Within 20 minutes we received our text and were seated. The ambiance was fun and relaxing to the seating to the music, all a good vibe. Our waiter, Preston, was amazing. From start to finish he brought the energy and recommended a few things! White Sangria was amazing. Make sure to get the biscuits and you'll need more because they are . We shared the street corn nachos and you'll have to try the freshest jalapeños on them, by far the best nachos ever! I kept with the theme and did the Al pastor tacos but with grilled chicken plus queso and chips on the side! Stuffed and amazed at how quick yet fresh and delicious everything was. Every single person kept saying how great their meal was. Danielle, the manager even stopped by to make sure everyone was taken care of! After an amazing meal like that we had to try the desserts, the butter cake and banana were both great but definitely think if you only get one, the butter cake is where it's at. I will absolutely make sure to plan a visit here on my next trip.

Great vibes, disappointing service and execution Came here…read morefor a company dinner after a long, rough day, and I was really hoping Kitchen Social would be the reset we needed. The ambiance was definitely vibey and perfect for socializing, with a lively atmosphere that fit our group of 13 well. Unfortunately, everything after the hostess stand went downhill on the service side. Our server felt disengaged from the start and rarely checked on us. It was hard to tell if we'd said something wrong or if he was just having an off night, but even after asking other staff members to send him over, he never came back to check on our table. With automatic gratuity already added for a large party, it was disappointing to experience such minimal attention and care. What I had: * Mediterranean Salmon (shared): The portion split felt more like 75/25 than an even share, which was a little odd for something asked to be split. The salmon itself was decent, but the hummus quickly overpowered the dish if you mixed everything together. * Teriyaki Ribeye: I requested medium rare and received a steak well past well-done, dry enough that it was basically inedible. It almost tasted like it had been reheated rather than freshly cooked. Since our server never checked in, I had to flag someone else down to get it replaced, and the remake took about 15 minutes to arrive--even though the cut was thin and already marinated. * Old Fashioned: The cocktail came out quite watered down, with very little depth of flavor. I would've asked for it to be remade, but again, our server was nowhere to be found. The bar program also felt surprisingly limited for a place that leans into a social, cocktail-forward vibe, which added to the letdown. Between the uneven service, lack of follow-through, and several misses on the food and drinks, it's hard to say I'd rush back--especially when there are so many other strong options in Columbus.

This was a great first date spot!…read more We were looking for a classy place to enjoy a great steak. I had heard good things about Polaris Grill, and it delivered. The bread was the only thing that wasn't excellent. It just seemed out of place. Everything else, from the salad (killer dressing!) to the steak to the sides, was superb. The potatoes dauphinoise were incredible - like a scalloped potato lasagna. I'm definitely going to try making this at home. Our server Devon was fantastic and made sure our evening was perfect. We will be back!

Louder than Texas Roadhouse and less flavor than McDonalds…read more It started with the bread which took forever to arrive. The butter was nothing special. I had the Grilled Salmon Oscar with the 55 House Salad while my girlfriend had the Parmesan Crusted Chicken and 55 House Salad. The one key takeaway: no flavor! The salad was good. Well, the dressing anyway. For an $8 add-on charge, I expect just a bit more from a salad. The salmon had a beautiful crust, but truly lacked flavor, even salt and pepper would have been a plus. My girlfriend's Parmesan Crusted Chicken was bland as well. Looking back at some of the reviews, this is a common theme. For a high priced establishment, we expected a more intimate experience. I can't say that we'll make a return trip here.

Restaurant Week Edition…read more Eddie Merlot's continues to be the pinnacle of dining experience. The food is excellent, the service is impeccable, and the overall atmosphere is unlike any other. We came here knowing it was Restaurant Week. It was $60 for an app, main entree, and dessert. This is an extremely underrated deal! I started with the caesar. It was delicious. We also ordered calamari and fries for the table. They were devoured! The main entree had an option of a 6 oz. filet. I upgraded to an 8 oz for a $12 upcharge along with the bacon Gorgonzola topping. Chef's kiss. I'm still thinking about it. I finished with the carrot cake. I left full and happy. Shout out to our server, Chad. He was a hoot! Extremely friendly and had a lot of great recommendations. When we come back, we hope we get sat in his section again!

The potstickers and shrimp cocktail were delicious appetizers, and the grilled romaine salad accompanied those perfectly. My filet was much closer to medium well than medium rare but still tasted great. My coworkers tried the ribeye and Cajun grill with great reviews from both. The lobster Mac was ok, I found it to be flat and not too flavorful, but others enjoyed. The grilled asparagus and Brussels were much more to my taste. Desert was a giant slice of carrot cake to share, and we still left over half behind. It's huge, and delightful. The cream cheese frosting was to die for. We had Angels Envy espresso martinis with it, and those were tasty. Wine selection was good, service amazing, and would overall return again if in the area.

A great menu, quick bar bites or handmade pasta, each option was better than the next even the house made bread! The lasagna and chicken parmigiana were especially good, huge portions too. The seafood pasta was clearly fresh, not frozen so that's always a bonus.

The Polaris location is large and has a decent patio. The bar/lounge area is pretty big too, that's where we were sat when we came in for a weekend meal. Started with drinks and some apps. The cocktails were small and kind of meh. They only had 2 drafts, Stella & Peroni. I like both but it was strange that they had no other selections. The worst part was by far the food. Arancini - 6/10, nice crispy texture but the taste was a bit unexpected, like the added a bit too much Gorgonzola. Calamari - 7/10, a bit chewy but with a nice crisp, missing something fresh. Beef carpaccio - 2/10, Marcella's used to have an absolutely delicious carpaccio... this was a bit of an abomination. Beef slices too thick, crispy flatbread that broke up when I looked at it wrong, a white sauce on top that made the whole dish worse. Absolutely do not recommend. Dinner was a few pizzas 2/10 (read: precooked flatbreads with subpar toppings). The crispy potato "pizza" needs to be taken off the menu. Garlic sauce, cheese and these awful, overcooked potato chips. It was inedible - all 5 people at the table tried it but put their slice down after the first or second bite. Pizza Margherita DOC was a very salty, tomatoey thing. I think the grocery store version would be a better choice. We also shared the Pepperoni Sausage with mushrooms which was better, but it was undercooked and watery. Our friends got the Carbonara Pasta and said it was ok, but did not want to take their leftovers home. I don't get the hype or appeal of Marcella's whatsoever. Our server was fine, the food was terrible, ambiance is meh. Will not return.

This restaurant offers a really nostalgic, traditional steakhouse experience with dark wood…read morepaneling and an upscale feel. I came here on a cold March evening with my colleagues for a team dinner after a two-day conference. My co-worker was kind enough to tell the restaurant we were celebrating my birthday, so they had decorated our table with some cute birthday confetti and had a card for me. Such a nice touch! I wish I had thought to take pics, but I was so exhausted. Now, on to the food! We got calamari for the table as a starter. It was sprinkled with feta, which I enjoyed. It was cooked nicely and had great flavor. Oddly, we got served butter and sour cream instead of the black pepper aioli and voodoo sauce that was supposed to come with it. Thankfully, they realized it and brought us the right sauces. For my main, I got the Blackened Seared Scallops, a really unique dish that came topped with pork belly and served on creamed corn with tomato jam and bourbon syrup. This leaned to the sweet side but the smoky flavor of the pork belly gave great balance to the delicate scallops and the sweetness. And that bourbon syrup was addictive. I cleaned my plate! I would definitely recommend this dish if you like a sweet/savory combo. None of us ordered drinks or dessert on this go-around, but the manager stopped by to chat with us. Again, really nice touch. One slightly worrying thing: one of my colleagues is allergic to mushrooms. He ordered something that didn't mention mushrooms on the menu, but it was on the plate. Thankfully he noticed it before he started eating and they remade it for him without mushrooms. So if you have food allergies, be sure to ask questions because it may include an ingredient the menu doesn't mention. That said, our servers were wonderful and it was an overall pleasant experience.
