I visited Hungry's yesterday, and I'm always pleased with their food. I like this place mainly because of its healthy menu options, not to mention they have quite a selection of entrees. My favorited dish is the Greens and Beans salad with the grilled salmon drizzled with balsamic vinagratte, and a few slices of pita bread on the side. I also like their fresh rasberry lemonade...its a perfect drink on a hot summer day! read more

They basically force you to valet. They have a good sized parking lot. But block it off with valet so you have to pay the owner more to park. Food is average with a huge Greek lean. The place is dirty and the staff is indifferent. The son seems to be running the place lately. Which is no big deal since the owner is pompous and indifferent. He just likes to park his bmw in the handicapped zone. You can do better. Go across the street to pho crab, napolis or la hacienda. read more

I really wanted to like Hungry's, but it wasn't meant to be. Food is so-so, service was non-existent. (And probably stoned.) I ordered the Eggs Benedict. Not the crab cakes Benedict, plain old Eggs Benedict. When I ordered, the server even asked me if I wanted the crab cakes. I said no, but somehow, that's what she brought me and that's what she charged me for even after I sent back my order. The egg whites were super runny, even though they clearly use "foolproof" poacher cups like I have at home. Blech. Additionally, we had to plead for coffee and water refills. I eventually got up and got my own coffee while my server hung out with a handful of other servers in the corner. On the plus side, the mango vanilla mimosa was delightful, even if they did run out of one of the necessary ingredients and we were only able to order one. Not one each, just one total. All in all, not the best dining experience. For my money, I'd rather go to Pecan Creek Grille and pick up my own food from the counter. That way, if my server is stoned, it's no one's fault but my own. read more

Hey foodies! I have my dinner still on the brain from earlier. Hungry's is a refreshing restaurant similar to Ruggles greens healthy way to eat. Just fyi It can end up being pricy depending on what you order, but I'm sure it's all worth the money. If not let me know what not to get next time...I ordered my food to go and it was a big order I order five meals it was for the whole family. Haha... I'm not that greedy y'all. The order was 3 penne pasta two with shrimp the other with jalapeño sausage, and 2 gyro meals. I had to wait to eat till I made it home, but when I finally was able to dig in it was so worth it. The portion was a good size I even have left overs for lunch...maybe breakfast. I almost forgot to tell you the details about the inside of the restaurant. It's very cafe looking if that makes sense, but looks clean. The parking I'm sure can be hard to find during busy hours, but I went around 4 or 5 and parking was easy not even crowded. The wait for the to go order was less than 15 min. Amazing! So my vegan and non vegan friends go try something new if you haven't already! :) read more

If you like delicious food, service and good atmosphere you will love Hungry's. Grilled chicken was awesome. Good luck Hungry's! Your level is 5 stars! read more

Yuck, yuck, and yuck!! Picked up an order to go tonight. I ordered the black bean burger Burger and it was the most disgusting thing I've ever seen!! I tried to eat it but I couldn't get it down and I was starving. There were 10 black beans and a fourth of an avocado. The fries were mushy and cold. All that for $11.50, tisk, tisk!!! They forgot an order of pita bread even though it was listed in red on the receipt. Pizza my daughter got was mushy on the bottom even though it was a flatbread pizza!! Shame shame that they would send something out to go like that. We are done with Hungrys! Too many better places that actually check their orders before they send them out!!! Posting picture so you can see what they expected me to eat!! read more

Hungry's - So called black bean veggie burger! Would you eat that? - New American Near Me - Houston, Texas

I'm going with 5 stars. The food is pretty darn good. It's a bit fru-fru for me, but my girlfriend likes it. Try it

So my wife just brought me half of a wrap that she didn't eat. Since I am avoiding carbs I just decided to eat the inside but not the tortilla. Wow the amount of actual stuff inside was shockingly small. You take a big tortilla and add a small amount of meat and veggies, wrap it and it looks substantial. Good job Hungry's making a small amount of food look more than it actually is. read more

I liked the atmosphere better than the food. Mine, and everyone in my party who ordered french fries said they were cold. Aside from the temperature, they were old and shriveled... strange for a Saturday evening. My gyro was nothing special, same as the mall food court. Upon reflection, no one in our party of ten commented on the food, other than the cold fries, not a good sign to me. Like other reviews, our waiter was MIA, but was nice when he was around. I prefer Chatter's in the Heights for a similar feel with superior service and quality. read more

We searched for a breakfast spot this morning & ended up here. We had been here once before for a quick lunch when we were house hunting & found the food to be unique and delicious so we gave it a shot for breakfast. We both had eggs benedict- mine with crab cakes & his with ham and we both loved our meals! I also had fresh squeezed orange juice that was fantastic! Highly recommend! read more

Mediocre food ruined by terrible experience. Completely pointless valet service that actually causes more traffic in the parking lot that if customers were allowed to self-park. This also creates a long wait to get your car back when you are done eating. Lastly, if you value your car, think twice before going here. The valet service lost my keys. They offered no explanation while I stood there and they frantically searched for my keys, and finally 10 minutes later showed up with my car, again with no apology or explanation for where they finally found them. My guess is they left them in the car. Do not trust them with your vehicle. The food was hastily prepared and showed very little care or attention beyond slapping it together as quickly as possible to meet the busy lunch-time demand. The service was terrible. We saw our server twice, once to take our orders, and once to drop the bill - no refills on beverages, and our food was brought out by a different waiter who inevitably mixed up who ordered what. I left work to go to lunch happy and looking forward to spending a great weekend outdoors, and now I'm back sitting at my desk at work ruined and bitter. I'll probably spend the weekend with my windows shut listening to AFI, crying, and posting angry poetry on my livejournal. Do yourself a favor and go to one of the many good restaurants in this area other than Hungry's. read more

We were rained in, so my co-workers and I decided to give this place a chance since they deliver. I placed my order online, and what I ordered was not what I received. I called and spoke with the manager on duty, Gabriel, and he was very combative and rude. There was a disconnect between what was reflected on the receipt I received vs. what they showed in their online order system. I explained to him that the receipt was correct, he argued the opposite.. as if he was the one who placed the initial order. The attitude he took was completely unacceptable. Needless to say, next time my Energy Corridor associates and I decide to spend $100+ on delivery, it will not be at Hungry's. read more

First time visit meet friends for a bite to eat, liked it passed it many times before didn't even see it. My chicken wrap and lettuce wedge salad was good and so was my margarita. Yes, would certainly go again. read more

This is a REALLY GOOD weekend spot for brunch but idk what's up with the waiters they take forever to come to your table once you've been seated by the hosts. Aside from the long wait to order your food the waiters are always oa rush which is bizarre b/c they take so long to get you a damn menu and your drinks. Besides that the food is great, I usually get the Greek omelette or lobster Benedict. read more

One of the best places for lunch on the west side. Hungry's just moved into some new digs, which are casual and up to date. The food is diverse, healthy, and delicious making it a great spot for a light lunch. Definitely can get busy for lunch during the work week, so be prepared if you come during the rush. Enjoy! read more

I love Hungry's, and I'm so happy that they have this newer location out in West Houston! While the environment is nothing fancy, it is certainly not run down or unpleasant in the least. Cute and casual! Food is yummy and the service tries hard to please. The wraps are delicious, and the soup bowls are HUGE! Very pleased that the tomato basil soup is not sweet. There's also a nice cozy lounge next door to have wine or cocktails!! When it's cold outside, heat lamps outdoors too! read more

This is one my favorite brunch/lunch places. The food is always so good and healthy. Their kabob plate is really good. this is always a good lunch option if you work/live around this area. Service is always good too even if you are getting to go. Sometimes during lunch they get slammed so remember that when you come during that rush hour. read more

Don't let the 3 star review fool you, this place is pretty tasty. It just seems a might too pretentious for my taste. I mean, come on, they have valet parking at a popular lunch spot that shares a parking lot with a car mechanic. Its like I'm back in Miami again. During lunch you can choose table or counter service, which is a huge plus in my book as it saves both time and money. The food was pretty darn good. I had the pasta rustica, which is a penne dish with vodka sauce and sausage. They also have probably the largest cups of iced tea I have ever seen. They may get bumped up to 4 stars if I like more of their dishes, or the cute waitress behind the counter agrees to a date, but its staying three for now. read more

I love hungrys chicken avacado pita with their amazing orzo pasta!! They also a amazing southwestern salad!

Everything on the menu tastes like airplane food (leftover, reheated and bland). Meat is always dry, so is probably frozen, never fresh. The vegetable of the day is always boiled with no seasoning and zero effort put forth. French fries are never cooked properly, are raw and limp, or burned. Food never ever comes out hot, maybe room temperature at best. On top of all of this, everything is extremely overpriced. They're a "healthy" restaurant that supposedly caters to vegetarian and gluten free, yet there is nothing Gluten Free on the kids menu. Time to get with the program; children suffer with food allergies just like adults including gluten intolerance. The wait staff is extremely slow, disappears for long periods of time (probably why the food is always cold) and clearly doesn't give a crap (they never return to the table to refresh drinks or ask if anything else is needed with your meal). Hungry's must not pay them well or train them well. Ambience- the restaurant looks pretty, but awkward at best as everyone sits around and stares in the quiet while waiting an eternity for the waitstaff to return. There are too many other great restaurants in Houston for Mediterranean food, comfort food, healthy options, etc. that offer excellent service and delicious food. Save your time and money and eat elsewhere. read more

First, you must have Chicken Vegetable soup which is easily best soup I've ever eaten in a restaurant. You are then required to have the Gyro Plate as your main course. I insist, really. It's delicious even if you think you don't like gyro. There are lots of healthy options for those looking to holster their muffin tops. read more

One of my favorite restaurants! The tuna salad is fabulous and they have a wonderful brunch menu!

HRW win! $25 menu, huge portions and everyone loved their meal. We live nearby and were excited to try out some of their more popular items. Love that they include healthy options. Not to mention $5 wine during restaurant week. Despite the healthy options (that were delish) the croissant bread pudding was the star of the show. read more

I'm a fan of Hungry's for sure! The food is fresh and the service is great! It's a great, healthy option for lunch in the Energy Corridor. I have had the Gyro Plate a couple of times and never been disappointed. A lot of my friends love the southwestern wrap also and the salads. It can get a little busy at lunch, but that can be expected anywhere decent on this side of town! read more

I ventured out of my comfort zone (610) to try this place with a friend who so-conveniently lived 3 blocks away. Apparently they have bottomless mimosas for brunch, but I didn't partake in them today. This location has good outdoor seating, we actually didn't even walk in. The waiter was completely aloof and we saw him a total of 3 times: 1 to take order, 1 to drop off food, 1 to take bill. I actually had to get up and refill my own water twice. I ordered the Philly Steak sandwich per his suggestion. The bread is a great crusty baguette, but the meat was semi-dry and flavorless. Even the cheese didn't give it much personality. I'm a fry snob, and these had some sort of spicy/cajun flare (which didn't fit the restaurant personality at all) which I didn't care for at all. I doubt I'll try Hungry's again, there are way better outdoor "Cafe & Bistro's" in this city. read more

Eh, not my favorite place. I do like some of the wraps and love the fact they have healthier options, I just feel it's too expensive for what you get. read more

Went on weekend trip to Houston. Reviewed a lot of Sunday lunch restaurants in town. Hungrys was close to our hotel. Very pretty patio area, and the day we went was beautiful outside. Great cocktails and mimosas. Good little entrees but the menu has no side dish selections. Our waiter took foreeeeeeever!!! Never could find him. And it was not crowded or busy. That really made it sour since we were starving. I liked my food and sangria, just thought the service stinked. read more

Got the harvest flat bread pizza, veggie were fresh but dough was soggy and not well done. They didnt have sweet tea and the only sweeteners contain aspartame no organic or health alternatives. But my issues was the service. Waiter was friendly but ppl seated after us and ordered after us received there food before my friend and I. My pizza was cold. They seemed dismissive and a bit snoody for a waiter. They want to seem upscale but I didn't get that vibe at all. Parking lot looks beat up and full of pot holes. Very overrated... read more

I am a fan of Hungry's, so it pains me to write this review. I ordered online from the Memorial location, mind you my location was not even 10 minutes away, it took more than an HOUR to receive my order. After calling twice and getting the same excuse both times (all our drivers are out, driver is in traffic) mind you there is no school traffic this time of year, I was fed up and asked when the driver was getting to my location and I DO not want COLD food. I was informed the driver was 5 minutes away and my food had been cooked again before it was taken out. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I paid 40 plus tip for COLD FOOD and a driver who asked me what the score of the soccer game was....The food was cold and the service was more than HORRIBLE....no thanks Hungry's on memorial. read more

Went here twice: first visit was okay. Service was slow at first but much better after. Good was good nothing amazing. Second time service was super slow! To awhile to get our order and it wasn't even right. He sent back the dish and left us there. The food wasn't amazing at all. Check took for ever to get to us. I wouldn't go back. It's worth a try at least once, maybe! read more

The vegan options were awesome, and the service was speedy. We had no problems with the waiters, everything was super fast, and it tasted super good, especially since vegan options tend to be on the blander side, this was great! read more

This is an ok brunch spot. So-so food and a little pricy for what it is. In fact, everything on the menu is priced about 20% higher than it's actually worth. Nothing spectacular. read more

The food on the lunch and dinner menu seems to have gone down in quality recently. Their breakfast is still awesome though. Just don't go there on Wednesday nights. They have a new "complimentary valet service" that's mandatory. We talked to the manager and he said it was to cater to the energy corridor happy hour for the bar Next Door. The valet ticket says Infinity Valet doesn't assume ANY responsibility for damage or theft. So there you go! You are forced to use valet and they can damage your car and steal stuff from you without any liability. Good job, Hungry's. Way to make your regular customers feel safe. read more

The absolute worst delivery service ever!!! Work or home, they continue to forget drinks, food, etc. It is not rocket science, why can't they ever get an order right?!? read more

My wife loves this place and their food so she has been here several times. Today was a huge letdown though. My wife was charged separately for a drink...a huge amount that was more then the price of the food order. We were never charged separately for drinks and brought this up to the waiter named Eddie. Eddie was dismissive and really could have cared less about the matter (too bad, so sad attitude). We paid the bill but were not happy and told Eddie that perhaps this should be mentioned to patrons before they order. On another note, Eddie called a friend of ours "baby" and "babe" several times. This really offended her. Giving two stars, however, because the food is great. read more

Went there with my buddy to grab a bite and a drink and to watch the game. The food was good, but the service was absolutely terrible. Our server Aura was inattentive, lazy and looked like she didn't want to be there. The place was not busy at all, but we would go 20 minutes plus between times we would see her. We watched her stand at the bar and sip her drink more than her helping the customers. Bad experience. read more

We were really looking forward to our brunch at Hungry's today, but I'm sorry to say we were disappointed with our experience. The service was really slow, even though the restaurant was mostly empty, and our coffee was barely warm. I ordered the Crab Cakes Eggs Benedict, and the eggs were over cooked, and the potatoes were still a bit raw. I just expect way better when paying $60 for three people, for brunch. I did not bring this to the attention of a manager while I was there, maybe I should have. read more

As an energy corridor employee, I ate here ALL the TIME! I adore the chicken salad, and the turkey and avocado sandwich. The foccacia bread is superb, and their tomato basil soup is good. My group gets catering all the time from here, and while I find the chicken and rice boring, the carrot cake they bring for dessert always delights. -1 star for the prices.... they just keep going up! I have to say I was quite happy when they moved into this new location.. it's quite swanky. But hey, valet guys, quit giving me the evil eye when I choose to park my own car! read more
