THE NOT SO GOOD ----------------------------- - As expected, it's very loud inside with all of the arcade games, so don't expect to be able to have much of a conversation with people. I'm not sure if it was the night we went but the service was terrible. This place is a byob spot but if you don't bring anything you can buy a bottle of wine but you must buy food with it..it can get super expensive quickly. The food is alight. This is a place that get pretty packed. My experience there was a unique one. I got a game card and loaded it up with $30 to use to play in the arcade. However most of the games weren't working. There were games that looked to be worked but it turns out they weren't. So basically any money I had on my card got eaten up and when I went to customer service they claimed to put it back but when I checked the balance it wasn't true. It's expensive yes. That's expected. You're in Paramus. The location is clean and large. There were lots of people there for a Monday after school but we weren't squished. I was able to play games without waiting. We spent $125.00 in about 1 hour lol but I needed the quick adrenaline rush since I just went through surgery and was pretty down. We won so many plushies, it was quite satisfying. It'll probably not happen again, but that moment made it all worth it. We were here for our first time with my family of ten with three elementary school children for some entertainment and games. The place is huge with lots of entertainment and games including baseball batting cages, driving games and other types of games for a wide range for both children and adults. They even have a Zoltar machine. They offer some food, but no alcohol. I purchased a $100 game card for my family of ten to share during our stay here. I did not play any games, but my $100 game card was used up quickly because of the children and their parents. This is the best place for a kids birthday. From the reservation process to the setup process and the actual party. Everything was five stars. My attendants were Jenni and Jack and they were so helpful in getting us set up and making sure the kids had a good time. When they realized my daughter's theme was squid games they even did an impromptu red light, green light game. They helped with decor and helped with goodie bags and ensured everything was smooth. The two managers Sarah and Sarah checked in on us and made sure everything ran smoothly. Would definitely recommend Humdingers to anyone looking for a kids party venue. My son had a great time! We went on a holiday Monday and it was not to busy so there was no wait for bowling. Bowling cost 70$ and it was 6 of us so it wasn't bad at all split. Need to come back to try the arcade games and batting cages. read more

Upon entry i loved this place - i was so surprised at the size and offerings i immediately felt like a kid again. Unfortunately, it was a bit of a let down after my time there. Attractions: They have a decent size arcade, they have batting cages with multiple speeds, a bowling alley, a laser maze and a small bar area. Service: I was there for a birthday party so there were dedicated staff members to help the kids and put out food. I thought the workers were very kind and attentive to everything. Really good service. Atmosphere: The place was cool, i cant believe how big this place is, just hidden in the woods off the highway. You would never stumble upon this place without knowing about it. Super cool, updated, modern decor that had a lot to offer and should be a good time. THE BAD PART: The food and the prices. The food was super cheap and not of good quality - I've gotten better food from street carts. The kids were all served pizza that looked awful and didn't taste that great either. We are in north jersey - there has got to be better suppliers for pizza ingredients - it was like something from the freezer that was heated in a microwave. The chicken tenders, mac and cheese bites and cold-cut sandwiches all were just mehh... The bread for the sandwiches was terrible. I'm disappointed the food program doesn't match the vibe of this place. Secondly, the prices. The bowling is expensive - i feel like if you're coming here to bowl it doesn't make sense, just go to a bowling alley. Additionally, the worst of them all, the arcade. Games ranged from $1.75 - $4.75 PER GAME. Sometimes you lose in a game in 15 seconds. I'm sorry but that is just too much money. I recently took my niece to Chuck E Cheese and you can do a time card and play unlimited games for 45 min and it was like $25, she played so many games it crazy... here you'd be broke. They need a time option for playing games - paying per game is too much money. You'd be better off at Chuck E Cheese or Dave & Busters (if they are a bit older). I really wanted to love this place and it seems cool for birthday parties. Attended this place with a group of 20 plus. We did the group package #1 that consisted of 1 hour of bowling with rental shoes included, $15 arcade card, 2 slices of pizzas and a soft drink for $28/per person peak price. The entire party did not have to be present for the party package to begin. As guests arrived they were added to the lanes and the games continued. Approaching the one hour mark, a worker came over to give us a heads up that our time was almost up and our food would be served shortly. We were then guided to a designated area as our pizza and drinks were served and ready to eat. Pizza was good! At this point we received our arcade cards and got to enjoy a handful of games such as air hockey, Mario karts, basketball and skee-bowl. There was a few other groups with their byob buckets bowling and batting. Looking forward to returning and trying that experience. The floor layout is clever as you have access to many things for entertainment and eating. Parking was a breeze with the lot located steps away. On your way out don't forget to redeem your tickets on the self service prize machine. You can also save those tickets and return for bigger prizes. read more

Celebrated my daughter's 5th birthday yesterday in Humdingers. We booked Bowltastic as it seemed enjoyable for the kids, we booked a little less than 2 weeks for 3:30pm and were told we can get there at 3pm if we want to decorate. It included bowling and arcade. We arrived at 3:05, coming in we were greeted by Jennie who was amazing throughout the entire time with us. She took our bags and walked us to a waiting area as our party room was still being cleaned. Around 3:20 I was allowed to go to the party area which was a big room with panel room divider for 4 separate parties. As you can see in the picture people from other parties would be standing by your space. Which you hear everyone screaming, singing and talking. As I started decorating some staff came around asking if I needed any help, one staff member helped out finishing 4 party boxes souvenirs, also amazing but forgot to catch her name. When I was done staff members would come around complimenting the decorations. One specific staff member comes in very rudely stating you cannot hang anything on the wall. I apologized and stated I was never advised and other staff members came in and out and never mentioned it. I used 1 command strip for the balloon arc and a staff member used regular tape to put up the #5 balloon. By the end of the party Sarah (who we later found out is the party manager as she never introduced herself) blamed me for painting chipped from the corner of the wall which was not caused by me as I had not even taken the command strip off which was in the center of the wall. She's just rude. When it was time to pay we expressed how the party was rushed for kids. We were told the day of that it's 35 minutes of bowling, 35 minutes of arcade starting from 3:30pm. Sarahs response was "sorry you feel that way but if I'm not mistaken you booked your party less than 2 weeks. If you wanted more time you should have booked the adult party". EXCUSE ME. You still took my reservation and my money was still green when it was time to pay regardless of 2 weeks or not. I declined to tip on my card which her response was "so you don't want to tip my staff"...which I always tip in cash and had already tipped them. The party actually started at 3:45pm. Rushed them through bowling. For the arcade the card provided to the kids would say how much time they have left to play. All the kids had between 10-12 minutes left on their cards when Lillie called them all up to go back to the room. They were upset as they didn't get to play the entire 35minutes, even parents complained to me. The food was good. The sodas tasted very weird kids nor the adults would finish a cup. The BYOB option was great. At one point Sarah storms into the party grabs a bottles and loudly says "you cannot have this here we do not accept it. You have to check it in". A bottle of Manischewitz (Concord Grape Wine). She reads it to then notice its wine, puts it down and walked away stating "I never seen a bottle of wine like that". For the most part the kids enjoyed themselves. As for upper management Sarah, extremely rude and does not deserve that position as a party manager and I speak from a catering business owner perspective. Other parents witnessed her behavior and stated "I would never book a party here if I have to deal with her." We had planned on staying and giving each kid $50 to spend on the arcade but the distasteful behavior from Sarah made us move our party to a different establishment. Also having party rooms directly in front of the bathroom is the worst idea ever. The smell would come into to our space. Very disgusting. read more

Been wanting to check this arcade out for a while and finally got the chance to one Friday evening. My husband and I came with two of our friends at around 8:30 and it was pretty empty. I would have thought it would be packed at that hour with the adult crowd. The good thing about coming at this hour is that there aren't as many kids. You buy credits that are loaded onto a card, and each game costs a certain amount of credits. The more you buy, the bigger the discount you get. We ended up getting the $100 and just using the one card between the four of us. They have all your classic arcade games and some newer ones, so it was a lot of fun. They also have batting cages, which was pretty cool because that was my first time trying it. There's a food court area where you can get food like pizza, fries, etc. They don't serve alcohol (which I thought they did initially because I though it would be like a Dave and Buster's) but it is BYOB. But you have to buy food. You can order anything, show them the receipt, and open your bottle for you/provide you with cups. It was a fun time but not something I would do too often because it'll add up and the games will get played out. Maybe a once a year kind of thing? read more

Back again for batting practice. Not a lot of people today. Had to wait maybe for one person in line at the cages. Wish they had nets between each cage because the guy at the baseball/slow pitch softball to the left of us was knocking right field line drives that kept coming into our fast pitch softball cage. Since his balls are landing right in front of the machine pitching the fast softballs to us it was confusing and distracting to be waiting for the pitch and having to ignore the ball dropping in from next door coming in as the pitch is coming out. Great place to take the kids or have a birthday party. Staff here are great at managing the kids at the party. Tons of things to do including arcade, bowling and batting cages. There is even a bar for the adults. One thing that grossed me out was all the kids using the same helmets. This is a super fun place for children of all ages. I took my son to a birthday party here last weekend. He had a blast! The kids enjoyed some bowling, and then they all headed to the arcade to enjoy the games. After that they went to enjoy the party room. They had some cupcakes and pizza. A good time was had by all. I wanted so deeply to like this place. For the amount of activities they attempt to stuff into this space, it gets overcrowded and the environment feels chaotic. My friend and I walked in and decided to go to the food area which was extremely overpriced. To put it plainly, the burgers read appetizing and we're mediocre. For any plain side it was an up-charge. Mozzarella sticks were horrible and there was no cheese-pull. The highlight of my friends and Is meals were the Pulled Pork Fries. I visited Humdingers in Paramus earlier this week with high hopes for a fun outing, but unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. The first disappointment was the pricing. The cost of bowling was exorbitant, especially considering the quality of the lanes and equipment. It felt like we were paying a premium for a subpar experience. most of the time the ropes attached to the pins would knock down the pins. To make matters worse, the food was downright appalling. It tasted like microwaved, low-grade prison food. if you are going to charge $19 for a pizza at least serve it hot and add some seasoning. Tossed it. The lack of quality and flavor was astonishing, and it significantly detracted from the overall experience. With such sky-high prices for lackluster offerings, I couldn't help but feel like I was being ripped off. There are plenty of other entertainment options in Paramus that offer better value for money. Overall, my visit to Humdingers was a big disappointment. I won't be returning, and I certainly wouldn't recommend it to others.
