Oh Hungry's. The office loves you for delivering relatively inexpensive catering. There's nothing overtly wrong with you - you're just so un-inspired. Salads and grilled meats - oohh you serve pita bread? Exotic. Your spice cabinet could use a tune up - I've never tasted more than salt and peppers in your food. Neutral, unoffensive food, perfect for corporate catering and little more. For the Road Warriors: AMEX Accepted In and Out in Under 60? - Potentially, but better not risk it - lunch time is inexplicably busy read more

I had the quinoa salad and it did not come out right. It was missing several of the ingredients that were listed in the menu and had several added that weren't listed. It was a mix of the two salads on the menu and the waiter never checked back after he dropped the food off. Terrible service and disappointing meal. Won't be going back. read more

Such good food it's hard to try new things because you know what you like is amazing! The strawberry lemonade is probably the best I've had and the gyro is so good! The fries that come with it are fresh, hot and they give you a large portion. We always get the hummus too and you get lots of pita bread with it along with celery. Just typing this makes me want to go back!! The portions are huge and you can definitely take home food or split entrees. read more

I came here while in town for my boyfriend's high school reunion. We came for lunch and it was PACKED on a weekday. I was shocked and I recall asking my dining partners if any of these people had jobs, I mean, I know it's a bad economy and all. For lunch I ordered a veggie wrap with rice, and it was alright, not great. The thing that really sticks out for me about my experience here was the poor service. I remember them not being very attentive and would take what seemed like 20 minutes to bring me a knife or a refill on water. Again, just okay...I'm sure there's better in the area. read more

This place is a definite no go for brunch on Sundays. The service is pretty horrible, and dear god the food here is horrendous. Not to mention that they don't know how to make anything beyond a basic expresso or coffee. The girlfriend asked for a macchiato and they had no clue how to make it. She settled for an expresso and they didn't even ask if she wanted a single or double. Sad news. The food itself was pretty bad too, I asked for over easy eggs and seemed to get a fried egg without a runny yolk, loads of over fried (what looked like pre cooked) bacon, and old looking fruit. They had loads of servers standing around too, looked super awkward as the place was mostly empty, and we still had bad service. read more

It was alright. First off, our table was sticky and it had to be cleaned after we had already been seated. The House Lemonade was very good as a starter. We ordered the Goat Cheese appetizer and we enjoyed that. The dinner entree was another story. We had chicken fried chicken with poblano cream sauce. It was over cooked and a little tough. The place was really busy but we had to look for our waiter several times. It was ok but would not make a special trip back. read more

Very Expensive, I payed 16$ for the most bang average meal ive had, the staff are super professional and straight to the point like I prefer, but when it comes to the food its fair, its really hard to mess up rice and beans, the quinoa patty was spectacular , but the side vegetables were pickled so I know they weren't the freshest they could be, my main concern here is that the price tag honestly doesn't meet the standards, the area the restaurant is in is inconvenient due to construction, the food was average, not an ideal spot to come daily. read more

Short version: Mediocre food, poor service except for the manager and sweet potato save. Long version: Are you invisible because you are dining alone? Why can't a person enjoy a nice meal solo? Evidently the answers to those questions at Hungry's are: Why, yes, you are invisible and you can't enjoy a nice meal alone because- well, you are invisible. I have been sitting on the patio for 17 minutes. Servers walking by, one of them doing their hair inside and then checking on their table. No one has said a word to me since the hostess seated me. I cut restaurants slack these days when obviously understaffed - but that does not seem to be the case here - lots of staff chatting with each other. Finally just as I am typing this because I am trying to decide where I am going to go now and need someway to spend my time since I am obviously not eating, who I presume to be the manager makes a sweep thru the patio, checking on tables. She asks how I'm doing. I'm not invisible!!! (Or maybe it was just that a solo table isn't a big enough tip? Little do they know I was going to order $28 braised short rib to go in addition to my meal.) Well I tell her. I am 20 minutes in at this point, Can this meal be saved? She tells me her name Crystal/Kristel? And asks mine. Brilliant. She asks what she can bring me to drink and asks if I'm ready to order. Of course I am, I have been sitting here memorizing the menu for 20 minutes. She tells me she or N. will be taking care of me. N has already walked (run) past my table 3 times while serving the tables around me. I think N is scared of me because they are abrupt at best. My shrimp tacos come out very quickly, my Lunardi Pinot is pretty tasty. The sweet potato fries come out later. The tacos are ok - lots of slaw, little Cajun and little shrimp, but they are fine. The SP fries - the highlight of the meal. N drops them and runs but Crystal/Kristle knows to check in and ask if I need anything else like ketchup. She is very good. C/K, the wine and the sweet potato fries save the meal. They are 5 star. The bill comes, Silly me - I kinda thought when I was asked what she could get me to drink, she was comping my wine. Nope. $57 later I am on my way. I have been here several times before either as a couple or family. The service can always be a bit slow but this was just crazy. read more

Best cauliflower pizza crust I've ever had! Ever! I asked several times to make sure as it tasted so good!

Love this place! Has great vegan menu. Nice atmosphere and the waiters are ALWAYS FRIENDLY

My sister and I met up here for lunch. I knew I wanted food that tastes fresh and wasn't too heavy so we decided on Hungrys. Waiter was nice and attentive, atmosphere was good, food was tasty and fresh. I got the Greek salad with the lamb and beef (delicious), we also got some spinach artichoke dip, sister got a chicken wrap. Everything was good. I've been here be4 and got the gyro plate which was good also. read more

Stephen Y and I hit this place up recently when we wanted to get a quick lunch before running errands. When we went it was packed since everyone was getting out of church, but we managed to get seated pretty quickly. We decided to split a gyro pita and an iceberg wedge salad...half unhealthy, half healthy. The gyro was stuffed full of meat, tomatoes, and onions, and sauce. The meat was juicy and soft...mmmm just thinking about it makes me drool!! The fries had a good seasoning on them as well. The wedge salad was fresh and huge! It came with pieces of bacon, cucumbers, and tomatoes. The feta cheese jalapeno dressing that comes with it is one of the better dressings Stephen Y. says he has ever had. In fact, he thought it was so good, he ended up dipping the fries in it! We decided we need to come back here more often for a nice, quick lunch! read more

I love Hungry's! The food is great, and it is easy to find things for restrictive diets (like gluten free and vegan). They handled the water boil order really well this past weekend. One of the waiters, Curtis, is particularly excellent. read more

Love the venue.. Walk in and it's a beautiful, great seating, great ambience. In that regard the place is 5 stars. Service was exceptional..hate that I can not remember my servers name but he was great, made sure we were taken care of at all times and was very personable. The food was honestly just ok though, I was underwhelmed, I wanted to like the food more due to the other 2 factors, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't great by any means. I love food and I ate it all..lol. But it was honestly average as far as food is concerned. The sangria was good though so I'm interested to go back and try other things and drinks due to the venue and the service. All in all I left uninspired but I wouldn't mind trying it again. read more

Quick brunch place for the neighborhood. Could use a few more brunch cocktails. Brunch means Booz. The food selection is grand but the food is just okay. If i wanted a non boozy brunch and didn't feel like driving closer to the city, I'd definitely go here. read more

I recently went there for lunch, on a cold Saturday afternoon. I guess during the week, you order at the counter and then find a table. On the weekend, they seat you, take your order and bring you your food. I ordered a Baja Chicken Wrap. It was served with a HUGE wedge salad with a jalapeno ranch dressing. Damn Yummy! The wrap had chicken, black beans, avocado, some feta and a great chipotle chili sauce. Great iced tea too. Solid lunch place, with a great variety of items. The portions are huge too. I'll definitely visit this place again. read more

Host service was indifferent. Server was good, attentive, nice, checked in not infrequently. Had the gyro plate, salmon wedge salad and waffles. Nothing really outstanding. Pita was dry, out of a bag? Meat was abundant but greasy. Fry's fresh but soggy. Plates of veggies for the gyro plate just seemed to throw on atypical middle-eastern inspired fair but just missed the mark with the whole plate. Sorry to say I wouldn't likely go back. read more

Great place for semi-healthy food in the Energy Corridor with decent cocktails. I'm a big fan of the Kale Salad (I know, I'm rolling my eyes at myself), with shrimp added on top. It isn't cheap, but really worth it because all of the ingredients are fresh and the shrimp is cooked perfectly. I usually pair this with a glass of their sparkling rose. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the outdoor patio is refreshing for a cooler day. They did a good job trying to mask some of the road noise on Memorial. There is plenty of parking in the back, but now it is all valet instead of self-parking, which is really annoying. It is worth mentioning is that sometimes the ladies room is a little messy and there is a kind of strange sewage smell like there might be a plumbing problem somewhere. read more

Well I have eaten at many places, and when I saw some one else post something about eggs Benedict, I just had to write something. While I do also love eggs Benedict, it's not the best I have tasted. While good, I felt that it needed more seasoning of basic salt and pepper. I have eaten it here in the past and let me say today was a far improvement. As many dishes at this restaurant they try to be so many things to so many people. I understand that is this competitive industry. The food is always good enough to eat, but always tends to miss something. Its like saying, " I can make this at home". But they do well for not really specializing in a particular type of cuisine. Keep trying and learning along the way. You will get there. The great American spirit! Never give up or die trying. read more

I've been eating at Hungry's for about 3 years now but had brunch for only the 2nd time yesterday and it was AMAZING. I wanted to go brunchin' in the Heights somewhere so I could sit on the patio and sip on a mimosa while watching football. However, my guy wanted to stay close to home so Hungry's we went (I just really wanted their Strawberry mimosa). He had the eggs benedict which was served with red potatoes and fruit. I had the quinoa kale patties (gluten free, veg) which was served with a side salad and fruit. Both were incredibly delicious and pretty much guilt free. They have a large patio area although it gets pretty packed on Saturday/Sunday for brunch. Drinks are a little pricey ($6 mimosa/ $25 carafe mimosa, $7 bloody mary) but worth it. read more

One of the worst restaurant experiences lmaooo. 1st the manger came over and told me to put my WATER BOTTLE in my car.... 2. The water they provided tasted like toilet water (hence why I carry a 32 oz water bottle everywhere I go, yes I stay hydrated) 3. our food comes and 2 orders were wrong. We both said no cheese and mine actually came with extra cheese smh. 4. My sandwich on the menu said it had hummus on it... but that was a lie straight from the pit of hell. Absolutely no hummus. 5. My boss said that this place won't deliver "kids meals" to commercial properties... they spent over 200$ yet had an issue with someone wanting chicken strips. Smh this place is SNOOTIE! Stay humble. Remain teachable. I will never return here. Highly don't recommend. If it wasn't for the people I was with, I would have left the second the manager told me to put my WATER BOTTLE in the car. read more

I have had takeout here before, and was surprised how nice the environment was. I came back for brunch and it solidified my likeness of it

Their burgers are hearty, my chipotle chicken wrap, not impressed. It tastes good, but where's the chipotle? The waitress verified my order, although it's not spicy. At all. Still tastes good though. The quantity is sufficient and the atmosphere, lively for lunch. Overall, the food was good, but I didn't like their service much. read more

Serves French food as well as bar food for the bar next door called..... Next Door. They also have other non French items such as chicken fried chicken and burgers. They have week day lunch specials. This location needs to step up its game service-wise. Food is mostly good, much like the Rice Village location. Appetizers here are almost as expensive as entrees, and they are nothing to write home about. We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip...there was way too much spinach and not enough artichoke or cheese, it was impossible to dip the tortilla chips without them crumbling. I was more pleased with the entrees. The husband got his burger the way he liked (medium rare), and I really liked my meatloaf. It's all beef, and the chunky tomato sauce complimented it well, it wasn't too acidic or sweet. The meatloaf had the perfect texture too. And the sides! The garlic mashed potatoes were topped with a creamy mushroom sauce...it was delicious. The green beans were a little softer too, which I liked. We had a difficult time getting drink refills, we were without soda for a good fifteen minutes. It was not a busy night at all, but our server was nowhere to be seen. I probably will come back, but I'll take my meal to go! read more

This is another place that few of my co-workers and I go for lunch on the weekdays. We always have to get here early because they have a limited spaces for parking. Although, they do have complementary valet service if you can't find parking. So, during lunch you have the option to either sit down and have waiter/waitress service or order your food up at the kitchen. We tend to just go up to the bar to order our food. Whenever I come here, I tend to always get their honey glazed salmon wrap with a side salad. Their honey glazed salmon wrap is always cooked perfectly and when you take your first bite into it, the salmon just melts in your mouth. Whenever we come here, I just know that i'm eating something really healthy and I like that feeling. The reason why I'm giving this place a 3 stars instead of a 5 is because of their lack of customer service. It just seems like when we get our food, they are hovering over us and seeing if we are finished so they can clean our table and we can leave. I'm not sure if they do this with anyone but it just seems that this has happened to us a couple of times either if we sit down and have waiter/waitress service or ordered at the bar first. Customer service- 2/5 stars Food- 4/5 stars Ambiance (felt hurried)- 2/5 stars read more

Husband and I came here for Brunch & really enjoyed it. The Chicken Apple Sausage is really good. Nice sweet mild flavor & not greasy at all. The Pita Bread that came with his entree was really good. It made me want to come back for a Gyro sometime soon. I had the Crab Cakes Benedict. The crab cakes were pretty good. Not as much crab as I would have liked & more breading that needed, but it had a nice flavor to it & the sauce was perfect & the eggs were poached just right. The potatoes had good seasoning & were cooked just enough, not to hard & not too soft. My Strawberry Mimosa was OK but I like a bit more Champagne. The place was very nice inside, great patio & our service was prompt and the food came out quickly. read more

Had brunch with a friend -- crab cake Benedict and goat cheese omelet were fantastic. Our server, Laylah, was fantastic and super attentive.

I must admit, I get the same entree every time. Sizzling Honey Ginger Glazed Salmon served with lentil rice, and seasonal veggies. So good- every time !! Service is hit or miss. Great atmosphere for families, very causal feel. read more

We came for brunch and had no trouble getting a seat. My girlfriend recommended the burger since she had been here before and knew the burger was good. I ordered the 1/2 lb. smoke house burger medium rare. I'm pretty big on burgers, so to be fair I'm a little bit of a critic. It certainly wasn't the best burger I've tried, but it was tasty and evenly made. It wasn't overly cooked, nor undercooked. The presentation was an A. My problem was the bread to meat ratio. There was too much bread for what meat was available. The meat was good, but a bit dry. Some burgers get messy from meat juice. This one got messy from the condiments and tomatoes. The fries came with a nice seasoning. I would say overall it was about a 7.5 out of 10 burger. read more

As often as I visit Hungry's, I never remember to write a review. The food and service at this location is superb. I often get take out during my lunch break or late at night during the week on my way home from church. My favorite dish is the kale salad with chicken or salmon if I feel like splurging. The salad is so good that I crave it several times a week. It's on the pricey side for a salad especially when you add protein so I usually only get it once a week. I recently ordered the Penne Rustica for my husband with sausage. I had a taste of it and it was amazing as well although not nearly as healthy as my kale :-). read more

I Love Hungry's. A go to for lunch for anyone in the Energy Corridor area. I always get the spicy shrimp tacos, no aioli and sub in jalapeño ranch. Healthy fresh and relatively quick. I came here to second a review left a few months ago. This food is BLAND. We went yesterday for Mother's Day and had an overall ok experience. I had the Croissant Egg Sandwich and a Belgian Waffle. My mom had the Vegan Cowboy with Seitan Steak and the rest of my party had the Traditional Breakfast. I gave this place 3 stars because the atmosphere was nice, our waitress was superb, and the food presentation was well done. They had good food combinations. All of the food items that they paired together would have tasted great if it would have been seasoned properly. Ironically, they did not have salt and pepper shakers on the table. The absence of salt and pepper shakers may have been because we were not inside though, we were on the back patio. Which brings me to another problem. I'm assuming the back patio must be near the trash cans or something, because once the wind picked up it would start to smell like garbage. The smell only reached us when the wind was blowing just right and that did not happen while we were eating our food, so it didn't have a serious affect on the experience. If I were ever planning on going back though, I would ask to not be seated back there. I have zero intentions of going back however. I should not have to re-season my entire plate. I've been binge watching Worst Cooks in America and I feel like siccing Anne Burrell on them. I spoke with the rest of my party, and they all agreed the food lacked seasoning and no one would like to give it a second try. The highlight of the visit was Layla, our waitress. She was a mom working on Mother's day and she was very sweet towards my wayward nephew. She was prompt and efficient. I have no complaints about her. To whoever responds to these reviews, your comments made it seem like you guys just shrugged off the other review I saw. Hopefully if you get enough complaints about the lack of seasoning you guys will do something about it. I wrote this review for you guys; and also to warn folks that like tasty *flavorful* food to try a different restaurant. If you're just looking for a chill place with decent food that you don't mind reseasoning then this is the place for you. read more

I heard a lot about Hungry's so I thought I would try it. The restaurant has a cool hipster vibe which I like but the food is not so great. All of their traditional meals have a southwestern twist that I didn't expect or really enjoy haha. I had the french toast which was grilled croissants with syrup. It was very bready and not very flavorful. I also tried some steak and eggs, the steak was chewy and not high quality. The eggs were average. Overall I was a little disappointed. read more
