The person in front was friendly. The space was pretty tight if you ask me and my husband. Our daughter liked the jungle gym and the toys they had. The little section for babies was less than desirable. I wonder how often the toys, which clearly had been bitten, get cleaned. The dress up toys has a slight odor to them, so I didn't let my daughter put them on. I guess we would go back if our daughter asked, but I don't think I would offer it. I called this morning to ask what time they'd be open until and make sure they weren't closing for a party or anything. The women on the phone said they'd be open until 5, with the latest check in time of 4pm. The ferry out of Manhattan left at 3:10 so by the time we got to Funzy's, it was 3:40PM. There was a sign on the door that said closed!! I tried the door anyways and it opened. Some girl was ducking behind the desk on her phone and said " oh I closed early because the last check in time is 4" .... In 20 minutes?? Not closing in 20 minutes, LAST CHECK IN TIME in 20 minutes. This woman just sat there and stared at me then said "yea well no one had come in for a while". How in the world is this place still in business? Whoever the owner is, fire this woman. Definitely entertaining for the little kids, and indoors with a three-story jungle gym that kept the kids running and shouting and enjoying their own games that they make up on the spot. The ball pit, inflatable toys, and slides are entertaining for enough hours that they want to stay longer than you think. Yes, the $20 a session for 1+yr old is a little on the higher side for one kid and an adult, but considering what you'd spend at a Chucky Cheese, it's similar. They have wi-fi for adults to sit with their phones, and an area in the back for only toddlers and bathrooms. No shoes inside, so bring socks or you'll have to buy them. And you can hold parties here, a 3hr time for the various packages/days, so you can definitely hold a birthday or two here. A small room with sound, and chairs - enough seating for around 10-13 kids comfortably, and they handle drinks, and food, etc., too. Also some toys upfront if you want to buy those. read more

Great place to bring the kiddos for safe fun. Let them run wild and they'll get tired out. Hot tip: bring socks or you'll have to buy some there. Snacks and toys also available for sale. They also have classes. Once there was music class and we were offered to join for no additional cost. We got a great value that day! Place is always decently clean and the staff actually walk around and check on what's going on. My only gripe is that I have seen a few kids seemingly sick that probably should have been turned away. read more

This place is AWESOME! We are glad that finally we find a perfect place in this community for kids to have fun. The staffs are friendly and warm. They explain to me patiently for how the walk in admission works. It's 9.99 for my baby to play and no time limit. We enjoy the jungle climb and toddler room. My baby love the interaction ball pit! They have a library too but not for my baby yet. Everything is so clean and safe for kids. Staffs keep checking the play area, there is a nice waiting area at the front for a good rest and feeding some snack. It's not just a fun place for kids but also great for parents to relax while kids having fun. The only thing I would suggest is they close at 7:00pm. Last walk-in is 6:15pm, it will be even better if they can close later but overall great place! read more

Went there today for the soft opening. The owner personally welcomed all the guests. There are several rooms for different age groups. My 14mo really enjoyed the ball pit. I know newport green park is near by but this place is much safer for the LOs. We'd definitely buy more passes. read more

I bring my 9 mo daughter to this place and she enjoys a lot! They have a toddler room to crawl and everything inside is well-protected. A nice and clean restroom with changing table and training toilet cover. The jungle gym is for big kids and they have three levels with big red slide and interactive ball pit. We went to play today (their grand opening). My 19 mon old had a blast! I feared she may be too young, but she navigated with ease! The facility is clean and bright. The owners were so welcoming and the entire staff was super friendly. They have a coat/stroller check, drinks and socks for purchase (socks must be worn by kids and adults) and the play area. Play area is mainly a large jungle themed gym with multiple levels, two slide areas, a ball pit with projector, multiple climbing things, etc. the gym is large enough for adults to accompany kids if needed. My 19 mon old was able to navigate the first two levels on her own and was very entertained. There are also push and riding toys, including a little roller coaster thing, as well as kinetic sand in a pit (didn't really stick to my hands!!). There is a toddler room with lots of toys, a room for parties, and private restrooms right off the play area. There are benches for parents to sit and free WiFi. They will also be hosting classes for kids- cooking, art, music, and teaching mandarin! (Not scheduled yet but the staff said there will be classes for multi age groups) So glad this place opened! Much needed in the Newport neighborhood! We will be back! read more

Further to my earlier review, while I appreciate the owner's comments to attempt to explain the situation, it should be noted that I called on Friday afternoon to discuss the situation and neither a manager nor the owner has called me back. I left a message with the front desk. I find it interesting that the only overtures being made to placate a dissatisfied customer are in a public forum. Held our daughters 3'rd birthday party here and everyone had a blast! Kids ranging from 10 months to 5 years old all enjoyed the toys and the jungle gym. The play time was 1.5-2 hrs which was perfect. The party room was beautifully decorated and we recieved all the help/support we needed to make sure everything was perfect for our birthday girl and guests! My 13 month old - who is just on the verge of walking, but loves climbing, had a blast here for a couple hours. Every aspect of the multi-level play gym was accessible and fun for toddlers, little kids and parents alike. Everything is well padded for safe climbing and designed for creative discovery and different choices at every turn. My son loved the big projector screen with simple cartoon images behind the big ball pit as much as the ample pile of balls itself. The slides were fun to go down with him, and the infant room and drawing/reading offered nice variety for my roaming son. The open space with the various 4 wheel vehicles with hilly tracks also entertained him. I admit I balked at the $20/hr rate (though I know it's the local standard rate), plus the extra fee for a 2nd parent (so my husband and I had to take turns). I had gone to other places that didn't feel that much different than my building's play room for babies, and therefore not quite worth it. Funzy quickly proved to be a very fun and unique experience for me, my husband and my son, making me very glad I went. read more
