They are fairly new but you would not be able to tell from their professionalism, preparation and service. They have figured out the formula for keeping kids entertained and making life easy for the adults. They exceeded every expectation we had along the way! We've always had to do our own set-up for parties and came prepared to do so but were pleasantly surprised to have two staff members there, going above and beyond to ensure everything was arranged to our preferences. They made the birthday boy feel special throughout the whole party, ensuring he got to practice batting in a spot where all the parents could cheer him on, letting him lead the charge in glow-in-the dark tag, and having him go first with all of the activities. Several of the parents watched in awe as their kids learned batting techniques and improved their skills in a matter of minutes with proper positioning and guidance from the coaches. I've never seen such energy from a group of kids! They all had a blast from start to finish - so much fun that they barely wanted to pause for birthday cake and didn't want to leave when the party was over! I wanted to be respectful of our allotted time but the staff at Primetime Sports couldn't have been more accommodating and flexible. We're so pleased to have supported a family-owned business and to have introduced them to a new set of baseball-loving kids and their families. Everyone at Primetime Sports made an effort to get to know us and they felt like our own family by the end. They even sent me all of the pictures and videos they took at the party. I would recommend them to anyone looking for baseball-themed activities or simply an indoor space for an event, because I know they will knock it out of the park!

They are a family-run business and we truly felt like family by the way that they treated us and wanted to make every detail perfect for our birthday boy. The coaches were absolutely fantastic with the kids and I even learned a few tips watching how they took their time to teach each kid. They had amazing games and relay races set up to entertain the kids and I overheard many parents commenting about how this was the least stressful birthday party because they were able to sit back, relax and socialize while all the kids were entertained, safe and having a blast. It was almost hard to get the kids to come over for cake and many of them didn't want to leave when the party was over! The ladies helping with the event piece were amazing. From helping to set-up to serving food, I was impressed by their professionalism and thoughtfulness throughout the event. They even helped us pack up all of our stuff at the end of the party - something they didn't need to do, but they went above and beyond and it was so appreciated. I would highly recommend hosting a party here or bringing your child for coaching!

Kind of steep but the cage is all yours with unlimited balls. You can also not reserve and walk in and see if there are free cages. If you do the walk in then you can buy tokens which I think are about $3 for 10 pitches. I recommend doing the reservations so you don't have to worry about finding an empty cage. You can bring your own helmet, gloves, and bat or they have helmets and bats on site for you to borrow for free. There are 4 cages and they each have different ball speeds. We rented cage 1 which was the fastest one- (there are two modes; softball and baseball for each of the cages). I would recommend doing softball and working your way to baseball once you are comfortable. There are also other activities in the chelsea piers space such as the driving range, bowling, etc. So if you're done batting and want to do something else, there are plenty of choices.

You can buy tokens at the front desk - it's $3 per token, and a token will give you ten pitches. There are four cages total, including ones that pitches faster balls. All but one cage for lefties were occupied at first. While righties had to wait a while, as a lefty I was able to start batting right away. You can choose either baseball or softball for each cage. Softball is thrown at slower speed than baseball. I started with softball and it was nice that I got used to getting balls thrown at me at slower speeds, then try baseball. It was difficult to switch between baseball and softball because I had to adjust my reaction time significantly. But the more I bat, the more I want to do better and spend more time. Yet the cost adds up quickly so we were counting the pitches closely to that we don't spend too much (actually, it was more like my friends were paying attention). If you don't feel like spending much for batting, you might as well buy a glove, a bat, and a ball, get some friends and pitch outside.

This league doesn't hold a candle to NYC Social…read more NYC Social is fun and encourages collaboration amongst all of the teams. They have contests at the post-game bar meet ups for things like the most team spirit and social media love where you can win credits for future games or more importantly, a bar tab. They update their rain hotline instead of making you come to the field, only to cancel the game. They have a professional photographer that comes to the game to take action shots. Their refs are actually friendly. They hold games at a reasonable hour and not 10:00 at night. They don't allow bunting. Most importantly, their fields are not in the middle of crime ridden areas. ZogSports was fun because I got to play kickball with some great friends, but they run a really poor organization. It's a shame that this is one of the only adult sports leagues in Hoboken.

Does it replace the gym? Probably not, unless you do one of the super-competitive leagues. I did cornhole, so umm, yeah, I still needed to hit the gym afterwards haha. But I had a ton of fun, and I made some great friends that I still talk to outside of the games. There are a variety of options. In the past, I've also done volleyball, but there's kickball, soccer, dodgeball, softball, and more. You want to play it? They probably have it. You can also choose your competitive level, so whether you're a top athlete, or have 0 hand-eye coordination, there is a league for you. There are leagues offered throughout the year, and you can choose based on days (ie: Sunday league, as opposed to a weekday league). If your work schedule isn't flexible, sometimes the times can conflict. It's also a little expensive (BUT part of your contribution goes to donating to the winning team's philanthropic organization). You also get discounted alcohol after the games. Overall, if you have the time and you enjoy being social, do it. I suggest joining with at least one friend in the beginning so you feel at ease, but if you rather go at it solo, you'll still have a blast!
