My first delivery during quarantine! I was missing chicken and broccoli!! The lunch is amazing for the price and the size is perfect for two meals. The chicken breast is always so fresh and delicious. Fresh Veg! They always accommodate my "crazy" like sweet and sour chicken, not fried or battered, just white chicken breast in the sauce and extra veg with no rice. The menu on Uber Eats does not have descriptions with detail. I had Neptune delight which was not good. The flavor of the mystery brown sauce was almost inedible. the shrimp wraps was the best part of the meal. Ordered pick up and was right smack on time. My to go bag was sitting on a table in the breezeway which seemed safe enough. Ordered on line with little effort, so that's good. Lots of dishes on the menu!!! I picked moo goo gai pan lunch. Even tho MGGP is generally in a white sauce, this one was in a brown sauce. But It stated it in the menu, so there wasn't a surprise. Sadly, the dish just lacked flavor. I added soy sauce, but still it was bland. The rice was nicely sticky, tho. I will try them again tho, but I wont order this again. Just visited Hunan Ranch for the first time & couldn't have been more pleased with the service & especially our meal. The Beef with Broccoli, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Fried Rice & Beef Lo Mein were out of this world! Best Chinese dinner we've had in a while! One word of advice though...unless you plan on taking leftovers home or are big eaters, you might want to consider sharing a plate of the main course & a plate of Lo Mein! I stopped by here for lunch b/c I always go to Summermoon to get out of the house. I'm not too impressed. They have the typical lunch specials. I got their Kung Pao chicken. It's was ok. It didn't have that much Pao to it (not very spicy). I got the wonton soup b/c I like to see if there's a place that make it well, now i know that it's never going to be good with a lunch special, the filling is tiny and the wrapper is huge. You're really just eating the wrapper at that point. The broth was okay, nothing significant. The eggroll is actually not that bad. With the sweet and sour sauce, it was pretty good, nice and crispy. All in all, I probably won't be back. There's so many other chinese places to try out. I'm glad I gave it a try so I don't have to wonder about it. Wow, this place is incredible! I have been going here for years now and it never fails to impress. The food here never gets old no matter how much I eat here. The quality and taste of the food is amazing! I have invited friends over several times and all of them always tell me how much they love it, and they tell me they recommend it to all their friends. The waiters here are skilled, fast, efficient, and most importantly very kind. The restaurant itself is also very calming and is a nice environment for a date or just to hang out with family or friends. Lastly, they have a large variety of foods on their menu, which is very rare for me since I am a vegan and don't eat much while out at restaurants since they usually don't have and vegan food. Very standard Chinese fare, maybe even slightly below average. The won ton soup was flavorless, the low mein was equally as bland, and the egg rolls could have been from the frozen food aisle. Based on the food this place should get 2 stars on quality but this restaurant lost an additional star for charging for crispy noodles with the wonton soup. Seriously? I have NEVER had a restaurant charge me for crispy noodle strips to sprinkle on soup. Very petty. Someone else wrote that you are better off heading to Panda Express....I totally agree. Some friends mentioned how much they liked this place, and we looked them up on Yelp and realized we'd been there and liked it...and for some reason they'd fallen off our radar, they're back on our radar now and after today's refresher visit...they should stay there. My lovely wife and I shared 2 appetizers, an entrée and a couple bowls of wonton soup...all of it was excellent. The wonton soup had tasty broth and good large wontons....kind of al dente wontons which is way better than soggy. The General Tso's chicken came with sauted onions, bell peppers, and broccoli, excellent Tso's. The crab Rangoon was top notch and the hunan ranch wings had good taste and crunch, the only thing that could be improved...larger glasses of tea, and maybe a lunch menu on weekends, the service was as good as the food. read more

I understand the hard work it is to run a business, and that everything depends on references or reviews--hence I hope this review sparks changes for the better. --- As others have said, you're better off with Panda Express than what this place offers. We ordered on a Friday afternoon to be delivered 3 miles away from this restaurant's location, since phone call placed to delivery it took them an hour and 48 minutes, almost 2 hours. The food was warm, that was a plus. Appetizers: We ordered the egg rolls (these looked like the frozen ones you get at HEB, truly horrendous compared to Panda Express). We also ordered the dumplings. I've never seen something like it I don't know what the sauce was, smelled weird, the dumplings had no filling. Main dish: We got the Teriyaki Chicken and Sesame Beef. Teriyaki Chicken was 2/10. The only thing that made it eatable was the sesame seeds they put on there. Sesame Beef was 1/10, even worse, the beef wasn't beef? The consistency felt like the pork rinds when you let them sit in sauce, very mushy, didn't taste or felt like beef at all. The sauces for both the teriyaki and sesame beef need fixing, I can't believe the only good thing were the sesame seeds. I don't think I agree adding the fried rice is an additional dollar considering their prices. The fried rice was a mix, the fried rice in one of the food pails was very good and the other one was tasteless. Maybe I'll order again next year to see if anything changed. read more

So in our exploration of Austin, I wanted some Chinese food. This was the closest place nearby us & with pretty good ratings. I've gone here twice & had the pan fried noodles & shrimp fried rice in both occasions. Both were excellent, flavorful, fresh & clean with the tastiness. Another new adventure......a hankering for Chinese food in our area and decided to try somewhere different. It was 7:00pm on a Friday evening and no diners indoors, all call in orders. Wait staff were very nice and attentive. Apologies ahead for no pics, I forgot my phone ugh. We had the crab rangoon (4), egg rolls, mushu pork, husband had the sweet and sour pork, wonton soup and I had the stir fried combo noodles. The rangoons were basic, the egg rolls had glass noodles and vegetables and if there was meat, it was sparse but tasty. The portions for the sweet and sour pork were very generous but not my thing, the vegetables with it were close to raw, barely cooked, I like al dente, but they seemed chopped and garnished in the dish. The mushu pork was tender and tasty, the pancakes were not warm so it was cracking when filled and rolled. The stir fried noodles had a good flavor however I wasn't thrilled with the noodles absorbing the sauce then giving a spongy texture rather than a crispy texture. It may have been better with a finer noodle, the thickness was like an udon noodle. All in all, the food was better than others in the cedar park/Leander eateries, I'm still searching for my go to for Chinese. read more

I live in the neighborhood and had my daughter order some food for her Birthday as she wanted Chinese Take Out. When I got there I left my phone in the car and gave her my daughters name to pickup the order. Come to find out they didn't even get her name so I grabbed my phone to get my daughters number. When the gave me the food and bill there was a gratuity added to the bill????? A tip is something you leave if you feel you have had great service. Gratuity is something you add to make sure that the amount of service gets paid for. If you want more money for your food you charge more. If you want a tip or gratuity at least ask for your customers name. This is an outright scam charging gratuity for take out. BUYER BEWARE. read more

Delivery was great, the restaurant took instructions and didn't put meat in the dishes I wanted without meat (vegetarian). Food was kind of bland and lacked level seasoning I like. Simply put, great Chinese food in good portions and in a nice location. There are not many things that you can do in strip centers surrounded by a landscape of parking lot, and odd shops; but here, they give you a good place to have great food in a very comfortable atmosphere. I live in the area, and it is very convienent to just place an order and have it ready upon arrival. They recently added the Sushi Bar.. and it completely makes me want to come back for more when I have time to actually sit down (lol). The last time I ordered the Buddha's Delight (requested it Spicy) with steamed rice. It is an all vegetable dish and they added some Tofu. Odd as it seems my body was craving the veggies..and no meat; well it was thoroughly pleased, and I was filled. They have lots of beers on the menu, and started with the lettuce wrap. Not as good as some other places, but good enough. Ordered the Neptune Delight lunch special. Our favorite dishes here are the pork with garlic sauce and shrimp fried rice. Tell them to leave out the peas and carrots, and the fried rice will be perfect. It's the only Chinese restaurant that uses bean sprouts in their fried rice which is so good...tons of smoky wok-seared flavor that's nearly impossible to replicate at home. Some of their beef dishes have beef cut into strips that are tough and chewy, so we avoid those. Moo goo gai pan and chicken with snow peas taste almost identical with same bland white sauce. In fact, the chicken dishes have hardly any white sauce, so both tend to be dry and flavorless. It's nice that they give you free egg rolls for takeouts, but I wish they'd use cabbage and pork in their fillings instead of mung bean noodles. read more

They serve big portion, but not authentic Chinese food, more like American Chinese food. Not spicy either, you have to ask more spices. As a Chinese restaurant, it's pretty clean and well decorated. They have big pictures of Chinese views on the wall. And all tables have granite surface. You don't see that in other Chinese restaurants. All waitress are Chinese, and I talked to them too. I asked my waitress which dish is like Asia Market because I love Asia Market food. The answer is none of them. Sad. Like other Chinese restaurant, they put live fishes tank in front. But in China, those fishes are for cooking. You pick the fish you want, and they catch it from the tank, then send it to kitchen. So you will have fresh seafood dish. Not in US. Food are OK, I think Americans probably will like it and also I couldn't finish one dish because the portion is so big. They are all around $8-$10. read more

I just had the most horrible experience from start to finish at Hunan Ranch. Our waiter was absolutely the rudest waitperson I have ever had. He started to take our food order before we had been asked for our drink order. He walked off without a word when we asked for drinks while we were still giving him the rest of our order. When he came back to take our food order, I had barely spoken my order when "Edward" yanked the still open menu from my hand, dragging it across the table and flicking water in my face in the process as he rushed off. I would have left right then, but my friend had really wanted to come here. We got our crab rangoons which were surprisingly good, but my Hunan beef was inedible. The sauce was supposed to be spicy, but it was flavorless and the beef was gray. I couldn't eat it, and when I told the waiter it wasn't good, he ignored my comment and walked off. I tried to order food from here a few weeks ago through their app. The app let me choose to pay in cash. A couple minutes later I got a call and they said I can't pay in cash, and asked if I wanted to pay with a card or cancel my order. I told them I didn't have money on my card at the time so I needed to cancel my order. They said okay and hung up, they then called me 2 more times telling me to give them my card information while I kept telling them to cancel my order, as I couldn't pay on my card at the moment. Fast forward to today, and since I had money on my card now I decided to try again. I ordered seasame chicken with fried rice and then lo main and spicy dumplings. When the food arrived most of the liquid from the spicy dumplings had spilled out and was all over everything else, not only this but what's left in the container looks like nothing but chili pepper and oil. And then there was something wrong with the lo main, it both smelled and tasted spoiled. However since we didn't have any more food in the house my roommate decided to try and eat the lo main anyways and he got sick.
