Here are my thots: -Very easy to see what time slots are available and make appointment. -When I arrived, I looked around and there were no lines or signs, just a ton of people milling around. It took me 5 minutes to figure out how to register. -They told me to go sit at a table and someone would come by and help me. I began to wonder when I watched others walk in and immediately get help. -But, lo and behold, about 30 seconds before my appointment was scheduled to begin, an associate came over to help me. -She was energetic, friendly, well prepared, and knowledgeable! Jazmyne knew my name and the problem with my phone. -She took one look at it and said, "Your camera might not be broken!" She came back 10 minutes later with the broken lens cover and told me where I could get a replacement. -As I was waiting for my appointment to begin another associate was teaching a class on Apple Intelligence--very helpful! To start, I'm not a big Apple guy, so you should go ahead and skip to another review. ;-) Imma try to be very objective about my experience at this particular location. I do have to visit Apple stores occasionally because of the ol' lady. Some are better than others, but my experience at this particular location was mixed. I had to visit twice. Both times, I did not care at all for the intake process. There was nobody greeting you, and by the time I seeked out a person with a nametag and an iPad, she looked like she wanted to avoid me and go home. The girl who ended up helping me to answer my questions was more hospitable. After hearing my situation, she explained that I would need to bring my faulty device in order for them to put it thru Genius replacement program of sorts, giving me a decent amount of discount on a replacement device. So, I returned home happy. I decided to go next to the shop in Woodfield mall, where they ended up placing an order for the replacement to arrive at the Deer Park location. This is when I had to visit the second time. Now, I confess. It was super close to their closing hours when I arrived to pick up the device. But I don't believe it should be a reason to not greet you and give you the feeling of being rushed. It's my personal feeling towards a service oriented shops. If I can help it, I would not come back to either of the two Apple shops I've been to recently, but I'm sure there will be times I would have to bite the bullet and do so, only because I don't want to drive unnecessary amount to try to find a better store... read more

I was here to pick up a Magic Keyboard folio for my new iPad. Since the Northbrook Apple Store closed, this was the reasonably closest location for me. I paid online and decided to pick it up in Deer Park. It was a bit of a surprise, then, that the wifi was down when we got to the store. So basically the big screen in the store went blank, and we had to cool our heels until it came back on again. Even though my item was already paid for, and I could show my receipt, we had to wait. Amazing, isn't it, the extent to which we are dependent on technology? We only waited about 10 minutes until the wifi came back, and the staff couldn't be more apologetic and helpful. My Experience of buying Air Tags I recently visited the Apple Store to purchase an AirTag, and my experience turned out to be more enriching than expected. While I was there, a workshop was going on "How to Take Better Photos on iPhone." The session was scheduled for Monday, August 17, 2025, from 12:00 to 1:00 pm, and I decided to stay and attend that was already started The workshop was very well organized . The Apple team created a comfortable and welcoming environment .The instructor explained photography tips and features of the iPhone camera in very simple, easy-to-understand language. Even those who weren't very tech-savvy like me could follow along without difficulty. I especially appreciated how they broke down advanced features like portrait mode, spatial,pano and editing tools into practical steps that anyone could try right, the pace was steady . Seating arrangement was ok. But one thing was missing like no exchange of questions and answers. Aside from the workshop, the store itself was clean, bright, and organized, which added to the positive experience. Staff members were approachable, friendly, and professional, making both my purchase of the AirTag and the workshop enjoyable.I was not at all aware about these sessions. I came to know many things. Overall, I left feeling not only happy with my purchase but also more confident in using my iPhone camera. I would definitely recommend these sessions to anyone interested in learning practical Apple tips. read more

Very poor experience overall. If you don't have an appointment, expect an extremely long wait just to speak with someone -- in my case, over 3 hours. What was most frustrating was the lack of clear communication and constantly changing timelines. I was initially told one timeframe for assistance, only for it to keep getting pushed back with no real explanation. It felt like the goalposts kept moving depending on who you spoke to. For a company like Apple, I expected a much more organized and customer-focused experience. The staff may have been busy, but the process itself felt inefficient and poorly managed. If i could rate this store 0 stars I would. I'm absolutely baffled at how disrespectful one of the workers were. I think she's a greeter? She was wearing d20 (dice) earrings and a bright neon pink necklace today (09/28/25) and was completely rude to me and my mother. We came in to spend atleast 2k on a ipad for this woman to yell at me and my mom "LADIES over here" and then tell us to go stand by the ipads, then, after she said she'd help us and then walked away after saying something incoherent. An ipad specialist was supposed to come over and help us but we were so distraught with the disrespect and tone of the woman that we ended up leaving. I get having a crowded store and feeling overwhelmed, but the absolute disrespect and tone when we were customers was rude. If you don't like your job don't work there, or atleast don't be the first person to "greet" people into a store. Never coming again. If you can go to the woodfield mall location you'd probably have a better experience there... read more

This location is located in the deer park plaza and has tons of complimentary parking. I am often so weary of going into an Apple Store when I need to do something because I dread the customer service. But we decided to give this location a try. I was in look of upgrading my iPad and didn't know where to start. When I came in, I had my iPad Pro from 2015with an Apple Pencil, and I was upgrading to the 2024 iPad Air with the Apple Pencil. I was told that my trade in value covered most of it but unfortunately my old Apple Pencil would not longer work with my new iPad. I was so sad because I use my pencil so much. But he talked me through a few different options and we were able to figure it out. The customer service at this location was by far the best I've ever seen and I know I'll be back soon with becuase I'd love to see how their vr tech works. Did you know it can adjust based on the level of your eyesight? Hindsight is 20/20! But overall a great experience! read more

TERRIBLE. Came in with ONE issue on my phone, now I have a million. No one listened to me, nobody helped until two hours I was sitting there. They reset my phone which did NOTHING after I already told them I did that. These people don't listen nor actually care about your phone. Wasted three hours, and now have to get a BRAND NEW IPHONE. This place is terrible and didn't do a single thing. They now are refusing to answer their phones, and letting AI do everything for them. Love Apple products but didn't like the pick-up experience at this Deer Park, IL Apple location. I ordered the new Apple 4 w/ noise cancelling feature for pick-up. I've picked up quite a few products from this location and the experience has been decent. Placing an order from the Apple Store App was pretty easy! I was able to make my selection, engrave the product (free), select pickup location and finally place the order. After placing the order, I received both text and email communication from the confirmation through ready to pick-up. Pick-up instructions were clear and I was able to add it to my Apple Wallet for quick access. It stated where to pick-up the item. Here is where I think the service fell short. I arrived and I was directed to the back / left of the store. There were customers and employees at the pickup table and it was very busy. There is a door n the area where employees continually walked in and out of (passing me with no eye contact). As I stood there for 15 minutes with no one asking if I have been helped, I finally flagged a lady and asked if I can pickup my order. I gave her all the information she needed to confirm I was the right person picking up the order. Approx. 7 minutes later - an employee came out with my products and handed it to the lady that helped me. She bagged it and handed me my new product. I realize it was busy but I felt like the employees that walked past me without eye contact did not want to help. It is not like I was shopping, I was standing next to the pick-up table and no contact until I flagged someone down. I think on busy days, staff more employees to monitor the pick-up area versus 1 person. read more

my phone was acting up last week and i just couldn't figure what it was doing. its connected to my iPad and my iPad had thing in my text messages that my phone didnt. tried google to help me with my problem but still couldn't get it to fix the problem. so headed to the Apple Store in Deer Park,il. Im 74 and have not had good experiences with people who know all with technology. but the young man who greeted me was so understanding and said he also didnt understand what going on but did a few things that i had done myself and ran a test on my phone and i was able to see tech person and he did a few things and explain to me what he did. he also didn't know why it did that but my phone worked and said he would keep me on file in case it happened again so they would know what to do next time. long story short they made this old woman a better day and thank you again read more

The people who work in this store were absolutely unhelpful on the simplest of tasks. Somehow, my phone was linked to an email. I had 20 years ago so I could not access it or back up my device. My phone linked up to that email magically when I got the phone and when the storage became full and I had to buy storage, which is ridiculous. I couldn't do it because it sends it to an email that does not exist anymore. They cannot get rid of the email dedicated to the device because they can't open the email due to no password. So I am now the proud owner of a $1200 paperweight. I would never recommend anyone to the store ever and I would absolutely never have anyone buy any Apple product. They told me to call google. I would late rank this less than one star if I could. This was after I initially came in to have them look at the phone. In addition, to the phone, I also bought Apple Protection with Theft Coverage, screen protector, clear protective case, 3 charging cables, and 2 adapters! Preordered the new iPhone and came to this store around 10:30am to pick it up. There were two lines set up outside. One was express pick up and the other one is a normal line for purchases. There were stickers on the ground to make sure customers in line were socially distancing. They also limit the number of customers allowed in the store for pick up/ purchase. Security guards were also standing outside to make sure everyone was following the rules. I think Apple did a good job with having people pre selecting their time slot prior to pick up so there wasn't a lot of people lining up outside. There was only one person in front of me when I got there. While inside, the registers were at least 6ft apart. Employees all have face masks on and hand sanitizers are available. Purchases were quick and contactless. I only spent 5 -7 minutes in the store and left. The employee helping me was very nice, courteous and knowledgeable. I would come back to this Apple store for purchases or help with the iPhone. read more

Give Robert a raise!!!! My three year old iPad locked up in a way I had never seen before and wouldn't respond to anything, the usual ways of resetting it didn't work. I even googled all the hacks and tried them all to no avail. I was ready to buy a new iPad because I've heard horror stories about these Apple stores (I mean, look at the average review... even my husband gave you guys a one star review for a completely unrelated issue that happened several years ago that I was unaware of) plus my last iPad only lasted three years ..... but I had to give it a chance. So I made an appointment, and went in at my appointment time, and Robert was waiting and he used one of the hacks that I tried online and I failed at, but he had the magic touch. He didn't make me feel stupid or incompetent even though I spent literally 100 times longer driving to the Apple Store and back than it took for him to fix it. And he didn't charge me a penny and he had a fabulous attitude, even though I'm sure he'd been dealing with a lot of crabby people all day, and my attitude when I came into the store wasn't the best either, but that had to do with the reason I am taking a star off of the review. I had to take a star off what should have been an easy 5 star review because the store itself is almost impossible to find because it's in a humongous conglomerate of strip malls that I literally spent 15 minutes driving around searching for any sign of Apple anything, while having a full-fledged panic attack that I was going to miss my appointment because I wiped me be able to find the UNLABELED store The store doesn't even have a sign.‍ All it has is the white Apple logo against a white background ‍ so whoever designed that had their head firmly up their butts. At least when you email people directions to the store, include some kind of indication where among the 300 stores in these MILES of strip malls you're actually located. Had the Blessings of the Owner of my Company to go pick out my computer laptop. Wasn't quite sure yet whether to go Apple, Microsoft or HP. After getting some advise from former Surface owners, they steered me to choose an Apple product, since I am more familiar with them. Had no appointment, on a Sunday, but was told it might be 15 minutes, 4 minutes later, Zoe R. was our consultant. I explained my situation and what I was looking for. Zoe then, showed me a higher end version as well as a middle of the road option. I wanted the all Black model, but that was not an option. (China manufacturing really doesn't care). So I went with the next closest, since I would be in the manufacturing sector and might have my hands a little dirty. we then went ahead with the purchase and it was not an issue. I also bought a one year warranty which could be renewed annually (was on sale). Zoe then assisted with getting my laptop started. We were not able to get many options programmed since I needed some information from our companies IT Dept. Zoe noticed my displeasure and assured me if there were any problems to reach out to her and she would be able to get it taken care of. Now that's proper customer service. We will follow up with Zoe when its time to update our old phones to the latest. Good people are truly hard to find, hopefully Apple appreciates them too. Cheers! read more

The management of the store is bottom of the barrel, had many poor interactions here. Most recent was the power button off an Apple TV, remote, the most recent version, came off, and they refused to replace it as a design defect. I was not about to pay $50 for a new replacement remote. Apple needs to take ownership for poor design and defects when they are evident. read more

Ive been to this location several times. It was always a pleasant experience. The staff are friendly and helpful. One of the employees even remembered me from a previous visit. Even the security guards are friendly and welcoming. Every visit, but my last visit, was super quick and the wait was minimal. Bear in mind I waited 5 minutes versus the usual 1-2 minute wait, so it was not a big deal. There used to be a barrier in place that did not allow you to browse the store or see al the products but that has recently been removed. Of course they still have covid restrictions in place but is definitely more "relaxed" than it was. The process of purchasing, returning/refunding and/or exchanging is a smooth process. I was unable to take any pictures because the store was at full capacity and I was asked to wait on the side. read more

If you can avoid the Deer Park location, I strongly advise you to do so. The customer service is consistently rude and unprofessional. A female store employee who claimed she was a manager, refused to assist my wife with her broken/non-working phone. This "manager" then began to openly argue with my wife in front of the whole store. Another associate had to intervene and help to which this manager tried to stop from happening. Unfortunately, this is not the first occurrence of rude treatment as we have had other employees argue or "snap" at us upon answering a simple question. Most of the employees hang out at a back corner table where they talk and laugh loudly. They make it known that they do not want to be bothered and your need for help is an inconvenience. My 3 week old phone face recognition failed. Gave it for repair, store returned phone completely broken , that told me it was water inside , I showed them led indicator inside SIM card which shows that phone wasn't flooded, manager refused to perform repairs. Other than being busy around holiday or big product release I have actually had very good experiences very time I have visited the deer park store. This location is much more open than the old one in deer park which I do like. I typically have always made a genius appointment when I need help with a problem with a Devi w and the experience has always been beyond my expectations. Check in is fast. The Apple Staff is always helpful and resolved issues promptly. This visit i purchased a new iPhone and was coming to pick it up on the way home from the airport. By the time I ordered the phone upon landing at ohare and taking an Uber to deer park my order was ready to go. I was actually very impressed with the process and would do this again next time instead of waiting on a busy day. I would recommend going to this store. read more

So I had a 1:00 appointment. Was told to go sit on the uncomfortable hipster wooden cube chairs. After waiting 40 minutes watching other customers get waited on before me I asked a 'person' not sure the apple hip term, what happened to my appointment. I was told to sit back down in the uncomfortable wooden chairs and somebody would be with me. No apology. Just sit back down. Some guy approached me and took me to a table. Had to fight worker drones to get to the seat. Replace my screen was the answer. Come back in 40 minutes. Ok. Came back. 45 minutes just to be sure. Waited another 20 minutes to get my phone back.
