Need a drink to help you escape from the Twilight Zone? Too fuckin bad. They don't serve alcohol (unless you want a full bottle of wine) and if you do BYOB they confiscate that shit from you and only serve you if you order (and show proof of) food. Always a great place to enjoy with the family. There's something to do for everyone. They offer bowling, batting cages, arcade, bar area, food, and more. This is a BYOB establishment, you just need to buy something from the snack bar which is a good idea anyway. We had the giant pretzel with cheese and mustard and it was really good. I arrived about 430pm for a bowling lane and was told it was a 2 1/2 hour wait. No prob it's a Saturday I understand. I kept getting texts throughout the wait to go to the front desk. When I go to them, they said they sent it as a mistake and that "you only waited 1 1/2 hours". I continue to wait and I continued to get texts to go to the front desk. Still not ready. Went here a couple days ago with my nephew I had asked for help with one the games because it was out of service, I asked this young woman named Sophia that worked that day. EXPENSIVE. Didn't quite realize how pricey it was before coming. One hour on a weekend and you're down $50 for just 2 people. You definitely pay for the experience. But I just wanted to bowl so I'd opt for the one in Hackensack next time. Personally, I'd just visit a chuck e cheese if you have kids who are into arcades (or dave and busters for adults) and just go to an actual batting cage if you want to practice a few swings. They don't pre-book the batting cages you just look for when a batting cage is free but we never got a chance to get in during our time. My review is positive and based on the facilities they have - not really the service because I visited on a very quiet Tuesday night w/ few friends to catch up. Literally 4 other guests at Humdingers aside from us four, so naturally service was great. This place is BYOB so be sure to bring your own. Also there is a cork fee for wine: you basically have to buy a food item. They have decent selection of basic food and carvel ice cream. We had the mozzarella sticks which were nice but expensive. There are batting cages, arcade section and a bowling lanes. You have a card and load a certain amount of money and then just swipe at all the games/batting cages. Arcade games are anywhere form $0.50 - $2.50. There is a fun laser room in the back that involves maneuvering through the lasers. I'm going to list a few of the arcade games here: - four and two person air hockey table - car and motorcyle racing games. - large screen PacMan - Minion Bopping - Walking Dead and Terminator shooting game - skeeball (3) - Basketball Hoops (3) - Crossy Road Game I didn't go bowling this time but check out Groupon! There was a great deal on there - not sure what it would be otherwise. We recently had our son's 11th birthday party at Humdinger's and it was amazing. We worked with Laura (Events Director) and Chenoa to plan the party. Everything was clear and easy to plan. When we arrived Alexey and Greg, the party coaches took over. Having 15, eleven year old's to manage is not easy. Alexey and Greg kept them engaged and having a blast. Took my 10 year old son to a birthday party hosted here by a classmate -- and hung around a bit to try some food and basically vet some of the prior reviews on Yelp. Ok -- so it is pricey -- but I'm not sure what isn't pricey in northern Bergen County these days. If you want "all in one entertainment" like food, beers, bowling, batting cages and arcade games under one roof -- there aren't too many choices locally. I'm all for convenience when it comes to the occasional kids parties or a quick night out with our multi tasking oriented boys -- so the pricing seemed fair for the choice of offerings -- and its only a 10 minute drive from home. Place was empty on a Wednesday afternoon -- as you might expect. I ordered some food while watching the boys recreate. Had a properly grilled and seasoned flank steak over mixed greens with a good olive oil and vinegar dressing. At $12 this was a nice portion -- and like everything else -- on the pricier side. The good news is it's made to order and they bring it to your table -- or you can hang on a plush leather couch if you prefer to chill and watch one of the dozens of TV's in the joint while you graze. The kids had a blast at the batting cages and the arcade was plenty big enough and interesting for their age group of about 15 youngsters. No bowling with this party but some folks who were rolling with their children said they were pleased with the lanes. Look -- if its only bowling you want I would pass this up and go to a local bowling alley (like Brunswick lanes in Fairlawn) where the bowling is bigger and more conventional and the beer and food is much cheaper in every respect. I can see how this place might disappoint a 20-something looking for a night out with friends to tune up (it's BYO but with rules) and the gaming is not much of a challenge for an adult gamer. But if you have pre-teens to entertain and want to give them different options for an hour or two (while you lay into your BYO) -- this is a serviceable destination. Tip for Owners: You might wanna think about adding a pool hall area where the combination of BYO and your hourly rates might work better for the millennials and even codgers like me. ;) read more

We dropped by this place to check out their bowling alley and batting cage. The bowling alley appears to be smaller than the typical local bowling alleys but I can be wrong. I opted not to play but the bowling space seems fun for kids and families. We played the batting cage and I had a lot of fun. It was my first time at a batting cage and I will definitely be returning. The arcade games aren't bad but not enough. They have a pretty good eating area. This place is a yes and no for me. I hate that the bowling is by time- and they don't have enough lanes so once your time is up you're done. But the other games are fun. The air hockey table is always fun, the batting cages was a great way to find out how terrible of a player I am LOL, and it was a fun place for my nephews 12th bday. The kids had tons of fun. Had my son's 6th birthday party this past weekend at Humdingers. Had 16 kids and about 30 adults. Pros: Place is very spacious-perfect for kids and adults. I didn't really try the food but I heard positive things about the wraps and boneless chicken. The place is new and has good parking, clean bathrooms, food, carvel and wine for sale. They offer batting cages, arcade and bowling. Kids had a blast. Adults had a blast. We all had a blast! They allowed me to arrive early to decorate! This was a huge part for me because I am a decorating fanatic! The party planning crew-Breanna specifically was great prior to the day because she followed up with me, was very responsive and informative. Cons: We had 2 party hosts helping us and they were perfect for the kids but we could have used an extra pair of hands at times. Since I had so many adults, i wanted to make sure they were drinking the beers and wine I provided and there was a delay in refilling my ice buckets at times due to timing and less hands. My hosts, however, did the best they could and they were great. The bowling and beginning of our party was a bit delayed and confusing. Ie:we weren't sure how to begin exactly. Do we enter kids names? Did the venue do? We were puzzled and delayed int he beginning due to this. All else was great but I wish there would have been a bit more organization or division between my party and the rest of the Humdingers guests. For example, we left the table alone a few times and food was gone and beer . We all ended up taking turns guarding our table while the kids were in their own little party room singing happy bday . The various activities could satisfy most kids. Mine loves the ski ball - I mean two hours later and she's still at the ski ball. The place is new and modern and clean - which is no easy feat with a bunch of kids running around. My biggest complaint is the staff. On my most recent two visits the wait staff for the bowling area was in the corner talking to each other or off goofing around, while we were waiting and waiting for cups, ice, etc etc (And they were rude and seemed annoyed we were even asking for napkins or whatever else we needed.) This place is hidden in a industrial office area right off of rt 17 in Paramus. It's a pretty large space with tons of arcade games, a bar, dining area, bowling alley and batting cages. For a Saturday night, it wasn't packed at all and we only waited like 20 min for a lane. It's Byob but they won't let you drink unless you order food which I thought was weird. They wouldn't open my sister in laws bottle of wine until I showed a receipt of the meal I purchased. Really. Anyway, the food is mediocre. I had a huge stomach ache in the morning but might be cause I don't hardly eat that much fried food at night in a long long time.
