Bowling lanes that have bumpers if you want them. Smaller balls (6lbs) are in the back you can request for the kids, and they have the little alligators to let them roll down the lanes. Part of Nationwide Bowling Centers. As always, difficult to find balls with bigger holes unless you go very heavy (and that makes my arms hurt). Fat thumbs are a challenge. This reminds of the 80s... and decor hasn't changed much from then, I'm guessing. About $10 for a game + shoe rental. They have deals on various days of the week (late-night bowling, etc.); open lanes vary (see website for schedule). Ended up being about $31 for three people to play one game with shoes. Yeah, it's the Northeast, so a bit more expensive than bowling in the South or Midwest... Alcohol in the bar area (no minors, closed off), party room for birthdays, and a small arcade. Food specials on the tables and they have plenty of seating for the bowlers.

a coffee mug on a table with a laptop in the background - A white ceramic mug with bold black text reading "FRANKIE SAY RELAX" is placed on a wooden table, with a laptop and a blurred background.

I enjoyed bowling with my son the day after New Year's Day, something I haven't done in quite some time. I was there previous to Christmas to buy a bowling ball bag as a gift, thought I'd come back and bowl a few games. I like the ambiance, very colorful and attentive service getting checked in and help at the lane. There is an arcade, food and beverages are also available. Maybe I'll get back bowling on a regular basis!

I've been coming to this bowling alley for years - I've tried other locations, but none provide the same service as Bowler City. Within the last year or so, they've updated their snack bar - (the food is now pretty good), the bar is a bit out dated, but their bartenders try to spice it up with new drinks - the mermaid water is my personal fav! If you go into the lounge area of the bar there are two pool tables, a foosball table, and darts. The bowling lanes themselves are lit well and easy to use. If you're still a newbie at bowling they can pull up the bumpers (thank you everyone who's done that for me) whereas in certain bowling alleys you have to be. Certain age for them to pull them up.

The 6 of us used one lane for 2 hours on a Saturday morning. Came down to about $11 per person. Cheap, but what you pay is what you get. I'm saying this because the bathroom was the most wicked place I've been to. It's so gross that it made me question what the heck I was doing there.

I once went into a bowling alley in the city and it was like 30 dollars for a single game with a friend not including shoes.

Ask for Ahijanae she was great and really knew her stuff. She gave solid recommendations, especially for the appetizers. I ordered the French onion soup and my friend got the wings both were really good. For mains, he had the hickory BBQ burger with onion rings and I got the bulgogi tacos with kimchi fried rice... OMG. That combo right there? Yeah, I'm definitely coming back just for that. My friend said his burger was really good too. The place itself was clean, the ambiance was nice, not too loud, and there were plenty of TVs to catch the games. Overall just a really good vibe. Definitely adding this to my regular spots.

The burgers are good too but I do not like the sauce they use. It's the same sauce they use for the sushi so it just taste weird on the burger, in my opinion. Just keep that in mind and maybe get it on the side or say no sauce like I do. They offer tasty desserts you don't typically find elsewhere. The space itself is large, clean, and well-maintained, with plenty of TVs, making it a good spot for watching games or gathering with friends. There is plenty of parking, but sometimes that parking is a bit of a walk if it's a busy time but typically always find parking... rarely have to go to the underground parking lot. Service can be inconsistent, especially when it comes to larger groups or parties, which can slow things down at times. Overall, while it's not my top choice, it's a place I still enjoy going to and will continue to return to.

Check out three of the most popular menu items I explored. Buffalo Wings: Sold by the pound, the wings came with a side of celery sticks and blue cheese dipping sauce. It's definitely a common bar appetizer prior to the main course. Breakfast Burger: Here is a breakfast spin on the classic burger and fries. The plump, juicy burger was loaded with crispy bacon and an over easy egg. Served medium well, each bite was like having breakfast and lunch simultaneously...hence the term "brunch." And no brunch is ever complete without a side of crispy tater tots. Chicken Parm Sliders: This is a unique bar twist on the classic chicken parmesan entrée. The three sliders are topped with homemade marinara sauce and mozzarella. The breaded cutlets were on the thicker side, but I didn't mind because it was similar to having a chicken sandwich. If you are a sports fan, this is the next best thing to a stadium or arena. The walls are adorned with athletic souvenirs and memorabilia. You won't have any trouble finding an athletic program to view on the multiple flat screen HDTVs. And speaking of televise sporting events, take advantage of this awesome meal deal. It's only available while the Mets or Yankees are playing. Play tunes of your choice on the modernized electronic jukebox. This sports bar has an upbeat atmosphere with a decent menu, so stop by and give QBs a try. #QBS #dumontnj #localbar #sportsbar #chickenparmsliders #BreakfastBurger #wings #buffalowings #foodstagram #njfoodie #foodreview
