Legit Chinese/Taiwainese noodle soup at the mall? For real? YES, FOR REAL…read more Having lived in NYC for many decades, I was very spoiled by my seemingly "next door" access to authentic Chinese/Taiwanese food and, more specifically, noodle soups. On those cold, wintry days, it was my go-to entree and not much can substitute for those hot, tasty broths, noodles and meats. Anyway, for the size of this state, possibly the best Chinese noodle soup served in town might very well be at the mall! Yes, it's going to be a dollar or two overpriced, but beggars absolutely cannot be choosers. Most customers at the mall come here really just for the Americanized Chinese food that is generously served here in gargantuan, fully packed takeout boxes - fried rice, noodles, orange chicken, kung pao chicken, chicken w/ broccoli, barbecue chicken, General Tso's chicken, etc., etc., etc. However, no offense to Yong Kang Street, but, I wasn't here for any of that greasy food because, honestly, you can get that ANYWHERE. We ended up ordering the Roast Duck Noodle Soup and Wonton Noodle Soup, both of which were actually made to order as I watched the lady put the super duper hot bowl together. The bowl was actually so hot that even 1.5 hours after I got home, the soupy bowl was still piping hot! Anyhow, the noodle soup was surprisingly delicious. The noodles were a bit soft, but the broth was very flavorful without being overly salty. There was some Chinese Broccoli and chopped up scallions in the noodle soups and they really added to the flavor of the entree. The meats were also very good. As we were eating, my question was - where does this place find their duck?!? Because it was pretty good duck meat. We also loved their pork wontons as well. Typically, the wontons served with noodle soups are made with pork and shrimp, but it was just pork here...and, well, it worked! The wontons were very delicious and well put together. Never would I have thought a small mall vendor would serve some of the best noodle soup in the area, but Yong Kang does. Goes to show you that you never know where good food might be hiding, so always give new places a try. As for us, we DEFINITELY found our new noodle soup go to spot.

THE GOOD ----------------…read more+ Filling, solid fast Korean food ++++ Beef K-BBQ Box and LA Galbi Box both came with a small portion of glass noodles, salad, egg and meets (beef / galbi) on top of rice and they were pretty good. The beef and galbi were flavorful, glass noodles were tasty and the portion of food was fair for the prices. K-BBQ Box was a bit cheaper at $10.99, while the LA Galbi was $14.99. + Menu is relatively simple as they serve either box entrees or tofu soups. THE NOT SO GOOD ---------------------------- - Not much as this vendor's menu is simple and straightforward. OK Cuban food that fills one up with ease…read more Considering it's 2024, their lunch prices were relatively inexpensive at $5-$9 for an entree served with rice, beans and maduros. We ordered the Beef Stew entree and Chicken Legs with Steamed Broccoli and there was nothing really spectacular about the entrees, but we DEFINITELY got our money's worth with the size of them. As expected, the Beef Stew was a bit on the drier side, but there was A LOT of rice and beans in the dish. Unfortunately, there weren't enough maduros. As for the Chicken Legs with Steamed Broccoli, it was as bland as it sounds. The broccoli had some vinegar on it, thankfully, so it gave it some flavor, although my wife wasn't a fan of it. For mall food, it's decent, especially since Paramus Park lacks a diverse selection of vendors these days in the food court.

She's been to other Cuban Eddie's locations and likes their food, so she'd been been keeping an eye on CE station at the food court weeks leading up to its opening this year. I haven't been to the other locations but have had Cuban food before. So we haven't tried out all of the menu items, but from what we've ordered so far, Cuban Eddie's is pretty good - especially for operating out of a food court station. I liked the pork chops over rice and beans the best from the main entrees I've ordered. Most main entrees I liked, but I thought the ribs were a little dry for me (it's dry rub and then they give you garlic sauce and bbq sauce in little containers). The main entrees are a good deal for lunch in terms of quantity you get and price you pay. I'll always have a leftover portion for later. The guys working behind the counter are friendly, too, and are patient when you're ordering. The food station gets people ordering in-person and also door dash deliverers, so from what I've seen, they are good with line control.

My Jimmy Choo Nightmare -- A Cautionary Tale I splurged over…read more$700 on a pair of Jimmy Choo sandals. Seven hundred dollars. For that kind of money, you'd expect exceptional quality, right? Wrong. I wore them exactly ONE time, and the sole was already worn down. One wear. Let that sink in. So I called their customer service, and that's where the real nightmare began. For two months -- TWO MONTHS -- they gave me the runaround. They refused to replace the shoes. They refused a refund. Eventually, after endless calls and emails, they graciously agreed to repair them for free -- even though at first they wanted to charge me for the repair of their own defective product. Then they handed the shoes off to UPS... and UPS lost them. For a month. After yet another month of back and forth, the shoes were finally repaired and returned. And the cherry on top? Their idea of compensation for this entire ordeal was -- wait for it -- a whopping 10% discount on my next purchase. My next purchase?! There will be no next purchase. Ever. Let me be clear: I paid luxury prices and received dollar-store customer service. Months of my time wasted, zero accountability, and an insultingly small discount as a "sorry." Shame on you, Jimmy Choo. Your customer service is an absolute disgrace. If this is how you treat the people who spend hundreds of dollars on your brand, you don't deserve a single one of them. Save your money, friends. #JimmyChoo #NeverAgain #WorthCustomerService #LuxuryFail #ShameOnYou #CustomerServiceNightmare

We tried one of the hot food vendors once and ate there. The stand with the ducks and other meat hanging in the display case. I thought the meat was going to be hot, but it was basically room temp. Not sure if you're supposed to take it home and heat it up from this vendor or if they will warm it up for you on request. We tried the bbq spare ribs and roast pork belly, which had good flavor but would have been better hot. Would try the other vendors.
