I had to order some trophies and medals for a Winter League I was running and obviously put it off…read moreto the very last minute. I called right around closing time Monday night and they assured me if they had the items in stock they could have them engraved by Wednesday. I called Tuesday around Noon after figuring out exactly what I needed and placed the order for 4 trophies and 15 medals (all with engraving). The person on the phone ensured me that they'd be ready on Wednesday by 4pm. I walk in Wednesday after 4 and they're all there waiting for me. The price was right, and the job was done very well. I brought them over to the league and everyone loved them, unfortunately we could only give them out to the champions and MVPs! They were ok with it in the beginning, but when she added on 1 more they started giving her a hard time... I have ordered through their website multiple times, and it feels like it was updated in 2005... Its very hard to search through, and the pictures are... old... I'm not asking for 4k, but maybe update the pictures a little? I have ordered the plaques that I need in person, and I really haven't had an issue aside from them being short. I have a decent amount of patience, so I shrug it off... They also have an amazing selection! They also have a ton of parking! It feels like it was a gas station years ago that they converted lol! They don't type orders, they hand write them and so I've had some things come out wrong because whoever did the order mistook the order person's handwriting. I will say they are always apologetic and fix it for free, but it seems like a waste of the owners money, but well that's just my opinion. Service can also be great at times and spotty other times, depending on who you get. I guess they're lucky they're close to me and priced decently, or I might shop around.

So I called Trophy King and asked about getting a plaque done in 2 days. I called on a Friday and needed it on Sunday, so if they couldn't guarantee it 100% for Sunday I would have moved on. I had called a few other places and they couldn't do it that quickly which was fine, I'd just call another store. I made this deadline very clear to this store when I called to get a quote. They tell me they could do it for Sunday but I needed to email them more info to get a quote. So I email them, and we get the price ironed out. This all happened on a Friday, but after Friday I literally never hear from them. No response to my email at all. I call the next day, on Saturday, and speak to a female. I ask when I can pick up the order but she says there isn't anything ready AND THEY AREN'T EVEN OPEN ON SUNDAYS!! There was no way I could have picked it up then. I'm pretty annoyed that even after confirming my order via email no one gave me any of this important information and that my order wouldn't be ready. It took a lot of phone calls and frustration, but we found someone else who could help on such short notice. I wish they would have told me upfront that they don't do pickups on Sundays. Cut to a week later (and 5 days after I needed the plaque) I get an invoice from Trophy King. I call the store and ask why they're charging me for an order they could not do in time. The man on the phone says it was done the day I ordered it since it only takes them a few hours to make. I ask why no one contacted me, and he asked why I didn't contact them first?? In my opinion, it's on him to let me know when it's ready as he is the one making it. However, I tell him I did call but the female employee said it wouldn't be ready for Sunday. He claims no females work there. Regardless, I asked him why he didn't contact me AT ALL to let me know it was ready or how I could have possibly picked it up when they aren't open on Sundays. He kept avoiding these questions and just kept saying it was impossible that I spoke to a female and I should be responsible for following up again. If his employee gave me wrong information, there was nothing I could do about that. BUT, I don't think the employee was wrong. I believe they just didn't do it OR forgot to contact me. Why else wouldn't they have let me know it was ready? I know not to use Trophy King in the future since the communication is all over the place.

This is one of the nicer bowling alley I have been in and around Bergen county. It looked somewhat…read morenew, very clean and organized facility, a bar with some sitting area in the common space, storage boxes, and got a section for some arcade games. The place is kids friendly. They use ambient neon lighting that looks really cool. We were there to attend a birthday party. There were lots of parking spots available right next to the alley. Renting the bowling shoes was easy process. The lanes were in good condition. Plenty of balls of different sizes and weight were available. The scoring system was also functional. They had some bowling slides available to assist the kids with bowling. The pins were attached to strings, so it felt little bit unnatural the way pins were falling down. The food was decent. Pizza and wings were good. I liked the lemonade they server, though I think it was just Minute Maid, not handmade. Overall I really liked the alley. In future, I'd bring my daughter to this location if she ever want to bowl again.

When we arrived, the front desk employee couldn't give us a clear price for two games--first $86, then $55--and had to call a manager for clarification. We were ultimately charged $19 without a clear explanation of how the pricing worked. (Before we even did anything we got charged 19) We saw an advertised promotion for "Play two games, get the third 50% off." We played three games and requested the advertised deal when checking out. The employee didn't know how to handle it, and a manager then told us the promotion was only available if it was requested upfront. That restriction was not clearly stated on the advertisement. Despite explaining this, the manager repeatedly insisted that the employee "should have told us." We were then charged $180 for three games. This raises serious concerns about misleading advertising, unclear pricing practices, and potentially discriminatory treatment of customers. If a promotion has restrictions or conditions, those terms should be clearly disclosed to customers. Based on other customer complaints, this does not appear to be an isolated issue. I will be reporting this experience to the appropriate consumer-protection authorities and the BBB. Save yourself the frustration--DO NOT GO HERE. (Looks like they have this in the past (going back 6+ years) going to see if I can file legal matters against the bowling ally and especially the lady who was dressed as a regular person. She did not state she worked there or any apparel that was work related) plus BBB had multiple reports of this business in the past which leaves them open for business malpractice lawsuit (we will see in time)
