Egg roll was just mush inside, sent it back, Ordered the Curry chicken- very bland curry flavor and didn't like the way that carrots were little tiny squares, just a few sliced potatoes, not chunks, not good at all, sorry I didn't send it back too.

Came here while visiting Austin. There is free parking , no wait time and service was friendly and prompt. Wife enjoyed the hot and sour soup but the best was the chicken corn soup it was so delicious. We shared a fried egg roll same as others restaurants. Wife had the sesame chicken and got it spicy which is was. The chicken was tender and the fish was delicious. I tried the Mongolian beef, meat was very tender strips with onions and bell peppers which were fresh and crisp and not overly cooked. It was spicy as I kept drinking water lol but addictive. The fried rice was tender and helped with neutralize my palate from the hotness lol. Definitely recommend

We went on Christmas Day and they were completely slammed! Workers were almost running trying to get everyone's orders, drinks, seated etc. The food was slow to come out but we didn't mind because obviously this was a different situation due to it being a day when most places are closed. The Happy Family plate was really good and the fried rice was tender and flavored well. My husband ordered the Kung Pao chicken it has a lot of peanuts on it next time we will ask for no nuts. Rangoons are a little more on the sweeter side and the egg rolls were really good. I don't recommend the sweet tea it was just like sugar water there was hardly any actual tea in it. The employees were really friendly and definitely hard workers.

Not to be confused with Human Ranch, which is ranch dressing, you guessed it, made out of humans. Oooooooo. This is the restaurant that also has a Bubble Tea shop inside called Snowy Tea and it seems pretty cool and has a really cute server - and I'll definitely be back to try more dishes in the future. Not cheap but then neither am I. Most of the time.

I enjoyed the crab ragoons! But the rest of the food wasn't very good. Still looking for a good Chinese place.

back to the noodle tour found this spot on yelp and check it…read moreout, this is the triple crown. it is cheap, good, and no tip. the place is setup like a food court essentially. you go up to the cashier to order and get a number for your table. then, someone will bring your food to you. you go to this area to get all your utencils like chopsticks, spoon, bowl, tray...etc thus, no tip. straight up china style. i order the suan chai or sour/pickle cabbage fatty beef noodle. the actual translation. wow, 14bucks, the xiao long bao was 12 bucks total under 30. everything was really good. really generous on the meat. the noodle was freshly pulled. it has the Q. the xiao long bao seems to be freshly made as well. they were bigger size than the taiwanese ones. gotta tear the skin and let some soup flow out, else u get burn if you just eat the whole thing and let the hot soup burst in your mouth. happened many times. i now always tear a piece of skin to let the soup out into the spoon holding the bao and drink it and let it cool a little before engulfing it.

I've had this place Julie's Noodles on my must go list for a long time (cause everyone says it is…read morethe best noodles in austin) and i just found myself going to the grand opening of a new Japanese general store called EBISU in the same strip mall. As i left EBISU, Julie's was across the parking lot so i finally went. Only the big table was available so i sat and a nice young couple sat with me and ordered so much stuff that they shared and i got to try the dumplings, scallion pancakes, and the chicken chow mien which i had ordered for myself. The food was was pretty good! I was overwhelmed with options and picked the Stewed Chicken Chow Mein which I enjoyed but next time will get something a bit spicier. Like I said the couple sitting with me shared a pork dumpling and and some scallion pancakes with me and were both really delicious and when I go back again I'll likely get them. The staff is really nice and the woman at the counter was sweet and asked permission to put other customers at the large table I was sitting at. Which I was happy to do especially since I was eating alone. I did feel sick the rest of the day so I knocked off a point. Hopefully it's just that my stomach doesn't digest noodles fast enough and next time I'll try dumplings or a rice dish.

I ordered hot and sour pork soup. I had never had hot and sour soup with meat. Portions were generous, ingredients fresh, and the food arrived smoking hot. The noodles were soft, smooth and flavorful. The pork inside looked like tiny meatballs. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the restaurant was completely full and customers were continuing to flow in. Because the restaurant is rather small, I had to wait about 20 minutes for my order. Jim, one of the owners, said if I had ordered 3 items it would take about 45 minutes, that's why I went with one. You could easily tell that many folks at the restaurant were regulars, which means the food, service or both were exceptional. Definitely will be returning to Three Gorges...

Family…read morestyle, big portions at a good price point. - Cumin Lamb: A heaping pile of thinly sliced lamb that is tender mixed in with cumin seeds, sichuan peppercorns, fresh cilantro, and red chilis. The cumin seeds give it that signature earthy, aromatic flavor and you get a slight tingly numbing spice sensation from the chilis and peppercorn. The lamb is not overly gamey, but it still does taste like lamb so if you are not really a lamb fan, I'd choose something else. - Jumping Fish: A very popular dish! Tender white fish fillets that is so soft it melts in your mouth. It is in a flavorful oil and broth that is refreshing from the fresh jalapenos. It is a savory dish, yet still relatively mild. It commes with napa cabbage as well! This was my favorite dish and I loved the flavor combined with the white rice. - Mapo Tofu (Vegetarian): They have one with pork as well, but I got the vegetarian version. Silky soft tofu cubes in that signature mapo tofu sauce and numbing peppercorns. Despite the appearance of all the dishes, none of them were very spicy. Overall, a comforting soft, spicy, savory dish with a slight tingle. - Eggplant in garlic sauce: A deliciously sweet and umami garlic sauce. The eggplants could have been a bit more cooked through in my opinion though since it was still quite firm. I loved it still! Note that all the dishes to me were not spicy just had an underlying subtle spice or tingle (like a finishing flavor note if you will). Also, since it is sichuan the dishes are on the oilier side. You order with the cashier at the front and pay up front as well. Food comes out quickly. It is a small space with three rows of tables (maybe around 12-15 tables give or take), so it does fill up fast. I went at around 5:40 PM on a Thursday and there was no wait, but by the time we finished eating at around 7PM, the restaurant was full. House of Three Gorges was hyped up a lot on my social media feed and through word of mouth, so I came in with high expectations. Luckily, they did not disappoint.
