What a great find! We googled live music in Bergen County and this place popped up. There is street parking and a pretty decent menu as well. We purchased tickets online for two bar seats. They have a bunch of different seating options available as well as a full bar for cocktails. The night we went Pete Rodriguez and his orchestra was live. They wowed us all. We also met the owner Rodney who was extremely friendly and welcoming. The drinks were strong, the food was delicious and the entertainment was live. What more could you ask for? read more

This spot was so needed in New Jersey! It's a cozy jazz club with a nice cocktail/wine menu. Service was great! Food was great, you can listen to music and have dinner. I learned about the club because a talented musician from my home country (Silvano Monasterios) was performing here and we really wanted to listen to his music. The venue is fantastic, we got here early and enjoyed delicious food with a very friendly service.. the place is super comfy, the food came fast and both the food and drinks were fantastic! We had the wings, sliders and crab cakes, they were all great and the raspberry bites with ice cream were even better. The music in this place is fantastic! We tried this unique spot last night. The location is convenient and the decor has a speakeasy type feel. We liked the staff very much and the food choices were a mix between southern hospitality and American fusion. The music was fabulous and the family feel was welcoming. If you try this place, you will find that it is very different from the usual places and similar to the Jazz scene in NYC. My one complaint is the size of the portions and the quality of the drinks. If you go in realizing that you are paying the musicians with the food and drinks prices, you will leave satisfied. Stick to bottled. read more

Friends told us a new jazz club opened in Teaneck. Ok. Let's check it out! 11am Sunday brunch we are the only guests. Maybe they opened recently? The owner is our waiter and a pretty friendly gentleman as well. Food is served. Music is played ably by an alto sax and an upright bass. Still we are the only guests on this second weekend of their brunches (I hear the place was packed until 1:30am last night). The food is fine. I think they have a new chef or at least a new menu since last week. I enjoy jazz and I am relaxed and just finding a nice groove. Then 45 minutes into things... our waiter, who owns the place, the friendly guy, turns into Rodney Green as he sits down at the drum kit to bring the place to life. Damn. What a treat! Suddenly I could sit here all day. Apparently Rodney Green is the shit at the kit! I think I am now a Rodney Green fan. Next time I hope they cook my burger a little less. And I hope Rodney sits at the kit immediately because the place is filled and he doesn't have to serve food. Wishing them worlds of success. Thanks for being here. read more

Just spent the evening listening to amazing Jazz and enjoying some delicious food (get the fish tacos they're next level) at this intimate club/ restaurant. The experienced staff of waiters and bartenders made the experience that much more enjoyable! Apparently they have brunch on the weekends so I'll be checking that out too. This was my first time visiting this establishment, i have to say 9/10.... Upon entry the ambiance is amazing, OH might i add its black owned :)... the owner Rodney was in attendance at the Katalyst show and he showed love...the service was great but i wish there were more waitresses and more bartenders...it took a while for my food to get to me and when it did it was ice cold and not the best...i ordered beef sliders 3/10 & chicken sliders 1/10 they tasted as if the chicken was chewy and not completely cooked...& neither was the beef it was raw in the middle sorry to say but eat before you get there...i also ordered the jerk wings and veggie fritters , both 10/10 they best thing on their menu in my opinion...the drinks were good but i think the prices are a little expensive $17 for a drinks and $12 for a cup of wine ... crazy but i supported bc why not but the prices can be a little different, otherwise i had a blast at this place and event . I'd absolutely come back and support if there is another dope Neo soul jazz band there. Be sure to check them out for date night. read more

This nice small intimate jazz club black-owned was awesome. My cousin and I decided to visit this spot for a girl's night out which was needed. Everyone was friendly, you had to purchase tickets online which where reasonably $$ for the 8 pm show. The venue offers a nice menu for dinner & drinks. We sat at the bar and our bartender was so so cool and treated us well. The owner is circulating and greeting and making sure everyone is comfortable. Food and drinks where made to order and the show was excellent. I will return, dress code was casual comfortable. read more

My wife and I had a fabulous time Saturday night . It's 5 plus stars ! 1. Great Manhattan like jazz club without the hassles of going into the city . 2. Wonderful service ! Our hostess Raleena was very sweet and fun to talk to . She gave us a couple of suggestions about drinks and food and made us feel very welcome . Our waitress Kima ( hope I'm spelling her name correctly ) could not of been any nicer and accommodating . Also made some great food recommendations . 3. Food was of a high quality , tasty along with generous portions . We had fish tacos , vegetable fritters ( so good we ordered a second portion ) , along with a side order of grits and cheese . My wife who loves grits said it was one of the best she's ever had ! I had a couple of old fashionswith a generous pour I might add . It's one of the house specialty drinks which I'm glad I ordered ( thanks Raleena for that recommendation . For dessert we shared the delicious apple tart and vanilla ice cream . 4 . Last but certainly not least was the great jazz . We were fortunate to see the great jazz pianist Luis Palermo perform with his trio .!!! Attended Brunch which we had pre purchased tickets for. Brunch #1 is 11-1 , Brunch #2 is 1-3 . We were not seated until about 1:30 even though there are only about 8-10'tables in the entire place. Once we finally get a table, the owner comes over to us to let us know there was a mix up and we weren't able to sit at the VIP seating, so back to the waiting area we go for another like 10-15 min. My MIL went to the owner to complain and I believe to just get a refund on our pre purchased tickets, he decided to get loud with her by saying "YOU CAN COMPLAIN OR WE CAN TRY TO HELP YOU" because that statement alone is why I am writing a review, it was disgusting the way he reacted. By the time we were seated, the table next to us already had their food. We were a party of 6 . 2 of us ordered chicken and waffles, 3 of us the crab cakes and the other an omelette. The chicken and waffles came before anything. Those 2 people finish their food and the waiters and manager come around several times to repeatedly ask us what we ordered. As I mentioned before, brunch was over at 3. The musical guests were PACKING UP before we even got our food. Not to mention that the omelet never came, it was replaced by the crab cakes for whatever reason, without notice. We ate at 2:50pm. NEVER AGAIN WILL I RETURN. Never will I recommend this place. The waiters were nice, the manager was nice, the owner has some work to do. Not once did he check on our table like he did the others. Truly a terrible dining experience. My 1 star represents the taste of the food, shout out to the kitchen staff, even though the order was wrong and late, at least it wasn't nasty. read more

I visited for the first time in May. I wanted to support a black business. The place is very small and intimate. First of all the online seating is very misleading along with the hours (not updated). They have different prices for seating when all the seating is right on top of each other and they can just charge one set price. I brought tickets for the 9:30pm show. We got there at 9:20pm. The host did not check the tickets and said to sit anywhere, absolutely not. I wanted the seats that I had paid for ( it's not about the money but the principle). Why charge me a price based on seating and then tell me to sit anywhere. The host said the guest who were sitting in our seats would be leaving soon, so for the time being we sat the bar. Nevertheless 9:30pm came and the guest did not moved. I spoke with host and he just looked clueless and was no help. I did not want to make a scene and I wanted to enjoy my night so we stayed seated at the bar. We ordered food at 9:30pm. We went order an appetizer at 9:50pm and they said the kitchen was closed, I was confused. I said how is the kitchen closed when the website says that you all close at 2:00am. Not to mention when we put out order in no-one said thing in reference to the kitchen closing soon. The bartender stated the website is not updated, that's even more of a reason when we ordered they should have mentioned the kitchen was closing. Despite the little chaos the bartender, waitress and all over atmosphere were really nice. I may or may not go back now that I know what to expect. read more
