This rice noodle shop clearly knows what it's doing. From the first bite, you can tell the broth isn't propped up by MSG--it has real depth from proper simmering, rich but never heavy. The noodles are springy, smooth, and hold their texture well, which already puts this place ahead of the curve.
Ordering was easy, the kiosk is self explanatory and simple. I ordered 3 skewers exactly at 4:40. We waited around and I saw the guy who ordered at the kiosk after me, receive his order #93 and drink. So I ask the girl if order #90 is ready and she's like No it's not. I told her it's been 20 minutes for 3 skewers and she walks off. She does not say anything and has an unfriendly, annoyed expression. I was staring at all the skewers being heated but my order was lost somewhere for 20 minutes. She went straight to the skewers to trim the stick and gave me my order. She said nothing and just handed it to me, it was such an unpleasant exchange. I will come back for the skewers, $6.54 for 3 skewers is an ok deal in Flushing but they definitely have to be more organized with orders. 20 minutes for skewers that were already ready off to the side is not great but poor customer service is a deal breaker. They definitely need training on customer service, customers are not always right but when you're in the wrong, it's a simple fix. A smile or sorry makes a huge difference towards customer satisfaction.

The noodles were bland, overpriced, small in quantity, had no protein and provided large chunks of celery, which i found to be an absolute abomination, ontop of everything else it took nearly 40 minutes to get one of the most mediocre noodles ive ever had in my life. Delicious bowl of noodles for good price Food is delicious, mildly spicy, but addicting. Portion size is also good. Service is quick and professional. Ordered take out, got my order within a few minutes. Packaging is really neat Seating is within Tangram Mall facilities. Can't dock them for stuff they can't control. The highly anticipated newest addition to Tangram's food hall, Hwa Shooshoo was mid... Short line, big wait. Understandable since they are new. Staff did not call out our order number when it was ready. Their Signature Beef Fried Rice Noodles was loaded with their hot red sauce. They said it'll ignite your soul but it was more of a tickle. The noodles were drenched in sauce, expect a wet bowl. There was a whole truck load of celery. We added enoki mushrooms as our topping for an additional price. There was barely any. In the end we thought it tasted alright. Nothing mind blowing. It's missing the heat of a wok. Everything is cooked on an induction cooktop. They should probably install a barrier to separate customers from getting too close to the food that's being cooked. People could reach in easily. Not sure why people were leaning on it, what a hazard!
This place is located in the Tangram food court so there is plenty of seating and depends on when you go it can be lively and crowded. We got the tomato base noodles and the mutton skewers. The skewers were ok, no Smokey flavor but it not bad. The noodles were good but not exciting, my favorite part is the noodle texture. It's solid noodles but kinda pricy for what it is. The reason I deducted some stars is the price but also the service. We went on a weekday so the mall was pretty empty. We tried to order but the staff seems dismissive and not really helpful. We sat on the table literally right in front of the food stall and the staff saw us but never called out any number or called us to pick up the food even though we made eye contact a few times. After a long time I finally went to ask him about the order and it has just been sitting there in the back for idk how long, so the noodles were warm but not hot. That just didn't give me a great impression even before I eat my food.

The beef was tender and flavorful, soaking up the spicy, aromatic sauce that had just the right kick--bold enough to wake up your taste buds, but not overpowering. The little cute take out bag is the must have item. Service is slow unfriendly but it s okay; not everyone is happy with their job.
This place is INSANE! in the best possible way! The Xinjiang stir-fried rice noodles shocked me the moment I opened the box. They threw in chicken, beef, rice noodles, rice cakes, AND wide noodles all together?! Who does that? A genius, that's who. Every bite felt like unlocking a new level of happiness. The chicken is crazy tender, the beef is ridiculously flavorful, and the combo of chewy rice cakes with bouncy noodles is straight-up addictive. The spicy sauce grabbed my soul and refused to let go. I wasn't eating, I was ASCENDING. The skewers? OUTRAGEOUS. Juicy, smoky, packed with cumin aroma, I legit had to stop and whisper "wow" after each stick. My taste buds were throwing a party. And then the milk-skin yogurt came in like an angel descending from the sky~ creamy, rich, perfectly sweet, cooling down all that heat like it knew exactly what my body needed. The service was very friendly and attentive, and the food was clean, fresh, and prepared very hygienically, which made the whole experience even better. Overall, the portion sizes were generous, the flavors were authentic, and everything tasted fresh. I'm very satisfied and would definitely order again!

I absolutely loved my visit to Hua Xiaoxiao Xinjiang Stir-Fry Rice Noodles! The flavors were incredible -- rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced. Whenever I'm in town this stall in Tangram mall is a must-have and I've converted the rest of my family. I always get the same thing which they've really mastered - the Stir Fried Wide Noodles with Chicken in particular! The sauce is spicy and mouthwatering, but not overpowering and SO flavorful. The wide noodles are chewy and bouncy. I'm surprised they're not better advertised because this type of noodle complements the sauce perfectly. Service is generally fast and friendly; sometimes I order in advance on Fantuan so I can pick it up quickly. read more
This is a corner stall in the Tangram Food Court. It was our third stop for this weekend's food crawl. We had lamb skewers earlier at Eat Up, so we thought it would be a good comparison. Well, this one was a big letdown. First, the notification didn't work. After orders from the kiosk where there was only one person ahead of me. I waited for 15 minutes and still no text. I saw the person in front of me also went up because his order also wasn't served. He couldn't believe it's taking this long either. The amount of protein in the skewers was simply pathetic, feeling like one segment too short. One piece was completely fatty, and another segment was part of a bony cartilage which I had to spit out. We also tried their milk skin yogurt. It was pre-packaged in a cup. The texture was nice and silky. It was slightly sweet and not sour at all as I had feared. But at $5.50 that's an expensive cup of yogurt. read more
Can order in the machine or in counter. Took around 15 minutes. The skewers took little longer because many people are ordering that. The spiciness is more of XinJiang level. Tastes good. The skewers are tasty too. Can see inside the kitchen in how they make the food. Hard to find a seat in the mall. If find one, can enjoy the food. read more

Stopped by the Tangram Mall Food Court and decided to try this place. Ordered the Pickled Cabbage Beef Fried Rice Noodle. Was made very quickly. A little spicy, very large portion. So delicious. Will definately be visiting this place more often read more

Hwa shooshoo has amazing Xinjiang rice noodles -- rich, spicy, and full of flavor. Portions are generous, ingredients taste fresh, and the broth is super satisfying. Fast service and great value. Definitely coming back! read more

I decided on this place because my kids only like to eat noodles and not many places were opened at Tangram that early. There were barely anyone ordering or waiting so I was like sure why not. Biggest mistake ever!!! I placed my noodle order at 11:14am on a Saturday through the kiosk thinking i'll get my food really quick... NOPE. I could tell that they were understaffed because there was only 2 ppl working. 1 girl being the cashier who looks clueless and probably never cooked before. Another guy in the back preparing the ingredients and boiling noodles. Then the next thing I noticed was that a Fantuan delivery guy was in the front cooking! How bizarre is that?? Never had I ever seen that and i'm pretty sure that is not allowed. Delivery guy was probably getting tired of waiting and decided to cook it himself but he still have no business being there. I waited patiently until I could no longer wait anymore and was getting ridiculous. I asked the girl the status of my order and she kept saying its next.. my noodles are in the pot. As time passed by, I kept seeing ppl who ordered after me received their order which is not right. At 11:50 am I finally got my order. The girl worker was unapologetic. I waited for a total of 37 mins for my noodles which looked like something I could've made in 5 mins. I only saw the girl just let the ingredients heat up on the induction stove top and stirred a few times. It's basically sauce and some water into it. This place is a joke for such mediocre noodles. So if you have nothing better to do then eat here and prepare to wait a long time because this place is not worth the frustration and no it did not ignite my soul. read more

This is my first time trying Xinjiang fried rice noodles,and man, they totally blew me away! I went for the tomato flavor. They've got spicy options, but also savory and tomato ones, which aren't hot at all. The menu's got a ton of variety like wide noodles and rice cakes too. So good! read more
