This was my first time here & loved it. The place is nice & cozy right off the bat. The waitstaff were all friendly & attentive. I went with my dad who had been there before & thought I would enjoy it too. He wasn't wrong! I had the Classic Grilled Chicken Baguette and it was very delicious. The fries that came with it were ok. I'm not a big fry person, so most fries don't impress me. My dad had the Mediterranean Wrap & it looked delicious. It came with wedge salad. It made me wish I had picked that instead. All the vegetables were very fresh & crisp. I will definitely be back at some point. I wish they had one closer to my house. My first real job was at Hungry's back when it was by kirkwood. I was exposed to Greek food for the first time and continue to love their food. The place is now soccer mom's and no wall of beer. The same manager was there fifteen years later... The gyros are awesome and the Sanka Fe chicken teriyaki is still a favorite of mine. Hungry's is a neighborhood favorite for my friends and family. The brunch menu is amazing, however I usually opt for the Mediterranean wrap off the lunch menu. Their hummus is also a favorite of mine. Conviently connected to the restaurant is "Next Door Lounge". Multiple screens allow for optimial game-day viewing parties. I placed an order online for pickup. When I got to the restaurant, the servers were unable to find part of my order. They assured me they would complete my order quickly. They offered me something to drink while I waited. They completed my order in less than 5 minutes and for the inconvenience, they offered me a free dessert. They were courteous and prompt. Mistakes happen and we are human. The staff handled this minor hiccup in an extremely professional manner. It was Sunday before dark and Hungry's was renovating their main dining area so we were ushered next-door to the bar area. The air conditioning duct dripped onto the table we were taken so we had to move to another table. The help never thought to turn on the overhead lights in the bar area when It got dark. The waiter was helpful enough in ordering, but never checked on us again after he brought our food. The help slammed the chairs together at the table next to us as they cleaned it. It was obvious that the help was tired from the inconvenience of major renovations that were ongoing. I noticed that the prices were very high and the food wasn't that great for the price, so we will never be back... I did not feel welcomed. read more

I left Hungry's just that...HUNGRY! My boyfriend and I sat for 45 minutes without an appetizer or food. The waitress avoided our table and looked at us from afar. The place was fully staffed, and had a FEW people sitting around drinking, last week Friday evening. The staff stood around the bar laughing and talking. As we were leaving, the manager said he didn't realize we had waited so long for food and offered to pay for it. I asked if the food was ready RIGHT NOW- I could see the kitchen computers- our food had never been ordered! As the only African-American couple in both sides of the restaurant, it is difficult not to feel a certain way about this. We will NEVER return. read more

Sad at how anti customer service this place is now. I had the tenderloin tacos and each taco had one piece of meat. Lots of lettuce and jalapeños. $15 later I wasn't full. The rest of the family didn't like theirs as well. Not headed back. Oh and they kept trying to take our plates away while we still had food in our mouths chewing. A big brunch disappointment. Granddaughter ordered kabobs which were dry and the 'grilled' veggies were raw. Rice was tasteless. 95 year old mom loves fried chicken so she ordered the crispy chicken with over easy eggs and potatoes. Potatoes were cold, crispy chicken friend to a crisp allright, and egg yolks hard. I ordered eggs Florentine which traditionally I love. Served on a sliced ciabatta bread that was soggy with some kind of bland sauce, surely wasn't the hollandaise I wanted. Nice (small) patio area. Host and servers were friendly. Website states they are dog friendly so we brought our baby. Turns out it's a lie. They aren't. Menus have conflicting prices between each other so make sure you check your bill when they bring it and point out their mistakes. Mimosas were tasty and refreshing. Food was pretty good as well. I made a Yelp specifically to write about Hungry's because I saw their sticker on the window. From the moment I walked in I knew I loved it. The food was awesome for a great price and our waiter was fantastic, but their hostess is who was truly something else. I'd never been to Hungry's before, but I have been to a lot of different restaurants and seen a lot of different host/esses before (and worked that position so I feel like they don't get enough credit). My husband and I are both big on first impressions. From the moment we walked in the hostess was smiling and greeted us cheerfully. Not a fake smile, she honestly looked thrilled to see us. She hopped -yes, hopped, she was a tiny thing- from her stool the second we walked in and quickly grabbed menus but didn't rush us to a table when my husband asked how she was doing, instead replying that she was doing "fantastic" and laughed when my husband mentioned her great attitude mentioning that she was "pretty happy most of the time". We didn't doubt it. She reminded us of a puppy, just happy about just about everything. When she was seating another table for a regular -he mentioned never seeing her before-, we learned that she was actually new and this was her first week. I really hope Hungry's hangs on to her because she was adorable and we'd really love to see her whenever we come back. Shes a great face to see first thing. Bottom line: host/esses can make or break a restaurant no matter how good the food is and this young lady definitely made it. read more

I absolutely love coming to Hungry's for lunch. I work nearby so it's less than a 5 minute drive. They have both counter service and table service. I typically prefer the table service so I don't have to worry about jumping on an empty table as soon as it opens up. It's a popular lunch spot in the Energy Corridor so get there slightly before 11:30 if you don't want to encounter a wait. Valet is available, but if you drive behind the restaurant there are usually empty spots. I've had several items on the menu. The lamb gyro is delicious with the seasoned fries, the salads are all huge and fresh, and the burgers hit the spot too. They have a good strawberry lemonade as well. We ordered lunch for a colleague's birthday today.I ordered the grilled eggplant pita. The eggplant was not cooked enough so I couldn't even bite through it. The lunch and dinner options are nothing exceptional and pretty much everything on the menu is quite bland. I do like how close it is to home and that they deliver. Their brunch though, is atrociously bad and very slow. This isn't some one time thing either. I've been there thrice now for brunch and each time, we've had to wait for over half hour to get our food. What makes this really bad though, is that each of those times--the food was really bad. My french toast was a soggy mush that was barely edible. Hubby's migas was a bit rubbery. The server was almost always gone and hard to locate. We were without water for a while. The next time I came with a friend and warned her about the French toast, nevertheless she ordered it because she was craving it. She got the same mush. She sent it back and it came back all browned up to the point of being burned. And it was *still* uncooked mush inside. Each of the times, the server was almost nowhere to be found and we had to flag them down for refills on coffee and water. Avoid this place, you are better off eating at IHOP's--at least it is cheaper. read more

I went to Hungry's for lunch with a couple of my friends. The place wasn't that busy for peak lunch hours so we were seated immediately. I had order the spicy shrimp taco with house- made black beans (three flour tortillas containing: shredded cabbage, lettuce mixed in a honey habanero aioli sauce) for 13.00. Even though it was a bit pricey for a lunch entrée it was delicious! One of my friends ordered a Gyro pita with hand-cut fries for 12.00. Again a bit pricey for a lunch menu but they really enjoyed their meal, especially the hand-cut fries! Overall service was great from the free valet to the waiter assisting us on every need. Every time we go it gets bad to worst. We just left. It took 15 mins to get greeted once we sat down. There was a server around us that would smile but never come over. Lol When a server did come by he gave us excuses about why he wasn't there sooner . I told him that's not our problem. My 'mammas meatloaf was half the size. And my son Jimmys quesadillas was weirdly small. ( I stopped and got him burger king after). After eating I ordered another side of fries for the kids. He took my glass to refill and didn't bring it back until he had the order if fries. The fries were very hot, straight from the frier( which usually is awesome and I had said Yay!) but they had a little problem... They had a few spots of ketcup on them!!! Used fries ! Gross!!! The manager ( dressed like she was at home watching tv - jeans and reg shirt) after she heard out complaints said she was sorry. We kept looking at her so she said 'what do you expect me to do?' Lol wait.... What? Did she really just say that? I went into a long speech about training her people to communicate with customers and with her. If customers find stuff in their food or anything else they should show the manager. She had said she had not seen it. I left with my kids. My husband stayed to pay the bill. Absolutely will NEVER spend another penny with this place. Ordered online at 7:17pm and after 1.5 hours out food still hadn't arrived - 8:40 pm. I finally called and whoever I just spoke with was a TOTAL jerk! He said "I'm the one who gives discounts if you want to speak up!" As I was telling him we didn't even want the food anymore but if he wanted to give us a fair discount we would go ahead and pay and take it. We had already snacked so much waiting over 1.5 hours for our food to arrive. Who does that? Who gets rude and inconsiderate with a customer when THEY MAKE THE MISTAKE?! On top of this out of the last 3 times we have ordered they have messed up on 2. We said we wouldn't order again the last time they screwed up and we did purely out of limited other delievery options in our area but this is the end. Never again.
