Ever since my local coffee shop closed (RIP DCB), I've been on the hunt to find the next best thing. After many hours of going through Yelp, trying to find any place in the 626, I stumbled upon Hyper Coffee. It's tucked away in an area that looks a bit like OTP or Monrovia. Parking was easy to find on the streets on the side. Inside was small and dainty, with one employee working; she was extremely nice and tried to assist everyone. Green tea frappe: refreshing. Since I went on a hot 90°+ day, it was extremely refreshing when I tried it. It was perfectly sweetened. The matcha flavor was there but not overpowering. All in all, great drink. Iced nuttin' honey: too sweet. This was just much much too sweet! Maybe I should have expected it since it was Nutella and honey, but I waited for my ice to melt to dilute it, then added more ice before drinking it. Maybe this drink is really just meant for people with a sweet tooth, but there was no coffee taste. It was basically drinking an overly sweet Nutella honey milk. Bleh. This is not my newly found coffee shop. Does anyone in the 626 have any recommendations??? read more

I really like this place. The staff is super friendly. They have seating at the front of the shop, indoors and under canopy in the back as well. I had a breve which is my new favorite coffee and a carrot cake which was delicious. They even have a reward program based on how much you spend as well. read more

Very friendly staff, delicious food, and delicious coffee. I ordered a peppermint mocha and omg it's the best one I've ever had. Its not too sweet and not too bitter. The perfect balance and it doesn't look like it's a seasonal drink so I no longer have to wait for winter time at Starbucks. The atmosphere and the neighborhood is very nice. There were even peacocks walking around outside today. There are signs saying that if you want to stay and work here and use the wifi that a purchase is required or you will be asked to leave which is fine by me since the inside seating area has limited seating. Good coffee and good location and very pretty plants cheer the place up. The downside is this small cafe shoukd feel very personal but instead feels a little clinical: the woman working there was very inflexible on simple issues, bathroom requires a key (no good reason why in this sleepy cafe), and the air conditioning inside could not keep up at all. Maybe we just visited on a bad day - I will try the place again and see how it is on the weekend. read more

I always been looking for a coffee shop to study at because I always go to boba shop. Dang this coffee shop is spot on. First of all as you walk in, there are many seats and tables for people to study and the tables are squared. Secondly, the atmosphere inside is pretty nice, the light not too bright and not so dim... just right. Although there are not that many outlets, come early because there are only three tables with outlets to charge your laptops, phones, etc. Coming inside, I feel not at home but really content with how simple the place looks. It does not need to be super extravagant, simple is good already. I also think that it is pretty cute because there are decorations that matches with the color of the walls and the lighting in the room. I usually come early in the morning so I am always greeted by Maggie. She always say "Hi welcome!" To start off with customer service, you definitely need to start saying hello to the customers. Also the way she handled her customer service is pretty on par because she smiles and also tries to remember the customer's name. She also is very attentive with what the customer wants and gives great recommendation Not just her but I would say everyone is friendly! To start off with what to get, I usually get the Red eye (black coffee with a shot of espresso). The black coffee in general is very strong and to make it stronger, espresso pushes the taste to another level (this is with no sugar). If I have my cheat days, I would get the mocha latte because I love chocolate. I also recommend the organic sumatra or hazelnut because it is always brewed so well! For food, though it is pricey I would start off with the breakfast wrap because it is wrapped very nicely. Also, everything inside is flavorful! There's always a crunch from the salad which makes it taste fresh. Overall, I say this place is great! There is wifi, comfortable seating though no sofas which is alright, and very nice workers! I would recommend this place to my friends if they need some place to study that is a coffee shop. Was looking for a coffee shop in the area to meet up with my friend on a Saturday and just didn't really want to go to another boba place. So when I found Hyper Coffee on Yelp, I got pretty excited since it seemed like a mom & pop shop. It's a nice, cozy place in old town Arcadia is it? I'm not from the area but love the old town feel, and is still intact with this street. My friend ordered a hot cup of tea and I ordered a small vanilla latte. I love how there is also space behind the shop to sit outside and there is also a canopy set up for the sun, rain, and etc. Since it was the weekend, there was no hour limit for parking outside so it was great just to chill and chat with my friend to catch up. There is also free wi-fi! Great little place! I didn't get to try any of the sandwiches or etc but they looked great! The place was full through the span of about 2.5 hours that we were there. People kept coming in and out, even stayed there with friends/family, or even just to read their own books. Let's support independent businesses, not chains! =) read more

Went there today with my three little kids. Super hot day 97 degrees outside. Ordered 2 chocolate chip cookies and asked for 4 cups of ice water. The lady asked tap water and I said yes. Then she informed me it would be $.50 charge for each of the plastic cups. Come on. Please don't nickel and dime your customers. I walked out and won't be returning. I wasn't sure about posting this review but saw another review that they charge for sugar for the coffee too. My it spot for Chai Tea Latte! Way way WAYY, 100x better then Starbucks. You can actually taste the flavor. I highly recommend this spot for Chai Tea Latte, that's what I order whenever I am here. Not saying that their other drinks aren't good, I tried a few of their other drinks but I still think Chai is the best. Their Chai overall is way better then a lot of other places. I also love how there is NEVER a long wait, go in, order your drink, wait a few mins and your drink is ready to go. Suggested: always load up on their member card, so when you arrive you dont need to take out your wallet. Just give them your phone # and they will deduct it from there. Purchased an iced coffee and a panini, coffee did not taste like coffee it was basically sweetened milk the panini was soggy and overpriced.

Let me just start off by saying that the lady working the register is so salty! It was fairly obvious by her tone of voice that she did not want to be there. First impression is key, and they did not give me a good one. If it's your first time, and you ask for recommendations, I expect you to give me your recommendations OR popular drinks purchased by customers instead of an eye roll and the silent treatment. But, that's that. I ordered the chicken pesto, which was 5/10. Decent, but not the best. I suppose you can't go wrong with a sandwich. Also got the Full Moon latte, which is vanilla and honey. The flavor tastes nasty at first, but you get used to it after a few sips. It was quite delicious after that. The cup was cute. It's also VERY loud in here. I really enjoy their lattes and blended drinks. Their chicken pesto panini was also pretty good! I'm not the biggest fan of their Vietnamese coffee, but everything else I've had has been tasty. Great customer service and location! I've never had a problem with parking--I'm always able to find a spot within the block. They do have a $5 minimum for cards, so I usually bring cash just in case. A cute place for coffee. I have been here several time for coffee in the past months. Customer services could be better. There is an out-of-order note posted on the restroom for over several months. I asked if the restroom is available thinking they don't want non customer to use the restroom, the answer has been No is not available. How can you provide seat in dinning and can't use the restroom. There is a Card charge for under $5. Unfortunately, this is the only coffee shop establishment in this area. read more

Nice place but they either don't have air conditioning or don't turn it on. It's 95 degrees inside the cafe as I sit here and only a tad hotter outside. If you're looking for a COOL place to hang out,,, this isn't it. On the good side, the espresso cups are cute and the place looks really nice. Great coffee spot in Arcadia. Also does some breakfast bagels for those searching for more than just their morning cup of coffee. Ive had several coffee / espresso drinks. Most are on the sweeter side. But you can customize it for those looking for less sweet. Their lox bagel and breakfast sandwich are good, a bit pricey compared to the average donut shop price. Super low key, quaint and cozy coffee shop--without the pretentious "hipster coffee shop" vibes of most "trendy" places. Indoor space has a cute plant shop, the outdoor seating space is airy, spacious and dreamy for great conversations with friends, or to get work done without any interruptions. It's a very small shop but it's fun to be in. They have an old town vibe while still feeling up to date. The interior decor has a soft appeal. I went in on a Sunday, and they had both the front and back door that leads into the garden area open. This created a naturally cool interior breeze, which I think helps with using less power and lets natural air in. I just got a cup of coffee, which is what they called it, and it could have been hotter but still tasted Ok. Dear lady with the thick black glasses at the register. I don't know why you think it is ok to be rude to your customers, but the way you talked to me was quite unacceptable. The prices here are pretty outrageous for what you get. I just paid 5 something for a medium coffee. I could get the same thing at coffee bean and it's way better coffee for cheaper...what? Someone explain this to me. I've heard from multiple people that every time they get a sandwich it comes out being around $20 and the veggies are limp and old and the bread is stale. AND they have gotten sick after eating from here. On top of all of that, they're rude to their customers?! Have a few exams to study for, so I decided to wake up early on a Saturday to put some work in. Ordered the 20 oz cappuccino with soy because I'm lactose intolerant, and it did not disappoint. It's a nice little coffee shop. It has a lot of table that fits two people located inside. It's a nice place to grab a cup of coffee and catch up with a friend. If you have a larger group, they have a gated patio area outside with larger tables. We ordered their chipotle chicken panini sandwich, a watermelon juice, and a coffee drink. The sandwich was a bit disappointing, it tasted a bit bland. The coffee was too sweet and we had to dilute it with water. In the middle of a meeting with a client, the owner/manager (I'm assuming) came up to me and asked if she can get me anything. I replied no thanks, I'm good, and she pointed at a sign that said everyone has to buy something - no minimum purchase. I agree that whenever you go to a business, you, or at least someone in your party, should buy something. Came to try this place today, and I'm excited to have found a great place to get coffee, all day breakfast, and to study! Ambience was wonderful, very low, soft music playing that feels very relaxing and calm. Service was great, very friendly and even brought food and coffee out to my table. I had the spinach & egg wrap that came with a mustard aioli and it was perfect! The worker said mustard aioli was mustard, mayo, salt, pepper, lemon and garlic. It was delicious, and light. Exactly what I wanted. I also tried the new iced Vietnamese coffee which hasn't been added to the menu YET, but is posted on the cash register. It only comes in a 20 oz but is $4.99 and comes with 3 shots of espresso in condensed milk. It has a good espresso flavor but with a hint of sweetness, but not too much where it's overwhelming. Just enough for it to not taste bitter, but smooth. This place has plenty of options for food and coffee, even the pastries look great. This is a pretty small local coffee shop that seems nice and relaxing compared to say a Starbucks which constantly has people coming in and out and blenders going off all the time. I met a friend here for lunch and although the place isn't too big, we never felt the need to leave early (due to too many customers) since we had been there for a while. I didn't try the coffee so cannot comment on that but I did get the chicken pesto panini. The panini was served hot and the bread was nicely toasted. The rest of the panini wasn't anything special though. Its not to say that it was bad but nothing I would crave or really recommend for someone to try. read more

Had a delicious mocha latte with a splash of whole milk. Truly savory egg and cheese bagel on an everything bagel. You can ask for it to be toasted. I prefer my bagel a little crunchy.
