Truly Outstanding Service and Warranty I purchased this Reliance 50 gallon hot water heater about eight years prior with a nine year warranty covering both parts and labor . Unfortunately due to water and environmental conditions the bottom rusted and leaked, necessitating replacement. Abt could not have been more helpful, in this time of need. The Abt office (Nathan) immediately and fully addressed the situation. The Abt plumbers delivered fast and truly excellent replacement with a new Reliance 50 gallon hot water heater and installed all the necessary copper pipe, valves and fittings---including full labor at no charge. The plumbers (Russell Cartwright and Tyler Fite) installing the unit were very meticulous and highly competent in every detail. They also were extremely helpful and courteous. I have used Abt exclusively for over forty years and recommended their products and service to numerous other home owners--no one has been disappointed. I called in to purchase a gas dryer and an oven part; I would have been the easiest sale of the day. The appliance salesman proudly explained he could not order my part for me. The Sales Department and Parts Department are NOT Cross Trained! The GM gave me the Provence of the part - not how much or when I can get it. It's been a while since my last visit, and this time, we came to visit their furniture department, and it was the first time for this department. I'm starting to look around for a replacement swivel-recliner and found via some internet searching that Abt carried some. I had no idea the department was so large and that they had so much inventory of various furniture. In the last year they have expanded to 30,000 ft2 according to Jessica who was the helpful, knowledgeable, and pleasant staffer we encountered. Though I didn't buy, it was a useful and interesting visit, and they had some good offerings at good prices, but just not the right color. Appliance shopping is almost as painful as car shopping. And I dislike both. I've purchased almost every appliance and tv in my house from Abt. I've been in my house long enough to replace the appliances I bought previously. Since most places that used to sell appliances no longer exist, I feel Abt is the lesser of the evils, better selection and employee knowledge than the big box stores. I don't usual have a positive shopping experience at Abt. I'm mostly ignored and always have to ask someone to help me. I only go to Abt when I need to purchase something so it's ridiculous no one approaches me. Luckily my most recent visit was a positive one. I had to buy a new dryer and didn't know which one to buy. Rodolfo Alvarez was the sales rep that APPROACHED me. Rodolfo was kind and a great listener, I told him what was important to me and he showed me my options. He helped me settle on a LG dryer that I wasn't expecting to choose, but based on what was important to me, fit my requirements the best. Another couple was listening in and based on what he said, I think they decided to go with the same one. I felt bad he couldn't help us both since he should have gotten credit for the other sale as well. I told Rodolfo next time I need something at Abt, I'm calling him. Five stars for Rodolfo! I bought a LG washer and dryer from ABT. A couple of days after the installation I noticed scratches on top of both machines. I called ABT repair service. They said there it was not covered under warranty because it was cosmetic. A technician was out from Abt to look at my brand new dishwasher that was not drying properly. I asked him to look at the washer and dryer. He said it was an easy fix and I should ask for service. I called service again and they said I would have to pay more than $600 for the new tops. Abt has been our go-to store for appliances for many years now. We replaced a pair of washer and dryer before we sold our old house years ago. For the house we are living in now, we have purchased another pair of washer and dryer and a dishwasher a decade ago, a built-in wall oven and microwave two years ago, and now another dishwasher, after the previous Bosch dishwasher started leaking. We had also bought several dehumidifiers over the years. We liked our Bosch dishwasher that had functioned well for 10 years, so we decided to get the same brand, the only difference is changing from a 500 series to an 800 series. We researched pricing in advance to understand what would be fair, and then headed to Abt. This was an easy transaction for Brandonn, the salesman we met at Abt this time. All the salesmen that we had encountered at Abt over the years had been professional and helpful. Brandonn was no exception; he knew the Bosch dishwashers well, and pointed out several new features that the 800 series had to offer. When asked, he even gave us a small additional discount, that made our shopping experience even better. In fact, Abt would match or beat a lower price if you happen to find it, that makes the customers' confidence in Abt even stronger. All the Abt installation crews had been polite and professional too. This time, Michael and his partner arrived within the estimated time frame, and did a good job removing the old dishwasher and installing a new one. Both the salesman and the technician said that the Bosch dishwashers only last for 7 to 10 years nowadays (already better than most dishwashers), and they were manufactured in the USA instead of Germany. It's unfortunate that manufacturers make their products last a shorter time in order to sell more products. I have my fingers crossed that this new dishwasher would last for at least another decade! I have to mention that Abt has a truly gigantic showroom. it's impressive to see such a wide range of appliances and electronics all in one place, including the latest trends across every category. Beyond the main showroom is an airy atrium that has a colorful dancing fountain, lush orchids, and a $59,999 first Transparent 4K TV in display, amount other smaller specialty showrooms. It's an inviting space where you could easily spend a couple of hours simply enjoying the pleasant, engaging environment. We are happy to have the convenience of having Abt close to home. read more

01/04/25 - Every time I go to ABT I can't help but feel like I'm an adult in a candy store. Before you even go in the parking lot is full requiring that you drive around until someone leaves. They have everything at this store from small appliance, large appliances, electronic items, oven, stoves washers, dryers.....this is like total sensory overload with everything & anything you could want or need. The world is your oyster. The only issue is some of these oysters can be very expensive & many can be within your budget. I never seem to get enough of this store but I feel like I'm being teased w/so many toys. So much sensory overload of items that make you salivate. There home sound systems are simply amazing. Ahhh alas the reason for going here was to shop for a new washer & dryer. My washer has been leaking water for a while & my dryer sounds like there's a body thumping around inside. I guess it's time to open the wallet & but a replacement. What an amazing store w/so many toys. ABT has clearly gotten too big and too cocky for it's own good. We have purchased EVERYTHING from them in the past and were always very pleased. Called today to get a replacement knob for a gas range purchased in 2023 WITH a 5 YEAR ABT WARRANTY and was told - too bad - so sad, that will be $69 plus tax plus shipping for a replacement. Branching out from all my previous Abt appliance purchases by impulse purchasing a TV on Christmas Eve, because why not? My bedroom TV (a Vizio) still technically worked but was so old that it couldn't support the native Netflix app anymore and never worked with AirPlay. I had to use a Roku stick, which was annoying for many reasons. I figured Christmas sales would be a good time to buy a TV, and somehow decided Christmas Eve would be a great day to do it. I hadn't really looked into options much other than another Vizio (I have a larger, newer one in my living room and like it well enough). After looking into a bit more, I decided a 32" Samsung 1080p would be a good option. Abt had one on sale for $127, which was $2 less than Best Buy. I was in the area anyway doing other errands so I came here. It was packed, as expected the day before Christmas, but I was able to flag down a salesperson who showed me where the TV was on display so I could see it in action. A few minutes later I had paid and then a few minutes after that I picked it up from the merch pickup area and was schlepping it out to my car. There are some things I don't love about the TV itself (picture is great, but the controls are funky. The cursor jumps around and is both too sensitive and not sensitive enough, and the Samsung UI layout is just stupid and poorly designed lol), but it may just be a learning curve going to the Samsung. I'm going to continue to test it out, but if I end up deciding to return it, I guess I'll find whether returns are easy to do. read more

Got me a tech out within 24 hours to give us a quote for a new air conditioner during the June 30 heat wave. Abt was more affordable than our first quote and used a safer way to get the condenser on our rooftop (crane). Appreciated Sabino (tech) and Orest + team (installers) for their explanations and quality of work. It was a bit chaotic during that week, some wires got crossed between the office and the field staff, but nothing serious. We had rquested a quote from Abt after having positive experiences with dishwasher and refrigerator purchases and installation. Only reason we didn't call them first is because I wasn't aware if they have a 24 hour call line on Sunday midnight when our AC first went out. I purchased a G.E. dishwasher a couple of years ago from ABT store. I was cleaning dishwasher and noticed the upper rack with I never use was rusting and dripping on my clean dishes below. I went to ABT store and should them the pictures, they said they would reach out to G.E. The response from G.E. was the warranty expired in 2024. I ordered a fridge from Abt. I chose a fridge partially based on when their website said it could be delivered, as I needed the fridge quickly. So I pay for the fridge, and the delivery keeps getting delayed. After being brushed off several times, I told them I needed the fridge already. They couldn't give me the new fridge I paid for at any point in the foreseeable future, they told me, but there was a similar fridge available. Long story short, they gave me a used, defective fridge that keeps breaking down. And after I called to have it repaired, it was suggested to me that I could fix it myself; I was then given instructions on how to do so.
