We had our knives sharpened again this week, and once again, they were done beautifully at a very fair price. I've always brought in a range of knives, from very good quality to pathetically cheap, and they have always taken good care of them all. No judgment or attitude about bringing in less fancy knives. Now that they are in the larger space, it's even more enjoyable to browse at the vast supply of kitchen gadgets while waiting for knives to be sharpened.

My experience is that when I have an issue, it is up to me, as the customer, to do the work to resolve the problem. I have had extensive issues regarding my initial visit on August 18. I have been waiting for: 1. Receipt from an item that was not originally charged, which I called attention to and paid, 2. A call from the Regional Manager to discuss issues surrounding my last 2 purchases. 3. Replacement items/ update from corporate per their request to contact them. Regional Director contacted on 9/2. The new set lasted less than three months and one stopped working. I took it back and they swapped it for another model as they no longer carried the original. The store, the manager, and the website refused to do anything because their storecdid not complete any paperwork on the original exchange. I'm very pleased and thus far, I've cut avocado, broccoli and chicken breast, and hot dogs (from Omaha steaks - but that's a different review) using an assortment of knives - dang, be careful!! It was a gift and means a lot to me, so I was nervous about trusting it to someone else. They did a fantastic job. I later brought in a couple of additional knives. Rather than automatically sharpening my chef's knife, the technician explained that it was still sharp enough and that removing more metal was unnecessary. He identified a burr that was making it feel duller than it actually was, removed it at no charge, and sharpened my other knife. That honesty and care made me feel very comfortable. This is now my go-to place for knife sharpening.

We were a bit skittish about redoing the rest of the bathrooms, but after meeting George at Kitchen & Bath Mart, we immediately trusted him. George did not disappoint. He (and Joe) thoughtfully designed two beautiful bathrooms, which perfectly matched two showers that they didn't even put in. George was unfailingly prompt, reliable, thorough and professional, every step of the way. George, Joe and Dennis kept us updated, started our project exactly when they said they would, and helped to create two bathrooms that felt like luxury at a very reasonable cost. The construction team, headed by Shaun, was as professional, prompt, courteous, and detail-oriented as George and his team. Shaun and his team were even able to help us with much-needed drywall and paint repairs in our home, which were not part of our original project. We are forever grateful to Kitchen & Bath Mart! A few weeks later I came back with my knife. They decided to send it to the factory in NYC. I didn't have to pay for the shipping if I pick it up from the store again when it is ready. I have been getting uodates via email about the progress. When it arrived at the Cutco site it was only a few days after when I received email update stating it's being sent back. I'm thrilled that this shop has the sheaths. They weren't available when I got my knives back in 2010. Love that sheaths prizes are affordable. I've been fully satisfied with my Cutco knives: 7" santoku, cheese, serated slicer and cleaver. Had them for more than 16 years. The staff here have been helpful and friendly.

We are overall happy with the way the shower turned out, but there were a few things that left me…read morefeeling less than satisfactory. After reviewing the scope of the project, it was estimated that it would take a week and a half to complete. Not only did it take over a month to eventually complete, the days that the team would work were unpredictable. On several occasions, as the team would leave for the day, they would tell us they will be back tomorrow, and then not show up. Or, they wouldn't be able to tell us when they would come next, and would surprise us a few days later. They ended up needing to complete this project after I had delivered my baby (original timeline would've been completed weeks prior to my due date). Additionally, we noticed there were a few design decisions that were made without consulting us, like the drywall of the shower/re-installation of the water gauge (it's now not flush with the wall and very loose) and the selection of tile at the base of the shower that doesn't match the floor. He had offered to come fix the water gauge, but after coming to look at the issue, he has not gotten back to us in 5 weeks. I had high hopes for this project, and while it still looks nice, the lack of communication made it really difficult to want to recommend Peter or use his team again for future projects.
