My son attended a birthday party here and he had the time of his life. He told me he had so much fun crawling through tunnels, sliding down slides, and chasing his friends all over the place. It wasn't that busy, and I knew he couldn't go too far so I gave him some space and let him play with his friends. I also had no choice but to give him space because they wouldn't let me cross through the gate with the iced coffee I brought in. I get it, but other parents there had coffee and other drinks in their reusable tumblers so I didn't really understand the point. It didn't matter though as I could see my son playing from the entrance just fine. Once I entered the play place they ask that you take your shoes off. I think with everyone's shoes off the place just smelled a little off. Other play places have you take your shoes off and they don't really smell, but this Catch Air had that smell to it which wasn't very pleasant. I don't know if they updated their safety policies, but the employees were very on top of the safety announcements and reminding everyone of the rules. They made announcements quite often. We went to one of the side rooms for the birthday lunch and cake. I don't know if something happened, but they were short on pizza, and I think they offered the hosts more time to play. Of course my son enjoyed that. I can see this place being overwhelming if it gets super crowded as it isn't huge. And it's kinda dark (because of the cool space theme). Overall, I think we will be back because my son wants to play there again, but it wouldn't be one of my top play places to go to. read more

Great place. Not too big but not small either. Good place to sit and be able to let the kids get all that extra energy out. A girl named Stephanie who worked there made our experience amazing. She was really on it! My son was at the tablet table and it wasn't working, she helped him and taught I him what to do. I went to the bathroom, there's Stephanie restocking supplies. We go to eat there's Stephanie sweeping up from the last family who ate. Definitely went above and beyond. Whomever reads this, Stephanie needs a raise. She really was great. Whoever the boss is,, give Stephanie more hours! This is the first time I've seen her and I come all the time! She's on point! Keep her! Two thumbs up!! read more

We have been waiting for an opportunity to visit the new Catch Air location. About 2 weeks ago we went to a birthday party, and my children had a wonderful time. The location was clean, and the kids had a lot of fun! I will say the process to get in did take awhile, they stamped the kids hands with stamps matching the adult the entered with. Which was good for safety reasons. I will definitely be back again soon, as we are already scheduled to go to another party at this location. read more

Great place to stay inside to keep cool with the kids. My 4 year old really enjoyed everything they had to offer (slides, ball machine, trampoline, etc). The only downside is you have to pay for everyone who comes into the play area. My mom was with me to watch my other child (1 year old) who slept the entire time and we still had to pay full price for both of them. read more

I came here when it first opened and it was as pristine as can be. But that was awhile back and after months of wear and tear I'd say this place is already showing its age and upkeep issues. The good thing is that this location is spacious and has a lot of areas for kids to literally go crazy and burn some serious energy. Walk in's or birthday parties alike, you can expect this place to be packed to the gills pretty much an hour or so after opening. Also it is insanely loud here, if you don't believe me try checking your decibel meter on your smartwatch and be ready to have your eardrums blown out when some kid screams in a tight space hear you. The problem here is for all the variety of activities a lot of them are already broken and for whatever reason it takes forever to get fixed. The ball launcher/volcano has been broken for months. The trampoline area is pitch black since all the interactive game monitors associated with it are turned off (it wasn't working last time I was here over a month ago either but the monitors were at least on). Tight areas also are starting to show wear and tear and grime. I also see many birthday parties here and decided not to do anything for our kid here since it seems the party rooms are very small and barely attended to by the staff. The staff also often seem overwhelmed or distracted, which isn't great. But I still give this place props for at least having enough space and variety for kids to go nuts and burn some energy. I've seen many other places with similar issues but with less play space so this at least is a good thing about this catch air location. But they really need to improve their upkeep or I can see this place really going south fast. read more

It's a great spot for kids, but it's exhausting for parents. From the start parking is chaos because it's an outdoor mall with tons of other busy stores. You have to grin and bear it, what can you do? Once inside, and checked in, the kids can run around everywhere. There are so many nooks, crannies & levels, it's impossible to keep track of them the whole time. There are cameras everywhere, so on that end there should be one wall that's a full screen of video so you can sit back & just watch it, but there's not. When you book a party room, you get there and they run around for an hour, then on a muffled loud speaker they mumble your party the rooms ready. They're not on point getting you to the room on time, but they are on point telling you exactly when you have to leave. They should also tell you beforehand to sync up your phone to the Wi-Fi on the wall to play music. Nice bonus & should be communicated way before the date or right at the start, not halfway through the party. They should also tell you maybe bring table cloths, and other stuff like that if you want to. Overall it's not a bad spot, but you pay what you get for. All the kids with pizza, ice cream & goodie bags, it's $50 a pop. Min probably 10 kids I think if not more. You may as well get the goodie bags and ice cream because it's $39 without, so it's just easier to include and get everything all in one package. You do it for the kids and they love it so I'm not sure why the other reviews are so bad. The place is pretty well run. The staff were all super friendly and the kids are all having a good time. Where do I start with the S show? We've been to a fair amount of play areas with our 14mo and I've never ever been turned off by any children's place until Catch Air, that is. This place is dangerous. This place is dirty. This place is probably a covid hub given how packed it is too. The staff are cold and rude. They treat you as if you're a thief. But hey, I'm not surprised. Even the parents here are not the norm. Why does the whole venue smell like weed? This already speaks volumes for the parents who want a HEALTHY and good environment for their children to play at. You do not want to be here with high adults. BUT guests aside, the worst is still the venue itself. Upon check-in, there was no clear area to line up to pay. We sort of just stumbled onto a cashier and she was caught up with something else but didn't even have the courtesy to tell us to just give her a moment. We had to scan a QR code to sign a waiver and it's waiver per person. I had to sign for my husband, myself and our baby and the cashier told me this after I signed up for myself and baby only. Fine, so she went to the next person as I was doing my husband and turns out the next parent couldn't even read English and needed a whole rundown. At that point, I already finished hubbys waiver and told her twice. If you're gonna skip over me for one waiver, shouldn't you come back to finish my checkin process if the person after me can't even open a form at this point? I had to tell her twice that we were ready and she snapped and me and said "OK." With a huge attitude. When we finally got in after being asked to show our stamp, we realized we really walked into a s show. It was dangerously crowded with multiple parties and open play going on. Kids were trampling over one another and screaming and crying everywhere. Most parents didn't even care. My daughter was almost shoved over many times because of parents not monitoring their kids in a venue that was definitely over capacity. No staff to monitor either. The place is NOT CLEAN. I found crap all over the floors and hair in the kiddo toddler section. When we decided to leave, we were harshly told to show our stamps again. Not even in a nice way. I guess it's because people sneak in? Again, speaks volumes about this place if you treat people like prison rats. We showed our stamps and she said she needed to see our baby's too. We were trying to get babes hands out of her coat and the rude staff YANKED MY BABIES HAND to check her stamp. How dare your staff touch my child! read more

I was going to Paramus until I saw this one was closer to me. I have a 1 year old so they also had an area for 36 months and under just for her. I've been there twice, and I've never seen a worker cleaning anything. A friend of mine took her child there, and they ended up with hand, foot, and mouth disease. I had my son's birthday here and I must say that I was more than disappointed! I booked his party over 6 weeks in advance! The party room I was given had a "gold accent chair 'that was so "beatup"! The arm rest and the cushion was peeled off! How disrespectful! Even when I complained to the coordinating manager plus floor manager- I was given the look and simply was told "there's Nothing that can be done!! There were two other party rooms with the same gold chair and it was in "pristine" condition!! I felt some type of way because I was the only "black family " with that horrible looking chair ! Also, they charge for a party package with alot of amenities missing!! -No kitchen in the building, you only have the option of "pizza" pkus no refrigerator to store your cake plus no party package option for decorations (so you have to figure out everything by yourself!! Staffs were also not friendly and barely helpful! ,It was so stressful and overwhelming because you are also given a very limited time in the party room! Attended a birthday party here. This place is a complete zoo on a Saturday afternoon. Complete chaos. There had to be about 200 people in this place. The windows are all fogged up. No proper ventilation, just overall stuffy. Not enough cubbies to store your items. Not enough seating for parents. This place gave me anxiety. The pizza was terrible, looks like they make it there. Overbooking birthday parties on a weekend has people going into their paid rooms late and then getting rushed out. I had my daughters birthday party here last week. I was excited given that I'd attended a party at another location and it was fun and organized. I read the other poor review (on this site) before I booked and thought, "that will not happen to us". Well, I'm here to say our experience was terrible. First, we had no party host to start. I kept asking when I arrived and an hour into the party, I was introduced to a gentleman who told me "you're my first party ever". So I have the new guy. He didn't know what he was doing, interrupted consistently to read rules and check boxes as I interacted with my daughter and guests. It was so bad even the other parents noticed. The party room was COLD. Y'all, my 81 year old grandma was bundled in the corner because it was teeth chattering cold. When I inquired about the heat, I was told they turned it up. About 45 mins later, I was told there was nothing that could be done = freezing guests. Mind you, it was cold outside. My first time party host stood in the corner basically doing nothing but let's be clear: it's his first party. It's partly unfair that he wasn't trained for that role AND it is not his first day. Catch Air: do not have the party host post up in the ro with guests. It's weird. My fave host hands me a clipboard with a short survey DURING the party and asked me to fill it out and let him know when I was ready to pay so he could walk me to the register. What?!? Is that normal? I walked myself to the register to pay and was immediately asked, "how was everything?" My response was not great. I was never asked why..he then proceeded to ask me if I was leaving a tip. No comment here. When I explained the room was freezing he responded: "we usually have a space heater in there. Not sure where it was." WHAT?! I just learned a guest arrived and told me that they were told to put the gift on the cart that had my daughters name. And guess what?! I don't have that gift. I'll be calling this morning about this. They have cameras...will they turn them back and review them? I was excited and hopeful for my experience. I had such a great booking experience with Angie but day of, I spent a lot of money for a poor experience. And now a missing gift? Come on. This place could have gained 10+ new customers but instead they loss big time. Train the people, get organized, and give folks the experience they are paying for. It's only fair after all. read more

Extremely overcrowded obese central. The playing area is designed to be opaque, secluded, and dark, so that you can spend 15 minutes trying to locate your kids. Obese huge teenagers trample tiny 3 year olds. Staff is paying no attention. Trash bins overflowing, and it's just insanely crowded. I know I am repeating myself but I don't understand how the local fire department allows so many people in this venue. Avoid at all costs. DO NOT BOOK A PARTY HERE. The only reason for one star is that my 7 year old and her friends had a great time, but for me it was a nightmare. I booked a party for 5 pm, only to find out the day before that they somehow had me down for 430. I was assured that it was fixed (the day before) only to arrive and see that my cart still said 430, half hour before my guests were to arrive. The management had no solution and just left us standing in the lobby for 10 minutes without letting us start setting up the party room. At least they could be apologetic for their own mistake, but they were not! They made me feel like it was all my fault. When we finally got in the room, the party hosts kept leaving every time I asked them a question and I found myself doing the cleaning myself. They pizza is terrible and it was more like a disgusting personal pizza that they give each kid two slices of. Good thing it was bad pizza or there would not have been enough. If you want anything else you have to pay the facility 75 bucks for you to buy your own food and set it up yourself! After 1.5 hours we had to get out of the room and ask everyone to hold their coats and shoes because they made a mistake on the time and had another party coming in so they RUSHED us out. At least they let the kids stay and play. But, even that, they started announcing 20 minutes before 7 that the place would be closing soon so people had to leave. That was a little excessive especially since we were told that we could stay until 7. Then, to top it off, they overcharged us and tried to charge 50 bucks for every kid over ten kids. It's bad enough it's almost 40 just to let kids play. We do and bring everything else ourselves (except a juice box and plates). Please don't respond to this post with the same 3 sentences you say to everyone who highlights the problems at this facility. It's insulting. Do better! read more

Not sure why all of the negative reviews, but I have been to 2 parties recently with my Grandkids as well as free-play days and they absolutely love it! Their ages are 4 & 6. There is a new Management Team that is ensuring everything is clean, in good working order, and safe. I have been to a number of these type places, and I have to say this is the cleanest and most kid-friendly one of them all. Give it a try! 4 stars because the line to get in was a tad long as only one register was open on a prior visit. read more

Overall: this is a new (2022) site with loads of play space. Highly recommended in general for that. We had our kid's 5yo birthday here recently, Dec 4, and it was a very positive experience. But I do see lots of one star reviews from other families who had horrible birthday rental experiences, and they can't all be wrong. I think one thing we did differently from the 1 star reviewers was to schedule ours on Sunday morning, first thing (1030am to 1230pm) so that the place wasn't crowded and the staff were fresh on their shift, not overwhelmed. And being first rental of the day, the room is all clean and ready, you can access it early for decor/setup, no problems there at all. We also had a responsive and helpful staff host, everything went smoothly. Also... planning it on the phone I talked with Chelsea on staff, and she was super helpful. I'd advise to try to get a hold of Chelsea during weekday daytime to talk thru logistics and what is/isn't included, if you are a rental. Minus one star because for the first hour, the facility was FREEZING cold. Like, 50-55 degrees, indoors. Everybody kept their coats on. It gradually got less cold toward the end. But honestly... the children were thrilled and they romped all over the Catch Air play area, getting their energy out on a cold December morning. Parents were very happy for that. read more

Horrible / terrible. Had a birthday party where we rented the entire facility to our selves. Manager told us we had to wait outside while they cleaned the facility. Recognize it was 35 degrees and we had a party of 20 Adults and 20 children. Party started at 730'and guests began arriving between 7 and 715. Children as young as 2 years old and adults as old as 80 were forced to sit outside instead of simply waiting in lobby while they cleaned the facility, which is ONLY vacuum. Then the party started , they had no heat in the building and kept reminding us when we had to leave. We had to serve all of our own guests and do everything ourselves. They all sat up front with miserable looks on their faces all night . They also told my guest at 930 that they "get going party over"and shoo-ing them away with their hands, absolute joke. Absolutely disgusting management team at Catch Air Hasbrouck Heights. They were harassing out guests about stamps on their hands when the facility was closed and it's a private party. Utterly dumb. The only thing I can say was that the younger party host , attempted to help when asked so you can give them 3 stars, but managers a zero. I would never recommend this place and it's a damn shame hard working people would ever give them a dollar. Go somewhere where employees are pleasant and appreciate that customers pay their wage. read more

I had my sounds birthday party here last month. I'll start with the good. I loved how clean everything was, and how helpful my two party planners/assistants were! And, the kids did have fun! Now, on to the bad... I did not like how you had access to the party room for just about 45 minutes! It was very chaotic. I, nor did the attendees know where to place their belongings! In addition, being that we were the ones to set up (decorations, dessert table, table clothes, balloons,etc), we were in a panicked rush! I understand from the business perspective why they allow such a short time to access the party rooms, however it's extremely inconvenient for the parents and families hosting the party! I had to set up so quick to ensure the kids had enough time to eat their food and sing happy birthday, again all within 45 minutes and don't forget to set up and decorate ! Another inconvenience was that they did not allow for you to bring helium tanks. I would have appreciated if I were told before hand so that I would have blown them up before hand! WOULDN'T BOOK A PARTY HERE I give it 2 stars because honestly, it's a super fun space for the kids. We've been here before and it can be a little crazy, but it's so much fun for the kiddos. We decided to book my sons fifth birthday. We did it early in the day - the first party at 10 AM to avoid the crowds. When we arrived, employees were standing outside unable to get into the locked space because the manager hadn't showed up. And the manager never showed up! We finally got in late and a good portion of the lights never came on. Some of the most amazing lights that contribute to the fun of the place space never came on. Apparently, there was some sort of system failure. Because of the delay, we were rushed to set up and still expected out at the two hour mark. So things felt very hectic and stressful on our end. $800 is a lot to spend for that kind of experience. The employees were mostly terrible. And they're all young and I am assuming greatly underpaid. Management of this company is poor and that likely includes underpaid ill treated workers. The manager I initially booked the birthday party with a couple of months ago no longer work there! I'd come back, but I wouldn't book a party here. read more
