The two guys who showed up were friendly and polite. They didn't waste my time or try to sell me on an expensive repair job. They just told me it would be cheaper to replace the dryer than fix it and oh, by the way, to stay away from that brand that the home's previous occupant loved so much. Mike from this company entered our home displaying rudeness and aggression, adamantly refusing to engage with me and insisting on speaking only to my husband when I sought clarification about the prescribed repair. Without even inspecting our dryer, he asserted that I required over $300.00 worth of repairs. When I questioned his basis for this diagnosis, he simply cited his 25 years of experience. Furthermore, the service call fee initially quoted over the phone differed from the amount Mike demanded upon completing the repair. Were it not for our urgent need for repairs, we would have promptly requested their departure.I reached out to the company afterward, and they indicated they had never received such feedback previously. Give the the estimate up front and will not only tell you if it should be fixed, but offers recommendations of what to buy based on their repair history. We had a very bad experience here with a refrigerator repair. After a first visit and part replacement failed to fix the problem, the technician returned and was (in our opinion) hostile and confrontational about the fact that his prior fix had not worked. We had a problem with the install of our Bosch dishwasher from ABT that was done about 2 years ago. My dishwasher was moving inside the space underneath my counter. Based on the reviews from Magic Appliance I decided to give them a call. And Vlad was here same day! He is so friendly and absolutely knows his stuff. They used the wrong mounts to secure the unit in place which was causing it to move. Vlad was literally here maybe 15 minutes and was able to fix the problem. He's definitely knowledgeable. Don't even think about this place, very bad service. When you call they will be nice and come to your home and temporary patch it and say its all good now and then give you 30 days warranty and when you call them they will argue about the warranty and after arguments they send someone and the guy comes in and say that you cant do anything and when I said that thats not what last repairman said and the Tech said he no longer works, this happens to me and with my friend as well. Since ABT is such a trainwreck now, we needed to find a new appliance service company. ABT cancelled on us and set the new appointment for a week later. I called these guys at 8 in the morning on a Friday. By Noon our dishwasher was fixed! What was the issue? I called the company because my dryer stopped drying clothes. I was given the cost for the tech to diagnose problem. She told me since the tenants are the ones in the house to have them schedule the appointment. For some reason I the owner was not able to schedule it. I was ok with that at the time. OK, tech arrived and contacted me to advise me of the issue, he told me he had the part available in his truck. I went ahead and agreed to fix the dryer. Then he asked whom would pay for the service I advised him I would. He started to argue with me stating that my tenats had to pay. I was a bit taken aback with such a ridiculous argument. I advised him that it was my home I decided how I want to handle the monies of whom pays. He said the office would call me in 3 seconds. I didn't want to wait so I called the office and the lady I originally spoke to answered. I advised her of the issue and also stated that she gave me a different price for tech to go out and diagnose the issue and now it's higher, she no it's $$ I. I didn't press it because I was annoyed and wanted to be done with them. She apologized for the misunderstanding with the tech. She also stated she doesn't know why the tenants called to schedule the appointment. I was seriously done, I told her the reason the tenants called to schedule the appointment was because that us what you told me had to be done. She had nothing to say. The only reason I agreed for them to continue with the work was because I didn't want to look for someone else I just wanted it fixed. I will not be using them AGAIN! They give you one price for tech to go out and then it changes once tech is there. The communication issues also another mayor reason I will not be using them again. Had an issue with a Fisher Paykel dishwasher and most companies said they wouldn't touch it. I called Magic and had an appointment scheduled for the next day. Vlad showed up, took apart the dishwasher and noticed that the issue was actually at the valve. So, he put the dishwasher back together, got to work on the valve, and a couple of minutes later we had a nice water flow. He also gave me a couple of tips on how to properly clean the dishwasher and, even after leaving, came back to my door to give me another tip about my piping. Replaced a $30.00 part on my oven in less than 45 minutes and was charged $257.00 when I said to the man that he has this hourly wage is unfair I was told he works fast because he is experienced and others would take longer, this is why the price was so high! I so rarely have had this kind of stellar experience that I had to write a review. Vlad showed up the same day I called to repair our refrigerator. He truly went above and beyond - showing us some potential issues that we may need to address in the near future and patiently walking us through the ways to solve them. He also mentioned that our type of fridge has an alert on it since 2008, when there was a child that was playing with the fridge and it tipped over and killed him. Then he helped us to put the proper childproofing steps on to make it tip-proof. Truly above and beyond in his service - and could not have been nicer. I called Magic based on Yelp. They had a tech (Ed) come out the next day, inside the time window they promised, to diagnose a problem with my Thermador double oven. He was friendly, knowledgable, helpful, and very professional. He went through very logical steps to diagnose the issue (I'm an engineer) and came to a decent solution for which part needed to be replaced. His fee was very reasonable for the diagnosis and will be applied to the quote he gave me should I choose to proceed (the control board part is quite expensive, so I may replace instead of repairing the oven). I would use Magic again without hesitation. read more

Long story here, but basically we had two appointments with Magic Appliance. First Appointment - Technician came to our house to diagnose the problem that was causing our dishwasher to leak. This was done in about an hour and the cause was a leaky seal on our appliance. The replacement part was ordered. Second Appointment - Same technician came to install part. Installation took about 1.5 hours. After the installation the dishwasher was still leaking. The technician worked for another hour and found the true cause of the leak to be several small pin holes in the floor of the dishwasher. The holes were tiny and unless you were underneath the appliance with all the insulation removed you would have not seen the leaking water coming through. Ordinarily this is where the repair company would get one star, but Magic Appliance handled it the right way. They apologized for the incorrect diagnostic, offered to try and seal the leaking pinholes, with the understanding that they couldn't guarantee the work (basically there were several small holes, the area gets a lot of heat due to the drying mechanism and he didn't feel right about saying that the sealant would work for the long term). We decide against putting additional labor and work into a dishwasher that we were going to have to replace in the near future. When it was time to settle up the technician said that we owed him nothing and apologized for not seeing the pinhole leaks originally. He was so friendly and genuinely apologetic that I cut him a check anyway, but it was not expected and was more or less a gesture to thank him for his time trying to get our appliance working again. I wish our repair would have been more straight forward, because I would love to give them 5 stars. I will for sure be using them in the future and appreciated their honesty and hard work. read more

And the tech started to yell at the two women in the household because it was our fault that the wrong part got ordered somehow... Called Magic Appliance because of a problem with the washing machine. The Technician, Edward, was absolutely clueless and everything seemed to be such a chore. He kept moaning and groaning because he had to move the washing machine. Misdiagnosed the problem the first time, causing us to buy a part that was actually not faulty. Had him back a second time, he thought he figured it out...possibly a pump problem, gave me estimate for part, around $400. I asked him how he could know since he didn't even take the washing machine apart, he said it's a guess it could also be just a clogged drain. Taking it apart was way too time consuming and he had to send somebody else back. Needless to say I am done with this company, not to mention this guy smelled so bad I had to air out the laundry room after he left. read more

I was so impressed with this company and would absolutely call them again. They came out the next day with a knowledgeable repairman that was able to fix the refrigerator in about an hour. He immediately diagnosed the problem and had the necessary part to fix it. The company charges $60 to come out, but applies that to the cost of the repair. For some background, I own my own condo for 4 years. I have never called a repair man in my whole life. After living with my dryer squeaking noise for way too long, I googled a repair service. Since Magic Appliance had fantastic reviews I decided to give him a call. I described the issue to him, sent him the model number of my dryer and when he came by, 30 minutes later it was fixed.
