jeweler and Laura's name came up a few times, as well as being incredibly conveniently located (5 minutes from home!). I called for an appointment and scheduling was easy. For my appointment, I came in and was greeted warmly, and then she got to work. I was BLOWN AWAY by her expertise, as well as her catching 2 smaller diamonds on my band and halo missing. I had planned on "shopping around" and getting quotes, but after just 5 minutes, I knew there was no way I would find anything better. Due to the cut of my diamond, she needed to get some different sizes in and I knew this would take some time. When the first batch wasn't right, she had new ones overnighted so I wouldn't have to wait longer. The second batch was beautiful, and I even upgraded my center diamond. Off it was whisked to get fixed and when I got the call it was ready, I wasted absolutely NO TIME getting to the store to pick it up. Upon pickup, I felt like I had just gotten engaged all over again. I could not stop staring at it, and needed my husband to drive home so I could continue staring at it in the sun. It was beautiful work, and I was so pleased with the results. I found that the pricing to replace my diamonds and get my ring fixed was very reasonable compared to my research online, as well as the timeline to have everything taken care of. I came to Jjanusz Custom Jewelry Design with an idea and John was able to bring it to life while Joyce was able to find ways to work within our budget. The idea was to meld two differnt cultural designs into a single design...a symbolic unity of 2 very different people :-) John started out by asking questions and offering ideas as a way of easing into a direction. The process was painless and the result was a ring that has meaning and can be passed on to our kids...an heirloom piece. Quite unique, unpretensious and beautiful. Joyce worked with us to keep the price in our wheelhouse by giving us options in design and also allowing us to bring in jewelry that we were no longer attached to so that the gold could be used...a way of keeping the price to reflect only the design and artistic craftmanship provided. We could not be more happy with this process. The process started with an initial consultation to allow us to express what we wanted and them to make sure they understood as well as to provide other ideas. The next step was for John to produce design drawings, meet with us to review and modify until we came to a consensus. After we commited to a design John worked creates the wax ring for casting. Considerable work, time and meetings have gone into the process thus far and it shows aswe can see this beautiful ring coming to life. Once the wax ring is aproved John goes into the process of producing the final product and getting it ready for the final meeting and approval. The result is a keepsake that you can't by in your typical jewelry store. Gorgeous.
