Fun place to go! Love it!
    Melody L.

This place is AWESOME! We are glad that finally we find a perfect place in this community for kids to have fun. The staffs are friendly and warm. They explain to me patiently for how the walk in admission works. It's 9.99 for my baby to play and no time limit. We enjoy the jungle climb and toddler room. My baby love the interaction ball pit! They have a library too but not for my baby yet. Everything is so clean and safe for kids. Staffs keep checking the play area, there is a nice waiting area at the front for a good rest and feeding some snack. It's not just a fun place for kids but also great for parents to relax while kids having fun. The only thing I would suggest is they close at 7:00pm. Last walk-in is 6:15pm, it will be even better if they can close later but overall great place!

This ball pit kept him busy for a good 20min!

Went there today for the soft opening. The owner personally welcomed all the guests. There are several rooms for different age groups. My 14mo really enjoyed the ball pit. I know newport green park is near by but this place is much safer for the LOs. We'd definitely buy more passes.

The mid-day recess sessions and the after school sessions have become an absolute game changer for my very active son. He looks forward to running around in the park with his kids playing organized games by attentive safety monitors. I am looking into additional programming for my tween (11 yo) with Game Lab this summer. I love this place for my girls, 5 and 7 years old. The game lab offers after school classes, but in June I was interested to try their all-day summer camp. (Bonus that they offer early drop off and late pick up, for working parents.) When I came to pick up my daughters, they didn't want to leave. They felt triumphant that they had played and explored new games that stretched their problem-solving skills, teamwork, and social negotiating skills with other children, with whom they worked on creating their games. Staff are professional, caring, very careful with finding out kids' needs, and patient. My girls look forward to going back.

Despite this, the office staff would often ridicule the counselors behind our backs and at times to our faces for displaying any tiredness, or wanting to leave/take our lunch break at the time that was agreed upon instead of staying extra and helping more. Higher ups often gossiped among themselves said really harsh and untrue things about counselors they didn't like, or essentially anyone who asked for anything from them. Me and a fellow female counselor were sexually harassed by two male counselors, one of which was older (like in his 40s) and had a leadership position. We reported one of the incidents and our supervisor said that they would not talk to the counselor because an anonymous counselor told them that I initiated the sexual conversation. I am pretty sure (though not completely sure) that the only people who heard the conversation were me, the two harassers, and the children at the front of the bus. That makes me think that the anonymous counselor was either one of the harassers, or they were made up. The other female counselor involved told her supervisor that she didn't want to get into the pool with or be in a bathing suit around her harasser. One day after she said that her supervisor made her get in the pool with him. There were numerous incidents of a counselors doing sexual harassment or making homophobic/antisemitic comments in front of (or in some cases to) the kids. It is true that a friend of mine reported the homophobic/problematic comments and the staff did talk to the counselor about it. Even after that conversation though, a lot of the comments were still being made. (For example, a counselor would put items on camper's heads and say, this is your yarmulke. Another example was the counselor was telling a story to some kids and saying "a boy liked me and it was gross." And he asked campers their pronouns and laughed at the prospect of their pronouns not matching their gender assigned at birth). Due to the work environment I messaged the director that I wanted to quit and she did not respond. When I got into work she looked at me angrily and would not address my quitting. I later learned that she was saying very unkind things about me to other staff members. She called me into her office and told me that she did not like that I complained about the pay, which I did complain about, but not to her. Another higher up heard me complaining and told her about it, but I think I have a right to complain. I also heard incidents from other counselors of the higher-ups intimidating people into not quitting, which is not okay. Overall the camp is fun for children but was really harmful for me and other staff who worked there.

On the day of the party, they were very attentive - again, I didn't need to do anything logistical and was able to focus on greeting the guests and enjoying the party. The show they recommended for our age group (mostly almost-3 yr-olds, ranged from 1 to 5, plus parents) was Cinderella. It was as enjoyable for the grown-ups as for the kids. Many of the kids had never been to a theater before and some got a bit scared/confused when the house light first went out, but the interactive nature of the show made it easy for the kids to get into it. They make it quite fun and accessible. After the show, they served pizza and then had a delicious customized cake for us. The whole time, the actors were around, interacting with the kids... totally blew their minds to talk to the characters :D All in all, it was so memorable. Planning was so easy and smooth, people were so helpful and attentive - as someone who usually obsesses and stresses over event planning, I was lost... everything was done well, nothing went wrong, so I was left with no choice but to sit back, relax, and enjoy!

It has been about 7 or 8 years since I started playing in BCV and I haven't missed a season of joining the league or clinics. I still go to other open plays but have found that BCV is my go to when it comes to league play and clinics. They do have open play on Friday, Saturday and Sunday but sadly my schedule doesn't allow me to have enough time to play then. The open plays that I have been to for BCV have been great. There are two courts, one for intermediate and the other for advanced. The skill level varies on the intermediate court as you might get some beginners, higher beginners that play but it's all fun (we were all beginners at some point). The advanced court always has some great rally's and hitting! The league play for BCV is very well organized and maintained. I find that every season I've joined and played has always been positive (except for the losing record a few seasons in a row). There is a great level of competition, divisional breakdown, referees and for the most part (90%) of the gyms are good! I've had only a couple of issues and they have always been immediately taken care of by one of the BCV staff. I love that the scheduled matches are always the same day of the week and in the summer the gym always has AC!!! Even for the seasoned vets out there, the clinics are well worth it! Sometimes I prefer the clinics more than the actual league play because it helps tweak my game and fix all the bad habits and mistakes that I make on the court. The clinics are definitely a work out and something that I'm going to continue to sign up for. The staff of BCV has always been extremely helpful, from the very first open scrimmage that I attended to the clinics that I'm taking now. David, Ram, Adam, Nicole, Mike, Poo are just a few that have been great to deal with on regular basis. I've helped some friends and family put together some teams and introduce them to BCV, they all love the league now and continue to set their teams up every season. I'd recommend this to any volleyball player in the area if you're looking for something competitive or just looking to have some fun (you just need to find the right team and right fit). With some luck and if I pay attention during the clinics I can chase that golden ball for the spring season.
