So i'm super late on posting this review but it is much deserved! I'm very cautious about any service job on Electronics because I know people just like to screw you out of your money and create problems that didn't exist before and act like it just came out of the blue well I'm here to tell you, Human computer will not be giving you that experience! I brought my laptop in because it was having screen issues. I already had an idea of what had to be done but let Mike and Stan asses to see if they would give me an honest assessment and they did. Mike was very honest about what it could be how much it would cost and approximately how long it could take. I dropped it off and within a few hours it was fixed. Screen and wire replacement. There was a small mishap with my screen being less resolution than the original one I had but since I hadn't specified wanting the exact same screen I understand why they just replaced it with one that would fit to send me on my happy way. When I noticed the difference I simply called and they said they would order the same one I had and replace it for me NO CHARGE and took the mistake as theirs. It takes a lot to hold back your pride and do what is right for the customer, not a quality many people have anymore. Overall both Mike and Stan were a pleasure to encounter and I will definitely be returning for any computer needs I or anyone I know might have. Go to Human Computer! Many thanks to the people who wrote Yelp reviews for Human Computer. You guided me to the perfect people for my computer repairs and replacements. My 5-year-old Dell desktop went into a coma after the July 2020 Windows update. After spending 2 days with the Windows chat people (ack!!), I took my computer to Human Computer. John did an excellent job of explaining my options for repair or replacement. I decided it was time to pull the plug on the old computer and get a new one. John gave me an excellent price and installed another HDMI port because I work with 2 monitors. Two days later, I picked up my computer. The second HDMI port was installed and all my data had been transferred from my old computer. John is a very knowledgeable, fair and honest businessman. I usually buy my computers on the Dell website but never again. Dell would not have given me the personal service that John and Stanley did. If I could give them an extra star, I would! I came into the shop with a custom built gaming computer since I felt that my broken computer was far past my ability to fix it. After suddenly turning off, my computer would not turn back on and the fans would only spin up for about half a second. After buying and installing a brand new Power Supply, dismantling and sending the motherboard back to ASUS and having it sent back to me saying that they only updated the firmware (BIOS), I went to Human Computer where I met with John. Right off the bat, he was very friendly and he was able to explain his diagnosis and his plan to me in a very understandable manner. They narrowed down the options of why the problem occurred which turned out to be the processor (my last suspicion). John kept my computer in the back room for over a week as I went through Intel's RMA process and his technician assembled my computer back together the same day I dropped the processor off, despite having told me that he was bogged down with a large amount of work. Now that's great customer service! The total cost of labor was only $100 (their maximum cost) which is way cheaper than most of their competitors. I most definitely will be back if I ever have another computer problem, hats off to John and the experienced team at Human Computer! read more

I brought in my Dell laptop because the trackpad stopped working. Human Computer was able to diagnose that my laptop battery had swelled and, was pushing against the trackpad and was able to replace the battery and fix the issue for $100. I have used the services of Human Computer in Riverside for some time. I have bought work and personal computers from them as have some of my friends. They have also taken care of all my computer problems for me (most caused by me!) Recently I stopped in to buy my wife a new Tablet for Christmas - her HP was dying. Gave me a wonderful price for a unit that was a lot more than I expected to get. I love the help I get from them and the willingness to listen to all my stupid questions. I am nothing close to a computer wise person, so I just rely on them and they haven't failed me yet. I recently bought some cables from Best Buy and then stopped by HC to ask them a question that BB didn't have a clue about. I found out I spent way too much for my cables. Bought more from HC for about 1/2 the price and returned the others to BB. Going back tomorrow with my Dell for a fix. read more

Went to Human Computer Friday10//10/14 after I got a black screen only on start up, on my 1 1/2 year old Dell/Windows 8 desk top computer, Mike who was polite, friendly, and very knowledgeable opened up my computer and checked it for loose HDD connections, plugged it in and hooked it up, turned it on and my login screen came back up wow! I had two computers stopped working at the same time. One computer was fixed right away, but the other one was evading the repair. John and Mike were more than helpful in making sure that the computer was fixed to work properly. I visited Human Computer yesterday for the first time and I am so impressed by their fast, friendly, and HONEST service! I've driven by this place a million times and some of those times were when I was on my way to a large electronics store that has their own "squad" to fix computers/devices. I took my daughter's chrome book in for repair since it would not power on. Received a call within just a few hours that the issue was with the motherboard and it'd just be better to purchase a new one since chrome books are not very expensive at all. They didn't charge me to take a look at it (not sure if this is their standard practice when something is beyond repair???) and they took care of recycling the chrome book. I will definitely return in the future and wish I would've discovered this "mom and pop" type place years ago....could've saved myself a lot of frustration, down time, and money! read more

Excellent service - brought in a laptop that my boyfriend and I thought was dead but it turned out to just be our power cord, and the man working there was very helpful and kind to us. We were about to get a new battery for the computer as well, but he told us that we should use the new power cord for awhile and make sure that that was the only problem before buying an expensive battery--very honest and genuine. Just had a wonderful experience with this business. Took my laptop in with a display issue. They looked at computer and performed a couple of things and got the display back to normal. Now I braced for the normal sales pitch of upsale products and services that is so prevalent in this industry. Instead my laptop was handed back to me and I was told if the problem persisted, just bring it back and we could then dig further. No charge this time. As a business in a free trade society, He had every right to charge me a reasonable amount for the service provided. Instead he told me that his goal was to have me come to him if I had a legitimate problem in the future. This is how an ethical and legitimate small business should be run. I'm not a PC tech.They treated me like i should know all the terms and mumbo jumbo about my Laptop.I had it repaired there and was satisfied.I found out a few months later it was not fully repaired,Tried to connect something and it wouldn't work.Found out through them that some ports din't work.It was something they should have checked and made sure it worked.they treated it like a new problem and wanted to charge me for a new reset up.I don't complain hardly ever but that day i had to.I didn't have to pay but when i got home i found other problems that i know were made by them.My laptop is not the same. This company has NEVER let me down. I have been using them for years. Just recently took in a computer that I've been having problems with. It was quickly determined that my hard drive was bad. But they made me such a great deal on a replacement computer with a ton of upgrades. When I was having problems getting it hooked up to my wireless at home they gave me a top of the line "thing" for it and it worked perfect. The bottom line is.... I'm not very knowledgeable. I was an idiot and spilled milk on my Macbook Pro, which made the keyboard stop working. I called apple to see how much it would cost to fix it and how long it would take. Apple gave me an estimate of a couple hundred dollars and over a week and a half before I would get my laptop back. I went into Human Computer the same afternoon, dropped off my laptop, and they had it completely fixed the very next morning for less than half of what apple was going to charge me. Extremely quick, reasonable, and helpful service. I highly recommend Human Computer, and after my experience there, I'm certain I'll be a lifelong customer. read more
